Description
元剤を供給することで該吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に流入する排気の空燃比をストイキ空燃比もしくは該ストイキ空燃比よりリッチ側の所定リッチ空燃比とする通常NOx浄化手段と、前記劣化判定手段によって前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒の劣化程度が前記所定劣化程度を超えると判定されるとき、前記還元剤供給手段によって排気に還元剤を供給することで該吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に流入する排気の空燃比をストイキ空燃比よりリーン側の所定リーン空燃比とする劣化時NOx浄化手段と、を備えることを特徴とする。
x浄化手段によって、NOx触媒の劣化程度に応じた量の還元剤の供給が行われるため、還元剤の無駄な消費を回避することが可能となる。
は、ステップモータ等で構成されて該吸気絞り弁10を開閉駆動する吸気絞り用アクチュエータ11が取り付けられている。
としての機能を十分に発揮することが困難となる場合がある。例えば、NOx触媒14の劣化の例として、排気中のSOxが吸蔵剤に吸蔵されることで、NOxを吸蔵する能力が低下した場合が挙げられる。

Claims (4)
- 内燃機関の排気通路に設けられ、白金および吸蔵剤を含む吸蔵還元型NOx触媒と、
前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に流入する排気に還元剤を供給する還元剤供給手段と、
前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒の劣化程度を判定する劣化判定手段と、
前記劣化判定手段によって前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒の劣化程度が所定劣化程度以下であると判定されるとき、前記還元剤供給手段によって排気に還元剤を供給することで該吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に流入する排気の空燃比をストイキ空燃比もしくは該ストイキ空燃比よりリッチ側の所定リッチ空燃比とする通常NOx浄化手段と、
前記劣化判定手段によって前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒の劣化程度が前記所定劣化程度を超えると判定されるとき、一時的に前記通常NOx浄化手段によるNOx浄化を中断し前記還元剤供給手段によって排気に還元剤を供給することで該吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に流入する排気の空燃比をストイキ空燃比よりリーン側の所定リーン空燃比とする劣化時NOx浄化手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化システム。 - 前記劣化判定手段は、SOx被毒による前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒の劣化程度を判定することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化システム。
- 前記劣化時NOx浄化手段は、前記劣化判定手段によって前記吸蔵還元型NOx触媒の劣化程度が前記所定劣化程度を超えると判定されるときであって、且つ該吸蔵還元型NOx触媒の温度が所定範囲内の温度であるときに、前記還元剤供給手段によって排気に還元剤を供給することで該吸蔵還元型NOx触媒に流入する排気の空燃比を前記所定リーン空燃比とすることを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化システム。
- 前記所定範囲内の温度は、摂氏150度から300度内の温度であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化システム。
