Description
多成分繊維は、連続フィラメント、ステープル繊維、又は溶融吹込繊維(meltblown fiber)でありうる。好ましい実施形態では、繊維は、鞘−コア構造ドメインに配列されたポリマー成分を用いた二成分繊維である。本発明のこの態様で、コアは、繊維に、そして順次、それを用いて製造された布に、所望の特性を付与するポリマーブレンドから形成される。
この実施例は、コアが、少なくとも2つの異なるポリオレフィンポリマーの多ポリマーブレンドから形成され、ポリマーが、高融点主要連続相として存在し、そして少なくとも1つの低融点不連続相がそこに分散されることを特徴とする本発明の連続二成分繊維を用いて製造された布の製造及び利益を示す。高融点連続相は、プロピレンポリマーを含み、そして低融点不連続相は、ポリエチレンポリマーを含む。
この実施例は、コアが、微量相として特定グレードのポリプロピレン又はコポリエチレンと混合した主要相として特定グレードのポリエチレンのブレンドから形成されることを特徴とする本発明の連続二成分繊維を用いて製造された布の製造及び利益を示す。さらに、繊維コアは、少なくとも2つの異なるポリオレフィン・ポリマーの多ポリマーから形成され、そしてポリマーは、高融点主要連続相、そしてそこに分散される少なくとも1つの低融点不連続相として存在する。高融点連続相は、プロピレンポリマーを含み、そして低融点不連続相は、ポリエチレンポリマーを含む。
本発明の布の繊維構造内に含まれるような不連続ポリマー相のドメイン・サイズ及び分布を測定する調査が行われた。その終了に向けて、スパンボンド法の不織布を、本出願の教示にしたがって製造した。特に、27の溶融指数を示す85重量パーセントの線状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)(ダウ6811A LLDPE)及びおよそ24の溶融フローを示す15重量パーセントのポリプロピレン(PP)ポリマー(アプリル3250YR1PP)を含むポリマーブレンドを、回転混合機で乾式混錬させた。その後、乾式混錬混合物を、スパンボンド法の不織紡績システムの押出機の供給ホッパーに導入した。連続フィラメントを、およそ600m/分のフィラメント速度で、スロット圧伸成形加工によって溶融紡績し、そして集合表面上に堆積させて、スパンボンド法の不織ウエブを形成し、そしてそのウエブを、12%結合領域を示すパターン化ロールを用いて、熱で結合させた。そのように製造されたサンプルは、実施例Aとして引用される。
Claims (13)
- 多成分繊維であって、該多成分繊維が断面を横切って実質的に均一に位置決めされた別個のゾーンに配列され、該ゾーンは該多成分繊維の長さ方向に沿って連続的に伸び、該ゾーンの少なくとも一つは少なくとも2つの異なるポリオレフィンポリマーを含むポリマーブレンドであり、該ポリマーブレンドが、高融点主要連続相及びそこに分散された少なくとも1つの低融点不連続相を有し、該高融点連続相が、プロピレンポリマーを含み、そして該少なくとも1つの低融点不連続相が、ポリエチレンポリマーを含み、該ポリオレフィンポリマーのポリマー鎖の少なくとも一部が、一方若しくは他方又は両方の主要かつ分散した前記ポリマー相と混和性を有し、
前記ポリマーブレンドが、65〜80%のアイソタクチック・ポリプロピレン、ポリマー鎖の少なくとも一部が、前記ポリマー相と混和性を有する15〜30%の前記ポリオレフィンポリマー、及び1〜5%のポリエチレンを含み、ポリマー鎖の少なくとも一部が、前記ポリマー相と混和性を有する前記ポリオレフィンポリマーが、ブロック又はグラフト共重合体である多成分繊維。 - 前記繊維が、鞘−コア断面の別個のゾーンを有する請求項1の多成分繊維。
- 前記繊維が、連続フィラメント、ステープル繊維及び溶融吹込繊維から構成される群から選択される請求項1の多成分繊維。
- 前記請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の多成分繊維を含む不織布。
- 前記布が、10サイクルより大きなテーバー表面磨耗値(ゴム輪)及び少なくとも70パーセントの機械方向又は機械横方向の少なくとも1つで、ピーク負荷での伸びを示す請求項4の布。
- 前記布が、少なくとも100パーセントのピーク負荷での伸びを示す請求項5の布。
- 前記繊維が、熱点結合によって別々の配置で互いに結合される請求項4の布。
- 少なくとも2つの層の複合不織布であって、複数の前記請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の多成分繊維を含む第一層を含む複合不織布。
- 前記凝集性不織ウエブの間に堆積した接着層をさらに含み、前記第二層が、前記第二層に凝集性不織ウエブを積層させて、複合布を形成する請求項8の複合不織布。
- 前記凝集性不織ウエブが、ランダムに配列された実質的に連続のフィラメントの、熱で結合したスパンボンド法の不織ウエブを含む請求項8の複合不織布。
- 前記凝集性不織ウエブが、ステープル繊維の熱で結合した梳きウエブを含む請求項8の複合不織布。
- 前記凝集性不織ウエブが、さらに、溶融吹込微小繊維を含む請求項8の複合不織布。
- 前記第二層が、連続フィラメントのスパンボンド法のウエブ、溶融吹込微小繊維のウエブ、弾性ウエブ、及びポリオレフィンフィルムから構成される群から選択されるウエブを含む請求項8の複合不織布。
