Description
上記の問題は、ポリマーの乳濁液又は懸濁液を処理する方法であって、該乳濁液又は懸濁液をデカンター遠心分離機を利用して濃厚化する工程を含む当該方法により解決することができる。
図1:ポリマーラテックス又は懸濁液を水平デカンター遠心分離機を用いて処理する方法についての流れ図を示している。
用語「ポリマー塊状化物」は、ここで用いる場合、典型的には、液体中に分散又は懸濁されたコロイド状ポリマー粒子の結合又は凝集に由来するクラスター、マトリクス又は塊状化物を意味する。
平均ポリマー粒子サイズ: 5〜10ミクロン
組成:
PVDF 2〜8%
水 89〜97%
VF2 極微量
界面活性剤 極微量
密度: 0.9〜0.999g/cc
洗浄/添加剤添加用容器からのPVDF試料を、下記の装備構成の6”水平デカンター遠心分離機を用いて:
ボール直径: 152mm
ボール長さ: 356mm
ビーチ角度: 10度
様々な遠心力及び操作条件下で処理した。供給物中のポリマー含有量は、3.3〜4.1重量%である。結果を表2に要約した:
洗浄/添加剤添加用容器からのPVDF試料を、6”水平デカンター遠心分離機を用いて、様々な遠心力及び操作条件下で処理した。このデカンターは、プラウタイル及びフローターディスクを備えている。この供給物中のポリマー含有量は、約4.4重量%である。結果を、下記の表3に要約した:
Claims (14)
- 連続水性相及びポリマー塊状化物を含み電解質が添加されていない水性ポリマー乳濁液又は懸濁液を処理する方法であって、
該方法は、該水性ポリマー乳濁液又は懸濁液を、該連続水性相の一部を除去するためにデカンター遠心分離機で該水性ポリマー乳濁液又は懸濁液を遠心することによって、濃厚化する工程を含み、
該水性ポリマー乳濁液又は懸濁液は遠心に先立って電解質が添加されておらず、
該乳濁液又は懸濁液中のポリマー塊状化物が連続水性相より小さい密度を有することを特徴とする当該方法。 - 前記のデカンター遠心分離機が、水平デカンター遠心分離機である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- デカンター遠心分離機に入る水性ポリマー乳濁液又は懸濁液が、1〜30%のポリマー固体レベルを有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- デカンター遠心分離機に入る水性ポリマー乳濁液又は懸濁液が、重合反応器、仕上げユニット、洗浄ユニット、添加剤添加ユニット又は濃厚化ユニットからの流出物である、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記のポリマー塊状化物が、ポリマーとしてフルオロポリマーを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記のフルオロポリマーが、ポリビニリデンフルオリドのホモポリマー、コポリマー、又はターポリマーである、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記のデカンター遠心分離機を、100〜4000倍の重力の遠心力で運転する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記のデカンター遠心分離機を、5秒〜10分間の液体持続時間で運転する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記のデカンター遠心分離機を、1〜100rpmのスクロール速度で運転する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記のデカンター遠心分離機を、最大プール容積の10〜95%のプール容積で運転する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記のデカンター遠心分離機が、連続相の排出側にフローターディスクを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記のデカンター遠心分離機が、5〜25度のビーチ角度を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記のデカンター遠心分離機が、1:1〜4:1のボール長さ対ボール直径の比を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記の処理が、単一のデカンター遠心分離工程を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
