Description
Claims (1)
- 撮影レンズのピント調整を自動で行うオートフォーカス用としての被写体画像を撮像するAF用撮像手段の撮像面であって、光路長が異なる位置に配置された複数の撮像面と、前記撮影レンズに入射した被写体光を前記複数の撮像面に導く光路の一部であって、前記各撮像面に入射する全ての被写体光が通過する共通光路と、前記共通光路によって導かれた被写体光を前記複数の撮像面の各々に入射する被写体光として分割する光分割手段と、前記複数の撮像面により得られた被写体画像のコントラストに基づいて前記撮影レンズのフォーカスを制御して被写体に合焦させるフォーカス制御手段と、を備えたオートフォーカスシステムにおいて、
前記共通光路の所定位置に配置されると共に、該所定位置に導かれた被写体光が偏光している場合に該被写体光を直線偏光又は部分偏光ではない光に変換して前記光分割手段に入射させる変換手段を備え、
前記変換手段は、前記光分割手段の直前に配置された1/4波長板であり、該1/4波長板のfast軸及びslow軸が、前記共通光路の光軸に直交するとともに前記光分割手段のハーフミラー面に平行な方向、及びこの方向と前記光軸の方向の両方に直交する方向、に対していずれかの回転方向に45度又は135度の角度をなすように配置され、
前記複数の撮像面の各々に入射する被写体光の光量が等価となるようにしたことを特徴とするオートフォーカスシステム。
