Description
Claims (15)
- 携帯通信装置において位置情報管理を実行する方法であって、
セルラー通信システムに登録されているときで、第1の無線ローカルエリアネットワーク(“WLAN”)システムと関連付けられた第1の“WLAN”アクセスポイントと通信するときに、第2の“WLAN”システムと関連付けられた第2の“WLAN”アクセスポイントを検出するのに応じて、携帯通信装置の地理的位置情報を特定し、
前記地理的位置情報を前記携帯通信装置において記憶し、
前記第2の“WLAN”システムで通信しているときに前記地理的位置情報を緊急応答機関“PSAP”に送信すること
を含む方法。 - 前記地理的位置情報を前記第2の“WLAN”システムを介して前記緊急応答機関“PSAP”に送信することをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記送信することは、前記地理的位置情報を位置特定エンティティを介して前記緊急応答機関“PSAP”に送信することを含む請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記地理的位置情報を前記セルラー通信システムを介して緊急応答機関“PSAP”に送信することをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記送信することは、前記地理的位置情報を位置特定エンティティを介して前記緊急応答機関“PSAP”に送信することを含む請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記特定することは、前記セルラー通信システムを介して通信しているときに前記第2のWLANシステムを検出することを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記特定することは、グローバル・ポジショニング・サテライト“GPS”システムから受信した位置データに基づいて前記地理的位置情報を特定することをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記特定することは、前記セルラー通信システムから受信した位置データから前記地理的位置情報を特定することを含む請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記記憶することは、複数のWLANカバレッジ・エリアと関連付けられた複数の位置に対応する地理的位置情報を記憶することを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 携帯通信装置であって、
信号を受信し、セルラー通信システムと信号をやり取りする送受信部と、
前記携帯通信装置がセルラー通信システムに登録されているときで、第1の無線ローカルエリアネットワーク(“WLAN”)システムと関連付けられた第1の“WLAN”アクセスポイントと通信するときに、第2の“WLAN”システムと関連付けられた第2の“WLAN”アクセスポイントを検出するのに応じて、地理的位置情報を特定する制御部と、
前記地理的位置情報を前記携帯通信装置において記憶するメモリとを備え、
前記送受信部は、前記第2の“WLAN”システムで通信しているときに前記地理的位置情報を緊急応答機関“PSAP”に送信するよう構成される携帯通信装置。 - 前記制御部は、さらに、前記携帯通信装置が前記セルラー通信システムを介して通信しているときに前記第2の“WLAN”システムを検出する請求項10に記載の携帯通信装置。
- 前記送受信部は、さらに、前記第2の“WLAN”システムを介して前記緊急応答機関“PSAP”に前記地理的位置情報を送信する請求項10に記載の携帯通信装置。
- 前記送受信部は、さらに、前記セルラー通信システムを介して前記地理的位置情報を送信する請求項10に記載の携帯通信装置。
- 前記制御部は、さらに、グローバル・ポジショニング・サテライト“GPS”システムから受信した位置データに基づいて前記地理的位置情報を特定する請求項11に記載の携帯通信装置。
- デュアルモードの携帯通信装置であって、
セルラー通信システムに登録されているときで、第1の“WLAN”システム内で通信しているときに、第2の“WLAN”システムを検出する検出手段と、
前記検出することに応じて、前記携帯通信装置が受信した位置データに基づいて地理的位置情報を特定する位置特定手段と、
前記地理的位置情報を記憶する記憶手段と、
前記携帯通信装置から緊急通報がなされた後で、前記第2の“WLAN”システムで通信しつつ前記地理的位置情報を緊急応答機関“PSAP”に送信する送信手段と
を備える携帯通信装置。
