Claims (6)
- 第1の電極タブが取り付けられた第1の電極板と、第2の電極タブが取り付けられた第2の電極板と、前記第1の電極板と第2の電極板との間に介在されたセパレータとを巻き取って形成された巻取型の電極組立体と;
前記電極組立体を収容する空間が形成されている筐体と;
前記筐体の上部に結合され、それを封止するキャップ組立体と;
を含み、
前記第1の電極タブ及び第2の電極タブは、その横断面の形状が共に所定の曲率半径を有し、
前記第1の電極タブと前記第2の電極タブのうち、前記電極組立体の巻取先端部に取り付けられた電極タブは、電極板との取付面側が凹状に湾曲し、前記電極組立体の巻取末端部に取り付けられた電極タブは、電極板との取付面側が凸状に湾曲しており、
前記巻取先端部の電極タブの曲率半径は、前記巻取末端部の電極タブの曲率半径よりも大きく、
前記電極組立体の巻回中心を通る半径方向の分割線を挟んだ一方側に前記巻取先端部の電極タブと、他方側に前記巻取末端部の電極タブが位置していること、
を特徴とする円筒状のリチウム二次電池。 - 前記第1の電極タブ及び第2の電極タブのうち、巻取先端部の電極タブの曲率半径は、0.5mmから2.5mmであること、
を特徴とする請求項1に記載の円筒状のリチウム二次電池。 - 前記第1の電極タブ及び第2の電極タブのうち、巻取末端部の電極タブの曲率半径は、8.0mmから20.0mmであること、
を特徴とする請求項1に記載の円筒状のリチウム二次電池。 - 前記第1の電極タブ及び第2の電極タブは、各々の断面の厚みが同一に形成されていること、
を特徴とする請求項1ないし3の何れか一項に記載の円筒状のリチウム二次電池。 - 第1の電極タブが取り付けられた第1の電極板と、第2の電極タブが取り付けられた第2の電極板と、前記第1の電極板と第2の電極板との間に介在されるセパレータとを巻き取って巻取型の電極組立体を形成するステップと;
前記巻取型の電極組立体を円筒状の筐体に挿入するステップと;
前記筐体の上部にキャップ組立体を結合して、その上部を封止するステップと;
を含み、
前記第1の電極タブ及び第2の電極タブは、その横断面の形状が共に所定の曲率半径を有し、
前記第1の電極タブと前記第2の電極タブのうち、前記電極組立体の巻取先端部に取り付けられる電極タブは、電極板との取付面側が凹状に湾曲し、前記電極組立体の巻取末端部に取り付けられた電極タブが、電極板との取付面側が凸状に湾曲しており、
前記巻取先端部の電極タブの曲率半径は、前記巻取末端部の電極タブの曲率半径よりも大きく、
前記電極組立体の巻回中心を通る半径方向の分割線を挟んだ一方側に前記巻取末端部の電極タブと、他方側に前記巻取先端部の電極タブが位置するように、前記巻取型の電極組立体を形成すること、
を特徴とする円筒状のリチウム二次電池の製造方法。 - 前記巻取型の電極組立体を形成するステップは、
平板状の電極タブを電極板に取り付けるステップと;
前記電極タブを、棒状のバーを用いて鍛造加工または圧延加工を行い、所定の曲率半径を有するように形成するステップとを含むこと、
を特徴とする請求項5に記載の円筒状のリチウム二次電池の製造方法。
