Claims (2)
- 軸本体部、その一端に同軸的に形成されたブーツ取付部及びこのブーツ取付部に続けて同軸的に形成された延長部を備えてなる軸部と、前記延長部の先端部に内側部材を介して取り付けられる等速ジョイントよりなり、前記軸部は熱処理により形成された硬化層を有し、前記延長部の中間部は円柱状でその外径は前記ブーツ取付部及び先端部より小径とし、前記等速ジョイントの内部を外部よりシールするブーツの一端部を前記ブーツ取付部に気密に取り付け、前記等速ジョイントの外側部材の内面の開口側には、前記延長部と外側部材の間の軸交角が最大となった状態において前記中間部との間にわずかな隙間が残る外向きに広がる逃げ面を形成してなるドライブシャフトにおいて、前記中間部の前記ブーツ取付部側となる一端縁は前記軸交角が最大となった状態において前記逃げ面の外端縁と対応する位置またはその付近でそれよりも前記ブーツ取付部側となる位置とし、前記一端縁とブーツ取付部とはテーパ部により連結し、前記テーパ部の軸方向長さは前記中間部の軸方向長さより長くしたことを特徴とするドライブシャフト。
- 請求項1に記載のドライブシャフトにおいて、前記中間部の前記先端部側となる他端縁は前記軸交角が最大となった状態において前記逃げ面の内端縁と対応する位置またはその付近でそれよりも前記先端部側となる位置とし、前記他端縁と先端部とは先端側テーパ部により連結したことを特徴とするドライブシャフト。
