Description
まず、図1及び図2を参照して歩行者衝突検出装置の構成について説明する。ここで、図1は、第1参考形態における歩行者衝突検出装置の構成図である。図2は、バンパーリインホースメント、チャンバ部材及びバンパーアブソーバの断面図である。なお、図中における前後方向及び上下方向は、車両の前後方向及び上下方向を示すものである。
次に、第2参考形態の歩行者衝突検出装置について説明する。第2参考形態の歩行者衝突検出装置は、第1参考形態の歩行者衝突検出装置に対して、チャンバ部材の構成を変更したものである。
次に、本実施形態の歩行者衝突検出装置について説明する。本実施形態の歩行者衝突検出装置は、第1参考形態の歩行者衝突検出装置に対して、チャンバ部材の前面に突起部を形成し、隙間を安定的に確保するようにしたものである。
それぞれ設定されている。隙間330が大きいと、チャンバ300内の圧力の検出精度が低下する可能性がある。そのため、隙間330を10mm以下にすることで、バンパーアブソーバ33によるチャンバ部材30の挟み込みを防止するとともに、圧力の検出精度の低下をも抑えることができる。
次に、第3参考形態の歩行者衝突検出装置について説明する。第3参考形態の歩行者衝突検出装置は、第1参考形態の歩行者衝突検出装置に対して、チャンバ部材とバンパーアブソーバとの間に緩衝部材を配置し、隙間を安定的に確保するようにしたものである。
Claims (3)
- 空間を形成するチャンバ部材と、前記空間内の圧力を検出する圧力センサと、前記チャンバ部材の外周を覆うように配設され、車両への物体の衝突に伴って発生する衝撃を吸収するバンパーアブソーバとを備え、前記圧力センサの検出結果に基づいて車両への物体の衝突を検出する衝突検出装置において、
前記バンパーアブソーバと対向する前記チャンバ部材の表面及び前記チャンバ部材と対向する前記バンパーアブソーバの表面の少なくともいずれかに形成された突起部が、対向する前記バンパーアブソーバの表面又は前記チャンバ部材の表面に当接することによって、前記チャンバ部材と前記バンパーアブソーバとの間であって、前記チャンバ部材の前面側、上面側及び下面側の少なくともいずれかに、10mm以下の所定の隙間が設けられていることを特徴とする衝突検出装置。 - 前記隙間は、車幅方向の全領域に渡って設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の衝突検出装置。
- 前記圧力センサの検出結果に基づいて衝突した対象物が歩行者であるか否かを判定する判定手段を有することを特徴とする請求項1又は2のいずれかに記載の衝突検出装置。
