Claims (4)
- 電圧振幅が一定である2値のデジタル駆動波形が印加されて駆動される圧電素子に噴射パルスを印加することにより収容室に収容された液体に振動波を与えて吐出口から液滴を吐出させて画像の記録を行う液滴吐出記録ヘッドの駆動方法であって、
記録する画素の濃度データに応じて各画素を低濃度部、中濃度部、高濃度部の何れかの濃度範囲に分類し、
前記高濃度部の画素を記録する場合、パルス幅が液体の流路における液流の固有振動周期の1/2倍である噴射パルスを、記録する画素の濃度データに応じて予め設定されたインタバルで1印字周期内に複数印加し、
前記中濃度部の画素を記録する場合、前記1印字周期内に、単一の前記噴射パルスを印加し、
前記低濃度部の画素を記録する場合、前記1印字周期内に、前記噴射パルスと前記噴射パルスよりもパルス幅の小さい非噴射パルスとを所定のインタバルをあけて順次印加する
液滴吐出記録ヘッドの駆動方法。 - 前記インタバルを、前記固有振動周期の1/2倍から1倍までの範囲で設定することを特徴とする
請求項1記載の液滴吐出記録ヘッドの駆動方法。 - 前記所定のインタバルを、予め複数設定しておき、記録する画素の濃度データに応じて選択する
請求項1又は請求項2記載の液滴吐出記録ヘッドの駆動方法。 - 電圧振幅が一定である2値のデジタル駆動波形が印加されて駆動される圧電素子を用いて、液体が収容された収容室の容積を変化させて吐出口から液滴を吐出することにより画像の記録を行う液滴吐出記録ヘッドと、
記録する画素の濃度データに応じて各画素を低濃度部、中濃度部、高濃度部の3つの濃度範囲の何れかに分類する分類手段と、
前記高濃度部の画素を記録する場合、パルス幅が液体の流路における液流の固有振動周期の1/2倍である噴射パルスを、記録する画素の濃度データに応じて予め設定されたインタバルで1印字周期内に複数印加し、前記中濃度部の画素を記録する場合、前記1印字周期内に、単一の前記噴射パルスを印加し、前記低濃度部の画素を記録する場合、前記1印字周期内に、前記噴射パルスと前記噴射パルスよりもパルス幅の小さい非噴射パルスとを所定のインタバルをあけて順次印加する駆動手段と、
を備えた液滴吐出記録装置。
