Claims (12)
- 情報記録媒体において、
前記媒体には、前記媒体に記録されたデータをアップデートするための論理的オーバーライトによる代替のための領域と、前記媒体に発生した欠陥の代替のための領域とが設けられ、
前記媒体の所定領域に記録されたオリジナルブロックの少なくとも一部データに対する論理的オーバーライトのための読み取り−変更−書き込み動作で、前記オリジナルブロックに対して欠陥が発生した場合、前記オリジナルブロックを代替する代替ブロックは前記論理的オーバーライトによる代替のための領域に記録され、
前記代替状態を表すための代替エントリーは、前記オリジナルブロックの位置情報と前記代替ブロックの位置情報とを含み、
前記代替ブロックは、記録または再生単位ブロックであり、ユーザデータを含んでいるデータ部分と前記オリジナルブロックの位置情報を含んでいる付加情報部分とを含む
ことを特徴とする情報記録媒体。 - 前記データ部分は、オーバーライトされた有効なデータ部分とパッディングデータが記録された有効でないデータ部分とを含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の情報記録媒体。
- 前記付加情報部分は、前記データ部分に前記有効なデータ部分と前記有効でないデータ部分とが含まれていることを表す状態情報をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の情報記録媒体。
- 前記状態情報は、セクター単位でデータが有効か否かを表すことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の情報記録媒体。
- 前記付加情報部分は、前記データ部分より優れたエラー訂正能力でもって記録されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の情報記録媒体。
- 前記オリジナルブロックの位置情報と前記代替ブロックの位置情報とは、前記媒体の物理的空間上のアドレスで表されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の情報記録媒体。
- 記録/再生装置において、
情報記録媒体に/からデータを記録/再生する記録/再生部と、
前記媒体に記録されたデータをアップデートするための代替データを、論理的オーバーライトによる代替のための領域に記録し、前記媒体に発生した欠陥を代替するための代替データを欠陥による代替のための領域に記録し、前記媒体の所定領域に記録されたオリジナルブロックの少なくとも一部データに対する論理的オーバーライトのための読み取り−変更−書き込み動作で、前記オリジナルブロックに対して欠陥が発生した場合、前記オリジナルブロックを代替する代替ブロックを前記論理的オーバーライトによる代替のための領域に記録するように前記記録/再生部を制御し、
前記代替状態を表すための代替エントリーは、前記オリジナルブロックの位置情報と前記代替ブロックの位置情報とを含んでいる代替エントリーを生成する制御部と、を備え、
前記制御部は、
前記代替ブロックを、ユーザデータを含んでいるデータ部分と前記オリジナルブロックの位置情報を含んでいる付加情報部分とで構成する
ことを特徴とする記録/再生装置。 - 前記データ部分は、オーバーライトされた有効なデータ部分とパッディングデータが記録された有効でないデータ部分とを含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の記録/再生装置。
- 前記付加情報部分は、前記データ部分に前記有効なデータ部分と前記有効でないデータ部分とが含まれていることを表す状態情報をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の記録/再生装置。
- 前記状態情報は、セクター単位でデータが有効か否かを表すことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の記録/再生装置。
- 前記制御部は、
前記付加情報部分が前記データ部分より優れたエラー訂正能力でもって記録されるように処理することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の記録/再生装置。 - 前記制御部は、
前記オリジナルブロックの位置情報と前記代替ブロックの位置情報とを、前記媒体の物理的空間上のアドレスで表すことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の記録/再生装置。
