条件(1)は、線状光源16の中心22と拡散板14の隣接する線状光源16の直上箇所26とを結ぶ線28と、隣接する線状光源16間の中央線30とが交わる位置から線状光源16の半径分の距離だけ低い位置32以上の位置に、平板型仕切り板50の頂部52が存在することを意味する。条件(2)は、線状光源16からの光の山型仕切り板18の裾部24における反射光(鏡面反射成分)34が、線状光源16の中心22より外側へ反射投影されないことを意味する。
実施例として、図1に示す構造を有する面光源装置を作製した。比較例1として、平板型仕切り板を設けず、かつ、山型仕切り板の高さを高くしたこと以外は、実施例と同様の面光源装置を作製した。比較例2として、平板型仕切り板を設けないこと以外は、実施例と同様の面光源装置を作製した。比較例3として、山型仕切り板および平板型仕切り板を設けないこと以外は、実施例と同様の面光源装置を作製した。

Claims (3)
- 互いに平行に配設された反射板と拡散板との間に複数の線状光源が並列配置され、かつ、隣接する線状光源同士の間に前記反射板から山型に突出する反射性の山型仕切り板が設けられた面光源装置において、前記反射性の山型仕切り板の頂部に、該頂部から上方に突出する反射性の平板型仕切り板が連設されているとともに、前記反射板から前記平板型仕切り板の頂部までの垂直距離をT、前記反射板から前記線状光源の中心までの垂直距離をQ、前記反射板から前記拡散板までの垂直距離をH、前記線状光源の中心から前記山型仕切り板の裾部までの水平距離をL、前記線状光源の直径をD、前記山型仕切り板の裾野角をθとするとき、下記条件(1)および(2)を満たすことを特徴とする面光源装置。
(1)T≧(H+Q)/2−D/2
(2)θ<90°−arctan(Q/L) - 前記反射板、前記山型仕切り板および前記平板型仕切り板は、拡散反射率が95%以上の発泡シートからなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の面光源装置。
- 前記発泡シートは、内部に平均気泡径が光の波長以上で50μm以下の微細な気泡または気孔を有する熱可塑性樹脂からなることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の面光源装置。
