Claims (2)
- 車体に取り付ける車体取付フランジを有し、内周に複列の軌道面が形成された外方部材と、車輪を取り付ける車輪取付フランジを有し、前記外方部材の軌道面と対向する軌道面が外周に形成された内方部材と、前記外方部材と内方部材のそれぞれの軌道面間に介装された複列の転動体とを備え、前記外方部材の軌道面を高周波焼入れにより硬化させて前記軌道面に硬化層を形成した車輪軸受装置において、前記外方部材のインボード側の軌道面溝底部から外径部までの肉厚を3mm以上4mm以下とし、前記軌道面溝底部における有効硬化層深さと前記肉厚の比を0.49以上0.66以下としたことを特徴とする車輪軸受装置。
- 車体に取り付ける車体取付フランジを有し、内周に複列の軌道面が形成された外方部材と、車輪を取り付ける車輪取付フランジを有し、前記外方部材の軌道面と対向する軌道面が外周に形成された内方部材と、前記外方部材と内方部材のそれぞれの軌道面間に介装された複列の転動体とを備え、前記外方部材の軌道面を高周波焼入れにより硬化させた車輪軸受装置の製造方法において、インボード側の前記軌道面の溝底部が厚肉状態にある外方部材を高周波焼入れする工程と、外方部材の外径部を機械加工して前記軌道面溝底部から外径部までの肉厚を3mm以上4mm以下とした最終形状に仕上げる工程と、その後に軌道面を研磨加工する工程とを有することを特徴とする車輪軸受装置の製造方法。
