Description
先ず、本発明にかかる具体的回路構成を述べる前に、以下の図1を参照して、RFIDカードとRFIDリーダライタの両機能を兼ね備えた非接触通信回路の基本的な構造について説明する。
図2及び図3には、RFIDカードとRFIDリーダライタの両機能について十分な性能を確保可能とした本発明の第1の実施形態の非接触通信回路の構成例を示す。
図4〜図8には、RFIDカードとRFIDリーダライタの両機能について十分な性能を確保可能とした本発明の第2の実施形態の非接触通信回路の構成例を示す。
以下、第1,第2の実施形態の非接触通信回路にてRFIDカード機能とRFIDリーダライタ機能を実現する際の動作について説明する。
図9には、縦軸を通信特性、横軸を共振周波数とし、RFIDカード機能と非動作時のRFIDリーダライタ機能の許容周波数帯域のイメージを示している。この図9に示すように、RFIDカード機能時には、外部の各種RFIDリーダライタに対する性能を満足させるために、上記共振周波数を搬送波周波数である13.56MHzよりやや低めに設定する必要がある。図9中の矢印Ecにて示す範囲はRFIDカード機能において性能を満足できる範囲を示しており、矢印Er/wにて示す範囲はRFIDリーダライタ機能において性能を満足できる範囲を示している。なお、RFIDリーダライタ機能の共振周波数は非動作時の値とする。この図から判るように、各機能の性能を満足できる帯域は同じではなく、そのため両立を図ることは出来ない。
本発明は、上述した第1,第2の実施形態のように、RFIDカード機能の使用時とRFIDリーダライタ機能の使用時のように、使用機能モードに応じて共振周波数を切り換える用途の他にも、例えばRFIDリーダライタ機能時において、通信相手方のRFIDカード毎に共振周波数の切り換えを行うようにしても良い。すなわち、本発明の第3の実施形態では、通信相手方のRFIDカードの種類に応じて使用されるアプリケーション毎に共振周波数の切り換えを行うことも可能となっている。
図13には、本発明実施形態の非接触通信回路を搭載した携帯電話端末の概略的な内部構成を示す。
以上説明したように、本発明実施形態によれば、RFIDカード機能の使用時とRFIDリーダライタ機能の使用時、或いは、RFIDリーダライタ機能時におけるRFIDカードのアプリケーション毎に、共振周波数を最適な周波数に補正可能となされているため、RFIDカード機能とRFIDリーダライタ機能の両機能においてそれぞれ十分な性能を確保すること、或いは、RFIDリーダライタ機能時におけるRFIDカードのアプリケーション毎にそれぞれ十分な性能を確保可能となっている。特に本実施形態によれば、制御信号により共振周波数を切り換え可能となされており、システム的な対策で済むため、アンテナ形状やメカ構造、デザイン設計上の制約が少なく、高い設計自由度を実現可能となっている。
Claims (3)
- 非接触通信カード機能と非接触通信リーダライタ機能の両機能を備えた非接触通信回路であって、
一方の端部が上記非接触通信用アンテナの一方の端子に接続されたコンデンサを有し、非接触通信用アンテナとの間で並列共振回路を形成する容量部と、
上記コンデンサの他方の端部とグランドとの間に接続された第1の電界効果トランジスタと、上記非接触通信アンテナの他方の端子とグランドとの間に接続された第2の電界効果トランジスタと、上記第1,第2の電界効果トランジスタをオン/オフ制御する制御部とを有し、上記非接触通信カード機能時には上記制御部が上記第1,第2の電界効果トランジスタをオンに制御して上記容量部の容量を有効とし、上記非接触通信リーダライタ機能時には上記制御部が上記第1,第2の電界効果トランジスタをオフに制御して上記容量部の容量を低下させる容量切り替え部と、
を有する非接触通信回路。 - 少なくとも非接触通信リーダライタ機能を備えた非接触通信回路であって、
一方の端部が非接触通信用アンテナの一方の端子に接続されたコンデンサと、
上記コンデンサの他方の端部とグランドとの間に接続された第1の電界効果トランジスタと、
上記非接触通信アンテナの他方の端子とグランドとの間に接続された第2の電界効果トランジスタと、
アンチコリジョン対応の非接触通信カードとの間の通信時には上記第1,第2の電界効果トランジスタをオンにし、上記アンチコリジョン対応ではない非接触通信カードとの間の通信時には上記第1,第2の電界効果トランジスタをオフにする制御部とを有する非接触通信回路。 - 少なくとも非接触通信リーダライタ機能を備えた携帯端末であって、
一方の端部が非接触通信用アンテナの一方の端子に接続されたコンデンサと、
上記コンデンサの他方の端部とグランドとの間に接続された第1の電界効果トランジスタと、
上記非接触通信アンテナの他方の端子とグランドとの間に接続された第2の電界効果トランジスタと、
アンチコリジョン対応の非接触通信カードとの間の通信時には上記第1,第2の電界効果トランジスタをオンにし、上記アンチコリジョン対応ではない非接触通信カードとの間の通信時には上記第1,第2の電界効果トランジスタをオフにする制御部と、
を有する携帯端末。
