Claims (5)
- 発光管と、前記発光管内にて対向する一対の円柱状の電極と、前記電極を前記発光管内に保持する内部リード棒とを具備する放電ランプにおいて、前記電極には、前記内部リード棒との接続部と同軸状に、前記接続部より大きい穴径であって、前記穴径より大きい深さの凹部が形成されていることを特徴とする放電ランプ。
- 前記電極には、前記電極の側面側開口部から凹部側開口部へと通じる貫通孔が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の放電ランプ。
- 前記側面側開口部は、前記凹部側開口部よりも前記電極の放電端側に近いことを特徴とする請求項2記載の放電ランプ。
- 前記電極の円柱高さをL1とし、前記凹部の深さをL2とすると、(L1/3)<L2<(2L1/3)であることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の放電ランプ。
- 前記電極の外径をD1とし、前記凹部内における内部リード棒の最大外径をD2とし、前記凹部の最大径をD3とするとき、(0.7×(D1−D2))<D3<(1.1×(D1−D2))であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の放電ランプ。
