Claims (15)
- 相手側コネクタを収容するように構成されたキャビティ(108)を有する誘電性ハウジング(102)と、
複数のコンタクト(118)のアレイを有し、前記コンタクト(118)のそれぞれが前記キャビティ内に露出した状態で前記相手側コネクタと係合するように前記誘電性ハウジング(102)内に収容される、コンタクトサブアセンブリ(110)と
を有し、
前記コンタクト(118)のそれぞれが梁部(160)および尾部(162)を有しており、前記尾部(162)のそれぞれが、湾曲部で脚部(176)に連結するベース区間(170)を含み、複数の前記脚部が、千鳥状パターンで前記湾曲部から下向きに延在して、第1の面上に配列された第1組の脚部および前記第1の面とは異なる第2の面上に配列された第2組の脚部を形成し、
前記第1の面および前記第2の面は、互いに略平行であると共に互いに位置がずれており、かつ、
前記第1組の脚部および前記第2組の脚部が、それぞれ3つ以上のコンタクトからの脚部(176)を備える、
ことを特徴とする電気コネクタ(100)。 - 前記第1組の脚部に属する複数の前記脚部(176)が互いに位置決めされ、
さらに、前記第2組の脚部に属する複数の前記脚部(176)が互いに位置決めされる、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。 - 前記コンタクトサブアセンブリ(110)が、第3組の脚部として配列される脚部(176)を有する複数のコンタクト(118)を備え、
前記第3組の脚部が、前記第1組の脚部および前記第2組の脚部のそれぞれに対してオフセット配置される、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。 - 前記尾部(162)のそれぞれが、前記コンタクトの端部近傍にある前記脚部(176)に連結する先端区間(172)を有し、
前記第1組の脚部に属する前記脚部(176)に連結する前記先端区間(172)のそれぞれが互いに位置決めされ、
前記第2組の脚部に属する前記脚部(176)に連結する前記先端区間(172)のそれぞれが互いに位置決めされる、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。 - 前記第1組の脚部に属する前記脚部(176)に連結する前記ベース区間(170)のそれぞれが、前記第2組の脚部に属する前記脚部(176)に連結するそれぞれの前記ベース区間(170)よりも長く、前記第2組の脚部よりも前記第1組の脚部の方が前記ハウジング(102)の嵌合端部(104)に近接して配置される、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。
- 前記相手側コネクタが、前記第1組の脚部に属する前記脚部を有する複数の前記コンタクトの嵌合インターフェース(178)と一斉に係合し、その後、前記第2組の脚部に属する前記脚部を有する複数の前記コンタクトの嵌合インターフェース(178)と一斉に係合するように、前記第1組の脚部(176)が、前記第2組の脚部(176)に対して前記誘電性ハウジング(102)の嵌合端部(104)の方へオフセット配置される、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。
- 前記コンタクト(118)のそれぞれが、前記相手側コネクタの挿入方向と略平行なコンタクト軸(152)に沿って延在する、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。
- 複数の前記梁部(160)が互いに略平行となるように配列される、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。
- 複数の前記コンタクト(118)のうち少なくともいくつかは、その前記梁部(160)が交差区間(168)を有し、
前記交差区間(168)の上流にある前記尾部(162)の配列が前記交差区間(168)の下流にある前記梁部(160)の配列とは異なる、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。 - 前記脚部(176)が前記ベース区間(170)と非直交する、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。
- 前記脚部(176)が、前記コンタクトサブアセンブリ(110)の基部(130)に向かって鉛直方向下向きに傾斜している、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。
- 前記コンタクトサブアセンブリ(110)が、前記ハウジング(102)の前記キャビティ(108)に対して露出される露出面(136)を有する基部(130)をさらに備え、
前記尾部(162)のそれぞれが、前記コンタクトの端部近傍に位置する先端区間(172)を備え、前記先端区間(172)のそれぞれがある1つの面に沿って前記露出面(136)と係合する、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。 - 前記コンタクトサブアセンブリ(110)が、前記ハウジング(102)の前記キャビティ(108)に対して露出される露出面(136)を有する基部(130)をさらに備え、

前記第2組の脚部に属する前記脚部(176)に連結する複数の前記先端区間(172)が、第2の面に沿って前記露出面(136)と係合する、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。 - 前記コンタクトサブアセンブリ(110)が、前記ハウジング(102)の前記キャビティ(108)に対して露出される露出面(136)を有する基部(130)をさらに備え、
前記基部(130)が、前記露出面(136)から延在する複数のチャネル(140)を有し、
複数の前記尾部(162)が、それぞれの前記チャネル内に収容され、かつ前記チャネル内を摺動可能である、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。 - 複数の前記コンタクト(118)が差分信号を伝達し、
前記差分信号のうちの1つを伝達する第1の前記コンタクト(118)が、前記第1組の脚部に属する前記脚部(176)を有し、
同じ差分信号を伝達する第2の前記コンタクト(118)が、前記第2組の脚部に属する前記脚部(176)を有する、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ。
