Description

本発明は、飲料などを充填する包装充填装置及び包装充填方法に関する。
牛乳、ミネラルウォーター、茶、ジュース、スープ、アルコール類等の流動食品を収容する包装容器を製造する場合、ウェブ状(帯状)の包装積層材料が使用され、該包装積層材料がヒートシール、超音波シール等によってシールされることにより、包装容器が形成される。例えば、包装充填装置において、帯状包装積層材料の縁部にシーリングテープを前もって接合し、包装積層材料をチューブ状に成形し、チューブの内側から、包装積層材料の両縁部同士を、シーリングテープと共に押し当てて縦シール装置によって長手方向(縦方向)にシールした後、チューブ状の包装積層材料の中に液体食品を充填しながら、横シール装置によって横方向にシールして切断し、枕状の原型容器を形成し、該原型容器を更に所定の形状に成形して包装容器を完成させる。
前記包装充填装置において、この装置内を帯状包装積層材料が搬送され、その無菌室内で帯状包装積層材料の縁部である縦シール部面に帯状包装材料の他端の縁部が合せられ、これらの材料が接合される。すなわち、チューブ状に成形された包装積層材料の両縁部同士を、縦シール装置によってシーリングテープと共に押し当てて縦シールする。
帯状包装積層材料の縁部面に他端の縁部を合せ接合する際、例えば、帯状包装積層材料の縁部に他端の縁部とを予熱し、これらを挟んで、一方側に、プレッシャローラを回転自在に配設して圧し、他方に、プレッシャローラによる圧力を受け、それに対向し、押さえ支持するようにカウンタローラを回転自在に配設する。
したがって、予熱された包装積層材料が搬送されるに伴って、前記プレッシャローラ及びカウンタローラが包装積層材料の両縁部同士を挟んだ状態で押圧されて回転させ、合せて接合する面がヒートシールされ接合される。(例えば、特許文献1参照)。

包装充填装置において、縦シールの良否制御パラメータには、例えば、予熱手段の予熱温度、プレッシャローラの押圧力、無菌室内の雰囲気温度及び、無菌室内の陽圧の程度などである。これらのパラメータが相互に関連して、良好な縦シールの条件が形成されている。従って、予熱手段による縦シール部分の加熱温度が低いとして一方的に予熱温度を高く設定すると、他とのバランスが崩れ、良好な縦シールの条件が形成されないことがある。
この発明は、良好な縦シールの全体的条件を崩すこと無く、予熱手段の加熱温度を制御することができる包装充填装置及び包装充填方法を提供することである。
本発明の包装充填装置は、連続的に搬送される帯状包装積層材料の縁部の縦シール部面に、帯状包装積層材料が筒状に成形され帯状包装積層材料の他方の縁部を合せて接合し、内容物を充填して横シールし、帯状包装積層材料を切断分離して容器に包装充填する装置であって、
少なくとも筒状成形及び合せ接合における包装積層材料を無菌的に収容する無菌室と、
ホットエアーを噴出するノズルを備え、帯状包装積層材料の一方若しくは両方の縁部を、縦シールのために予熱する予熱手段と、
予熱手段へ供給されるホットエアーの流路に設けられ、ホットエアーの一部若しくは全部を、制御信号により、無菌室内に放出するエアー調節手段とを有することを特徴とする。
この発明の好ましい態様において、包装充填装置の運転パラメータ値及び又は包装充填装置の運転モニタリング値から判定して予熱手段に制御信号を送信する制御手段を有する。
この発明の好ましい態様において、予熱された縁部の表面を臨み、表面の表面温度を測定して測定値信号の運転モニタリング値を送信する温度計を有する。
この発明の好ましい態様において、制御手段からの制御信号により、包装充填され、不良と判定された容器を排出する。
本発明の包装充填方法は、連続的に搬送される帯状包装積層材料の縁部の縦シール部面に、帯状包装積層材料が筒状に成形され帯状包装積層材料の他方の縁部を合せて接合し、内容物を充填して横シールし、帯状包装積層材料を切断分離して容器に包装充填する方法であって、
少なくとも筒状成形のステップ及び合せ接合のステップにおいて、包装積層材料を無菌的に無菌室に収容し、
ホットエアーを噴出するノズルを備える予熱手段によって、帯状包装積層材料の一方若しくは両方の縁部を、縦シールのために予熱し、
包装充填装置の運転パラメータ値及び又は包装充填装置の運転モニタリング値から制御手段が判定して予熱手段に制御信号を送信し、
予熱手段へ供給されるホットエアーの流路に設けられたエアー調節手段によって、ホットエアーの一部若しくは全部を、制御信号により、無菌室内に放出する、
ことを特徴とする。
この発明による包装充填装置及び方法は、連続的に搬送される帯状包装積層材料の縁部の縦シール部面に、帯状包装積層材料が筒状に成形され帯状包装積層材料の他方の縁部を合せて接合し、少なくとも筒状成形のステップ及び合せ接合のステップにおいて、包装積層材料を無菌的に無菌室に収容し、内容物を充填して横シールし、帯状包装積層材料を切断分離して容器に包装充填する。
この装置・方法において、帯状包装積層材料が連続的に装置に供給され、連続的に、無菌的に、内容物が充填され成形された容器が製造される。
本発明の包装充填装置の特徴において、帯状包装積層材料の一方若しくは両方の縁部を、予熱手段によって縦シールのために予熱する。
ホットエアヒータである予熱手段が、帯状包装積層材料の一方若しくは両方の縁部を加熱し、加熱部分面が、例えば、熱シール性熱可塑性樹脂であれば、軟化若しくは溶融し、別の縦シール面と接合したとき、ヒートシールすることができるようになる。
本発明の包装充填装置の特徴において、包装充填装置の運転パラメータ値及び又は包装充填装置の運転モニタリング値から制御手段が判定して予熱手段に制御信号を送信する。
包装充填装置の運転パラメータ値には、運転開始時刻、一時運転中断のショートストップ時刻、帯状包装積層材料の搬送速度などがあり、包装充填装置の運転モニタリング値には、予熱手段のホットエアー温度、予熱された縁部の表面の表面温度、プレッシャローラの押圧力、無菌室内の雰囲気温度及び、無菌室内の陽圧の程度などがある。
制御手段の判定例としては、運転開始直後の包装積層材料の比較的遅い搬送速度の段階において比較的高い予熱縁部の表面温度になり、この段階では、予熱手段へ供給されるホットエアーの流路に設けられたエアー調節手段によって、ホットエアーの一部を無菌室内に放出するように制御信号を送信する。横シールする位置を調整するデザイン調整では、更に搬送速度が遅くなり、表面温度がより高くなる段階においては、更に多くのホットエアーを無菌室内に放出するように制御信号を送信する。
本発明の包装充填の好ましい態様において、予熱された縁部の表面を臨み、表面の表面温度を測定して測定値信号の運転モニタリング値を送信する温度計、例えば、非接触赤外線放射型温度計を有する。
この非接触赤外線放射型温度計のセンサ面が、予熱された縁部の表面を臨み、その表面の表面温度を測定する。この赤外線放射型温度計とは、全ての物体はその表面から何らかの熱エネルギーを放射することを利用する。放射温度計は、その熱エネルギーの量(強度または輝度)を非接触で測定し、温度換算することで物体の温度を測定する。
本発明の包装充填の好ましい態様において、更に、制御手段からの制御信号により、包装充填され、不良と判定された容器を排出することもできる。
上述のように、良好な縦シールの全体的条件で予熱手段の加熱温度を制御することができる。
以下、本発明の実施の形態について図面を参照しながら詳細に説明する。
図1は、この発明による一実施例の包装充填装置の予熱手段の概略図である。図2は、この発明に使用できる包装充填装置の一例を示す概略斜視図である。
図2に示されるように、帯状包装積層材料1は、リールの状態で包装充填装置に収容される。包装積層材料1は、紙基材及び紙基材の両面にポリエチレン樹脂が積層された可撓性の積層体から成り、アルミニウム箔、ガスバリヤ性樹脂等から成るバリヤ層が形成され、文字模様等の印刷が施される。
繰り出された包装積層材料1は、搬送手段によって連続的に搬送され、ベンディングローラ、ダンパローラ等を経て、シーリングテープ貼着装置3に送られ、包装積層材料1の一方の縁部に沿ってシーリングテープ2が貼着される。
帯状包装積層材料1の縁部にシーリングテープ2を前もって接着する際、帯状包装積層材料とシーリングテープ2とを挟んで、一方側に、プレッシャローラを回転自在に配設して圧し、他方に、プレッシャローラによる圧力を受け、それに対向し、押さえ支持するようにカウンタローラを回転自在に配設する。
包装積層材料が搬送されるに伴って、プレッシャローラ及びカウンタローラが包装積層材料及びシーリングテープを挟んだ状態で押圧されて回転させ、縦シール部の合せ面がシールされ接着される。
続いて、包装積層材料1は、殺菌槽4に送られ、殺菌槽4において過酸化水素等の殺菌液によって殺菌される。包装積層材料1は、エアナイフ5に送られ、エアナイフ5によって乾燥させられた後、無菌室40に送られる。そして、包装積層材料1は、成形リング6、その他の成形リングによって徐々に変形させられてチューブ状の形状にされる。包装積層材料1は、縦シール装置の予熱手段8からのホットエアーによって予熱されて、縦方向にシールされ、充填パイプ7を介して供給された流動性食品がチューブ状包装積層材料1内に充填される。
ホットエアーは帯状包装積層材料の縁部を加熱する。筒状成形のステップ及び予熱・シールステップにおいて、包装積層材料を無菌的に無菌室40で被い一時的に収容する。
包装積層材料1は、縦シール装置の予熱手段8からのホットエアーによって予熱される。縦シール装置の一例を示す図1の概略図を参照して説明すると、予熱手段8において、ガイドロールで包装積層材料の縁部一端1aを案内しながら、縁部一端1aを予熱手段8のホットエアーノズルで加熱し、ホットエアーノズルの裏面で縁部他端も案内する。
プレッシャローラとカウンタローラとによって、チューブ状に成形された包装積層材料1の両縁部同士を、縦シール装置のローラによってシーリングテープと共に押し当てる。
プレッシャローラは、予熱手段8により加熱された縦シール部を筒内側から圧する。他方、カウンタローラが、縦シール部を挟んでプレッシャローラと対向し、筒外側から押さえる。その結果、熱と圧力で縦シールを得ることができる。
図1に示す態様では、包装充填装置の運転パラメータ値及び又は包装充填装置の運転モニタリング値から制御手段20が判定して予熱手段8側に制御信号Aを送信する。
包装充填装置の運転パラメータ値には、運転開始時刻、一時運転中断のショートストップ時刻、帯状包装積層材料の搬送速度などがある。
包装充填装置の運転モニタリング値には、予熱手段8のホットエアー温度(測定信号C)、温度計21で測定された予熱縁部1aの表面の表面温度(測定信号B)、ホットエアー供給源23の温度(測定信号D)、プレッシャローラの押圧力、無菌室内の雰囲気温度及び、無菌室内の陽圧の程度などがある。
図1に示す態様では、ホットエアー供給源23から予熱手段8へ供給されるホットエアーの流路22に設けられたエアー調節手段24が設けられている。
エアー調節手段24としては、ノズルヘッド近辺にバイパスホールを設け、ホットエアー流量を制御信号Aによって制御するソレノイドバルブがある。このバルブから無菌室内にホットエアーを逃がすことができる。
図1に示す制御態様では、運転開始直後の比較的遅い搬送速度で比較的高い予熱縁部の表面温度になり、この段階で、ホットエアー供給源23から予熱手段8へ供給されるホットエアーの流路22に設けられたエアー調節手段24によって、制御手段20がホットエアーの一部を無菌室40内に放出するように制御信号Aを送信する。更に搬送速度が遅くなり、表面温度がより高くなると、更に多くのホットエアーを無菌室40内に放出するように制御信号を送信する。
一方、搬送速度が正常に戻ったとき、ホットエアーの放出を停止するように制御信号を送信する。
上述のように、無菌室40内に放出されるので、無菌室40内全体への流量は不変のままであり、陽圧も変化しない。また、予熱手段8のノズルに流れるホットエアーの流量を調節することができるので、予熱手段8のノズルへ流れるホットエアーの流量を制御することでき、このノズル及び予熱縁部の表面の温度を制御することができる。
図1に示す好ましい態様において、予熱された縁部1aの表面を臨み、表面温度を測定して測定値信号Bの運転モニタリング値を送信する非接触赤外線放射型温度計21を有する。この非接触赤外線放射型温度計のセンサ面が、予熱された縁部の表面を臨み、その表面の表面温度を測定する。
上述の実施例から実証されたように、、良好な縦シールの全体的条件で予熱手段の加熱温度を制御することができる。
図2に示すように、チューブ状包装積層材料1は、ローラによって案内され、横シール装置10に送られ、挟まれて横方向にシールされ、横シールされ容器に成形された包装積層材料12は、ナイフなどで切断されて枕状の原型容器13が形成される。そして、原型容器13は、最終成形搬送装置によって搬送されて最終の形状に成形され、流動性食品を収容する包装容器14が完成する。
なお、本発明は前記実施の形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明の趣旨に基づいて種々変形させることが可能であり、それらを本発明の範囲から排除するものではない。
この発明の包装充填装置及び包装充填方法によって、牛乳、ジュース、ミネラルウォーターなどの飲料、流動食品などの包装容器を製造することができる。

Claims (5)

  1. 連続的に搬送される帯状包装積層材料の縁部の縦シール部面に、該帯状包装積層材料が筒状に成形され該帯状包装積層材料の他方の縁部を合せて接合し、内容物を充填して横シールし、該帯状包装積層材料を切断分離して容器に包装充填する装置であって、
    少なくとも前記筒状成形及び前記の合せ接合における前記包装積層材料を無菌的に収容する無菌室と、
    ホットエアーを噴出するノズルを備え、前記帯状包装積層材料の一方若しくは両方の縁部を、縦シールのために予熱する予熱手段と、
    該予熱手段へ供給される該ホットエアーの流路に設けられ、該ホットエアーの一部若しくは全部を、制御信号により、該無菌室内に放出するエアー調節手段とを有する
    ことを特徴とする包装充填装置。
  2. 該包装充填装置の運転パラメータ値及び又は該包装充填装置の運転モニタリング値から判定して該予熱手段に制御信号を送信する制御手段とを有する、請求項1記載の包装充填装置。
  3. 予熱された該縁部の表面を臨み、該表面の表面温度を測定して測定値信号の該運転モニタリング値を送信する温度計を有する、請求項1記載の包装充填装置。
  4. 前記制御手段からの制御信号により、包装充填され、不良と判定された前記容器を排出する、請求項1記載の包装充填装置。
  5. 連続的に搬送される帯状包装積層材料の縁部の縦シール部面に、該帯状包装積層材料が筒状に成形され該帯状包装積層材料の他方の縁部を合せて接合し、内容物を充填して横シールし、該帯状包装積層材料を切断分離して容器に包装充填する方法であって、
    少なくとも前記筒状成形のステップ及び前記の合せ接合のステップにおいて、前記包装積層材料を無菌的に無菌室に収容し、
    ホットエアーを噴出するノズルを備える予熱手段によって、前記帯状包装積層材料の一方若しくは両方の縁部を、縦シールのために予熱し、
    該包装充填装置の運転パラメータ値及び又は該包装充填装置の運転モニタリング値から制御手段が判定して該予熱手段に制御信号を送信し、
    該予熱手段へ供給される該ホットエアーの流路に設けられたエアー調節手段によって、該ホットエアーの一部若しくは全部を、該制御信号により、該無菌室内に放出する、
    ことを特徴とする包装充填方法。
