Description
本発明の範囲を限定することなく、請求された本発明の実施例の要約を以下に記載する。要約された本発明の実施例のさらなる詳細及び/又は本発明のさらなる実施例については、後述する発明の詳細な説明に記載される。
一実施例においては、本発明は、周方向に延びる複数の帯状体を備え、近接する帯状体同士が互いに連結されるステントに関する。ステントは、周方向に延びる第1の帯状体と、周方向に延びる第2の帯状体を備える。第1の帯状体は、屈曲ストラットにより連結される第1の突部と第1の溝部が、第1の個数だけ交互に配置されることを特徴とし、第2の帯状体は、屈曲ストラットにより連結される第2の突部と第2の溝部が、第1の個数とは異なる第2の個数だけ交互に配置されることを特徴とする。
望ましくは、第1及び第2の突部と第1及び第2の溝部は、ステントの長さ方向の軸線に対して0°〜70°の角度をなすように配置される。さらに望ましくは、第1及び第2の突部と第1及び第2の溝部は、ステントの長さ方向の軸線に対して少なくとも10°の角度をなすように配置され、最も望ましくは、ステントの長さ方向の軸線に対して少なくとも15°の角度をなすように配置される。
状況に応じて、各屈曲ストラットは、第1の帯状体の屈曲ストラットの幅が、第2の帯状体の屈曲ストラットの幅を超えるようにしてもよい。
また、周方向において近接する第1の突部と第1の溝部は、ストラットにより連結され、周方向において近接する第2の突部と第2の溝部は、ストラットにより連結される。各ストラットは、第1の帯状体のストラットの幅が、第2の帯状体のストラットの幅を超える幅であることを特徴とする。通常、周方向において近接するストラット同士は、互いに対して平行となる。
別の実施例においては、本発明は、複数の開口部を有する側壁を備えたステントに関する。各開口部は、少なくとも第1のステント部材と第2のステント部材により画定される。第1のステント部材は、第2のステント部材よりも広い幅を有する。第1のステント部材は、ステントの長さ方向の軸線に非平行となるように延びる、複数個の第1の屈曲ストラットを備える。第2のステント部材は、ステントの長さ方向の軸線に非平行となるように延びる、複数個の第2の屈曲ストラットを備える。第1の屈曲ストラットは、ステントの長さ方向の軸線に非平行となるフィンガー状をなす第1の突部を形成する。第2の屈曲ストラットは、ステントの長さ方向の軸線に非平行となるフィンガー状をなす第2の突部を形成する。なお、第2の突部の数は、第1の突部の数よりも多くされる。
別の実施例においては、開口部は、第1の開口部と第2の開口部からなり、第1の開口部は、各々、第2の突部に平行となる第1の突部により形成される。通常、第2の開口部は、各々、第2の突部に非平行となる第1の突部により形成される。
本願において、「屈曲ストラット」とは、製造方法を意味するものではなく、屈曲部を有するストラット、角をなすストラット、曲線をなすストラットを含むものとし、ストラット又は全体としてのステントがどのように製造されるかということは問題としない。本願において記載される屈曲ストラットは、通常、屈曲部により連結される2つの短片を有する。
一実施例においては、本発明は、複数の周方向に延びる帯状体を備える、図1aにおいて符号100にて示されるようなステントに関する。近接する帯状体同士は、互いに連結される。帯状体は、周方向に延びる第1の帯状体104と周方向に延びる第2の帯状体112とを備える。第1の帯状体104は、屈曲ストラット110により連結されて交互に第1の個数配置される、第1の突部106と第1の溝部108を有することを特徴とする。第2の帯状体112は、屈曲ストラット118により連結されて交互に第2の個数配置される、第2の突部114と第2の溝部116を有することを特徴とする。図1aに示されるように、第2の突部及び溝部の第2の個数は、通常、第1の突部及び溝部の第1の個数とは異なり、望ましくは、第2の個数は第1の個数を上回る。
長さ方向において近接する第1の帯状体と第2の帯状体は、少なくとも1個のコネクタ320により、好ましくは複数のコネクタにより、互いに連結される。本実施例においては、コネクタは直線状をなし、ステント300の長さ方向の軸線301に非平行である。また、図3aに示される実施例においては、コネクタの長さは、帯状体の長さL2よりもかなり短くなっている。しかしながら、状況に応じて、屈曲部をより多く有するコネクタや異なる長さを有するコネクタ等の、他のコネクタも使用することができる。
この実施例においても、ステントの周面上に通路を形成する第1の帯状体と第2の帯状体が設けられる。第1の通路と第2の通路は、同一の長さを有してもよく、異なる長さを有してもよいが、望ましくは、同一の長さを有する。
また、図5bの実施例に示されるように、第1の帯状体の各屈曲ストラットの幅W1は、第2の帯状体の各屈曲ストラットの幅W2に等しい。必要に応じ、これらの幅を異なるようにしてもよい。例えば、第1の帯状体の幅W1は、第2の帯状体の幅W2を超えるようにしてもよい。
ステントは、さらに、フィンガー状をなす突部に類似する形状をなす屈曲ストラットを有することを特徴とする。各屈曲ストラットは、一定の幅を有することを特徴としてもよい。必要に応じて、第1の帯状体の屈曲ストラットの幅W1は、第2の帯状体の屈曲ストラットの幅W2を超える。
ステントは、さらに、図6aの実施例における突部と同様のフィンガー状をなす突部の形状をなす屈曲ストラットを有することを特徴とする。各屈曲ストラットは、一定の幅を有することを特徴としてもよい。必要に応じて、第1の帯状体の屈曲ストラットの幅W1は、第2の帯状体の屈曲ストラットの幅W2を超える。
長さ方向において近接する第1の帯状体と第2の帯状体は、1個又は複数のコネクタにより、互いに連結されてもよい。コネクタは、任意の形状をとることができる。一実施例においては、図9aに示されるように、直線状をなすコネクタ220を使用してもよい。コネクタは、図9bに示されるように、長さ方向の軸線に非平行であってもよく、別の実施例におけるように、長さ方向の軸線に平行であってもよい。
別の実施例においては、図9aの例に示されるように、ステントは複数の開口部を備え、同開口部は、第1の開口部222aと第2の開口部222bを有する。第1の開口部222aは、それぞれ、第2の突部226aに平行となる第1の突部224aを備える。第2の開口部222bは、それぞれ、第2の突部226bに非平行となる第1の突部224bを備える。
図13の実施例においては、近接する第1の帯状体104と第2の帯状体112は、1個のコネクタにより、望ましくは複数のコネクタ120により、互いに連結される。コネクタ120は、第1の帯状体の突部106から第2の帯状体112の溝部116へ延び、また、第2の帯状体112の突部114から第1の帯状体104の溝部108へ延びる。コネクタ120は、望ましくは、第2の帯状体112のストラットよりもかなり短くされる。さらに望ましくは、コネクタ120の長さは、第1の帯状体104のストラット110の幅と同じくらいの大きさである。図13に示されるように、先端方向に延びる各コネクタは、3個のストラットにより、基端方向に延びるコネクタとは分離される。コネクタ120は、直線状をなし、長さ方向の軸に平行となる。
図18の実施例は、図17の実施例に類似するが、図17のストラットが長さ方向の軸線に対して30°の角度をなして延びるのに対し、図18の屈曲ストラットの各部分は長さ方向の軸線に対して40°の角度をなして延びている点が異なる。
また、本発明は、図12の例に示されるような、近接する帯状体同士が複数のコネクタにより連結される、周方向に延びる複数の帯状体を備えたステントに関する。帯状体は、周方向に延びる第1の帯状体104と周方向に延びる第2の帯状体112を有する。第1の帯状体104は、交互に第1の個数配置されて、屈曲ストラットにより連結される第1の突部106と第1の溝部108を有することを特徴とする。第2の帯状体212は、交互に第2の個数配置されて、屈曲ストラット118により連結される第2の突部114及び第2の溝部116を有することを特徴とする。第2の個数は、第1の個数とは異なる。第2の帯状体112は、それぞれ、少なくとも1個のコネクタ120により、望ましくは複数のコネクタ120により、近接する第1の帯状体104の一つに連結される。1個以上のコネクタ120は、近接する第1の帯状体104の突部106から第2の帯状体112の突部114に延びる。第2の帯状体112は、それぞれ、1個以上のコネクタ120により、近接する別の第1の帯状体104に連結される。コネクタ120は、この第1の帯状体104の溝部108から第2の帯状体112の溝部116に延びる。
望ましくは、本発明のステントのエルボ領域の角度γは、ステントの拡張時にも一定であり、拡張された状態においても、非拡張時とほぼ同じ角度となる。この特徴は、ステントの圧縮強さに寄与する。
また、望ましくは、第1の帯状体の突部は、第2の帯状体の突部とは異なる方向に指向し、第1の帯状体の溝部は、第2の帯状体の溝部とは異なる方向に指向する。
通常、ステントは、蛇行して周方向に延びる第1の帯状体と蛇行して周方向に延びる第2の帯状体を複数個備える。第1の帯状体と第2の帯状体は、ステントの長さに沿って、交互に配置される。第1の帯状体の突部の数個は、第2の帯状体の溝部の数個と重なり合う。
望ましくは、各セルは、基端部に3個の溝部を有し、先端部に3個の突部を有する。

Claims (11)
- 内部において長さ方向に延びる流路を有し、蛇行して周方向に延びる複数の帯状体(104)を備え、帯状体(104)は、蛇行して周方向に延びる第1の帯状体と、蛇行して周方向に延びる第2の帯状体とを備え、第1の帯状体は複数の突部(106)と溝部(108)を備え、第1の帯状体の近接する突部(106)と溝部(108)は第1の方向に配向される屈曲ストラット(110)により連結され、第2の帯状体(104b)は複数の突部(106)と溝部(108)を備え、第2の帯状体の近接する突部(106)と溝部(108)は、第1の方向とは異なる第2の方向に配向される屈曲ストラット(110)により連結され、各屈曲ストラット(110)は、第1の部分(110a)及び第2の部分(110b)を有する2個の直線部分と、第1の部分(110a)及び第2の部分(110b)を接続する単一の屈曲部(110c)とを有し、ステントが非拡張状態にあるときに、周方向において近接する屈曲ストラット(110)同士が互いに離間し、第1の帯状体の突部(106)の数個は、重なり領域(130)において、第2の帯状体の溝部(108)の数個と重なり合い、
前記第1の部分(110a)の長さは前記第2の部分(110b)の長さと異なり、かつ前記第1の部分(110a)の前記ステントの長さ方向に対する角度が前記第2の部分(110b)の前記ステントの長さ方向に対する角度と異なり、それにより、前記ステントの周方向において近接する屈曲ストラット(110)の屈曲部(110c)が、互いに対して長さ方向において偏移している、ステント(100)。 - 第1の帯状体の突部(106)と第1の帯状体の溝部(108)が、長さ方向に対して異なる方向に指向する請求項1に記載のステント。
- 第2の帯状体の突部(106)と第2の帯状体の溝部(108)が、長さ方向に対して異なる方向に指向する請求項2に記載のステント。
- 第1の帯状体の突部(106)が、第2の帯状体の突部(106)とは異なる方向に指向し、第1の帯状体の溝部(108)が、第2の帯状体の溝部(108)とは異なる方向に指向する請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載のステント。
- 屈曲ストラット(110)の少なくとも数個が、第2の部分(110b)よりも長い第1の部分(110a)を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載のステント。
- 蛇行して周方向に延びる複数個の第1の帯状体と、蛇行して周方向に延びる複数個の第2の帯状体とを備え、第1の帯状体と第2の帯状体が、ステントの長さに沿って交互に配置され、第1の帯状体の突部(106)の数個が、第2の帯状体の溝部(108)の数個と重なり合う請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載のステント。
- 各重なり領域(130)が、長さ方向に平行となるように延びる請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載のステント。
- 各重なり領域(130)が、長さ方向に直交する方向に延びる請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載のステント。
- 各重なり領域(130)が、長さ方向に斜状をなす方向に延びる請求項1乃至6のいずれか一項に記載のステント。
- ステントが複数の帯状体(104)を含み、帯状体の少なくとも1個は、他の帯状体と比較して円周長さが長い、請求項1乃至9のいずれか一項に記載のステント。
- 最基端側の帯状体と最先端側の帯状体の少なくとも一方の円周長さが、その他の帯状体の円周長さと異なる、請求項10に記載のステント。
