【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、寝たきり男性、失禁者等が、使いすて紙おむつと併用または下着を介して着用される男性用吸収パッドに関する。さらに詳しくは、本発明は、漏れ防止効果が高く、着用が簡単な男性用吸収パッドに関する。

【従来の技術】
従来の男性用吸収パッドは、液透過性のトップシートと、そのトップシートと同一形状の液不透過性のバックシートと、これら両シート間に配置された吸収体とを備えてなる矩形のものである。そして、男性用吸収パッドを使用するときは、矩形の男性用吸収パッドの一隅を中心として略円錐形に丸めながら、陰茎にその男性用吸収パッドを巻き付けるようにして装着した後、男性用吸収パッドの外周をテープなどで固定して使用していた。

しかし、この種の男性用吸収パッドは、男性用吸収パッドを陰茎に巻き付けるように直接装着して使用するため、着用者が違和感や締めつけ感を生じ、使用しにくいという問題があった。一方、着用者が違和感や締めつけ感を生じないように弱く巻きつけると、男性用吸収パッドが陰茎から外れやすくなり、尿漏れが生じるという問題があった。

そこで、図９（Ａ），（Ｂ）に示すような男性用吸収パッドが開示されている（例えば、特許文献１）。すなわち、液透過性のトップシート１１と、液不透過性のバックシート１２と、これら両シート間に配置された吸収体１３と、前記トップシート１１の上方に液不透過性のギャザーシート１４とを備える。ギャザーシート１４は開口１５を有し、その開口１５の周囲に弾性部材１６を配置してなる。

そして男性用吸収パッドの開口１５より男性性器を挿入して保持し、排泄物をトップシート１を介して吸収体１３で吸収する。これによって、男性用吸収パッドを陰茎に直接巻き付けて装着することがなくなり、着用者に違和感が生じることが軽減される。

一方、液透過性のトップシートと液不透過性のバックシートと、これら両シート間に配置された吸収体を備えた別の男性用吸収パッドは、矩形の吸収パッドを長手方向に３つ折にし、長手方向と直角方向で一端部から約１／３の位置を折り返して固定したサック状の男性用吸収パッドが提案されている（例えば、特許文献２）。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、前者のような男性用吸収パッドでは、着用者が仰向けになって寝たとき、尿が吸収体１３に完全に吸収されずに着用者の腹側にあるギャザーシート１４に達する。しかし、ギャザーシート１４は液不透過性であるため、尿は吸収されずにギャザーシート１４の表面を流れて開口１５に達し、そこから外部へ漏れ出して着用者の着衣、またはこの男性用吸収パッドと併用する紙おむつを汚してしまうという問題があった。
また、後者のような男性用吸収パッドでは、男性性器を固定する構造がないので、外れてしまい、尿漏れの原因となるという問題があった。
そこで、この発明の目的は、漏れない男性用吸収パッドを提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
このため、請求項１に記載の発明は、液透過性のトップシートと、バックシートと、これら両シート間に配置された吸収体と、少なくとも一部が前記トップシート上に位置する液不透過性の第１ギャザーシートと、少なくとも一部が前記トップシート上に位置する第２ギャザーシートとを備え、前記第１ギャザーシートと前記第２ギャザーシートとで男性性器を挿入するための開口を形成した男性用吸収パッドにおいて、
該男性用吸収パッドは前記トップシートを内側として折り返して排尿ポケットが形成され、該排尿ポケットに溜まった尿の漏れを防止するための液不透過性の補助ギャザーシートを折り返し側の前記トップシート上に備え、
前記開口は、折り返されていない側のトップシートうち、前記折り返し部分で覆われていない領域上に位置し、
該男性用吸収パッドに男性性器を挿入した場合には、前記補助ギャザーシートが前記第２ギャザーシートの外側に位置して男性性器を保持しうるようにした、ことを特徴とする。

請求項１に記載の発明によれば、ギャザーシートで形成した開口から男性性器を挿入して固定した男性用吸収パッドにおいて、男性性器から一気に排出された尿は、排尿ポケット内の吸収体に円滑に吸収することができる。また、折り返した側の吸収体端部から延設した液不透過性の補助ギャザーシートによって、排尿ポケット内から尿が溢れ出すのを防止できる。したがって、漏れない男性用吸収パッドを提供することができる。

請求項２に記載の発明は、請求項１に記載の男性用吸収パッドにおいて、前記第２ギャザーシートが液透過性であることを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、図面を参照しつつ、この発明の実施の形態につき説明する。
図１は、この発明の一例としての男性用吸収パッドの平面図、図２は、そのＸ−Ｙ線断面図である。男性用吸収パッドＰは、矩形の液透過性のトップシート１と、トップシート１と同一形状の液不透過性のバックシート２と、これら両シート間に吸収体３を配置し、トップシート１とバックシート２の四辺をホットメルト接着剤などにより接着し、接合部Ａ１〜Ａ４とする。液不透過性の第１ギャザーシート４の一端を接合部Ａ１にて、液不透過性の第２ギャザーシート５の一端を接合部Ａ２にて接合する。

また、第１ギャザーシート４と第２ギャザーシート５とが相対向することによって男性性器を挿入するための開口６を形成する。なお、この開口６は、男性用吸収パッドＰの第１ギャザーシート４側に偏在して形成される。この吸収パッドを第１ギャザーシート４、第２ギャザーシート５の先端方向に沿って、トップシート１を内側として、折り返し線Ｆにて折り返して接合部Ａ３，Ａ４を固定すると排尿ポケット７が形成される。排尿ポケット７内の折り返し部分にてトップシート１と第２ギャザーシート５との間に隙間を設けて通液部８を形成する。第１ギャザーシート４と第２ギャザーシート５の先端には、それぞれ糸ゴムの弾性部材９Ａ，９Ｂが１本ずつ、長手方向Ｌに沿って伸張状態で接合されている。

ところで、この例では液状の排泄物を外部に漏らさないようにトップシート１の上に第１ギャザーシート４と第２ギャザーシート５とを備え、第１ギャザーシート４の弾性部材９Ａを備えていない側の端部を接合部Ａ１にて接合し、第２ギャザーシート５の弾性部材９Ｂを備えていない側の端部を接合部Ａ２にて接合する。

なお、この例では、第１ギャザーシート４の先端と第２ギャザーシート５の先端とが重なり合うように構成している。開口６は、男性性器を挿入するためのものである。この例では開口６は、男性用吸収パッドＰに対して、第１ギャザーシート４側に偏在して形成されている。

また、この例では、第１ギャザーシート４の弾性部材９Ａを備えていない側の端部を接合部Ａ１にてトップシート１と接合し、第２ギャザーシート５の弾性部材９Ｂを備えていない側の端部を接合部Ａ２にてバックシート２と接合したが、第１ギャザーシート４および第２ギャザーシート５の接合部分はこれに限定されるものではない。

ところで、第１ギャザーシート４の先端と第２ギャザーシート５の先端に備える弾性部材９Ａ，９Ｂは、１本でも複数本でもよいが、複数本備えると、より一層、男性性器を押さえ込むことができ、男性性器と男性用吸収パッドＰとの隙間をなくすことができ、より一層漏れない男性用吸収パッドを提供することができる。

本発明において使用されるトップシート１は、液透過性の不織布、織布、多孔性プラスチックフィルム等であり、その構成繊維は、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン、ポリエステル、ナイロン等の単繊維、またはポリエステル、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン、ナイロン等の２成分以上からなる複合繊維等であり、特には、ポリエステル／ポリエステル、ポリエステル／ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン／ポリエチレンの複合繊維が強度の面から好ましいが、特に制限をうけるものではない。

本発明において使用されるバックシート２は、ポリエチレン等の液不透過性フィルム、液体不透過性フィルムと不織布あるいは織布を貼り合わせた素材等である。より好ましくは、ムレを防止するために、液体を透過させない程度の多数の微孔を設けたポリエチレン製フィルムや、熱可塑性樹脂にフィラーを加えて延伸した透湿性のあるフィルム、あるいはこれらのフィルムの外側に不織布、織布を貼り合わせた複合シートを用いると、吸収パッド内の余分な水分が気体の状態で吸収パッド外に放出されるため、ムレやカブレが起こりにくくなり、透湿性や肌触り等を快適なものとすることができる。

本発明において使用される吸収体３は、綿状パルプ、高吸収性ポリマー（以後省略してＳＡＰという）、親水性シート等からなり、特に制限を受けるものではない。また、本発明において使用される吸収体は、従来の男性用吸収パッドその他の吸収性物品において通常使用される公知の吸収性材料から作られている。

すなわち、綿状パルプ、レーヨン等の吸収性繊維とＳＡＰを混合した単層もしくは多層のマット、あるいは、吸収性繊維からなるマットの層間にＳＡＰを均一に配置したもの等を親水性シートでくるんで形成したものを使用することができる。

綿状パルプとしては、化学パルプシートもしくは、機械パルプシートを粉砕機で解繊することにより得られるものが用いられる。パルプ原料としては、針葉樹に限らず、広葉樹、わら、竹およびケナフも適用される。また、古紙パルプを使用しても良い。この綿状パルプの使用量は、目的とする吸収体により、例えば、単独で用いるか、複数積層して用いるか、他の吸収材を併用するかなどにより異なるが、一般的には、５０〜４００ｇ／ｍ² にされる。

ＳＡＰとしては、デンプン系、セルロース系、合成ポリマー系が挙げられる。すなわち、デンプン−アクリル酸（塩）グラフト共重合体、デンプン−アクリル酸エチルグラフト共重合体のケン化物、デンプン−メタクル酸メチルグラフト共重合体のケン化物、デンプン−アクリロニトリルグラフト共重合体のケン化物、デンプン−アクリルアミドグラフト共重合体のケン化物、アクリル酸（塩）重合体、アクリル酸で架橋されたポリエチレンオキシド、ナトリウムカルボキシメチルセルローズの架橋物、ポリビニールアルコール−無水マレイン酸反応物の架橋物などが使用可能である。

吸収体３の圧縮方法としては、周面が平滑なロールなどにより、吸収体の密度がその全体にわたり実質的に均等になるように連続する面状に圧縮してもよいし、周面が凹凸状であるロールなどにより、吸収体の密度が部分的に異なり、尿や体液を縦方向及び斜め方向に導く模様配列のエンボスとなるように圧縮してもよい。エンボスの場合、圧縮部、非圧縮部は、連続、非連続のいずれであってもよい。

本発明で使用される第１ギャザーシート４と第２ギャザーシート５は、撥水加工した不織布または織布、ポリエチレン等の液体不透過性フィルム、ならびにその液体不透過性フィルムと不織布または織布を貼り合わせた素材等が使用できる。液体不透過性のフィルムを使用する場合、ムレを防止するために液体分子を透過させない程度の多数の微孔を設けたポリエチレン製フィルムや、熱可塑性樹脂にフィラーを加えて延伸した透湿性のあるフィルムが好ましい。

不織布、織布を使用する場合、その構成繊維は、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン、ポリエステル、ナイロン等の単繊維、または、ポリエステル、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン、ナイロン等の２成分以上からなる複合繊維等であり、特には、ポリエステル／ポリエステル、ポリエステル／ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン／ポリエチレンの複合繊維が強度の面から好ましいが、特に制限をうけるものではない。

弾性部材９Ａ，９Ｂは、天然、合成ゴム、ウレタンなどの糸状、ひも状、ネット状、平型形状の通常の男性用吸収パッド、通常の吸収性物品に使用されている伸縮弾性体を使用することができる。使用される弾性部材の本数は１本あるいは複数であっても構わない。伸縮弾性体は伸長状態で配置され、ホットメルト、澱粉系またはＣＭＣ（カルボキシメチルセルロース）などの水溶性の糊又は、流動性の高い接着剤、あるいは熱や超音波等による溶着により、撥水性素材に接着固定される。

なお、トップシート１、バックシート２、第１ギャザーシート４、第２ギャザーシート５は、接合部Ａ１〜Ａ４において、ホットメルト接着剤、澱粉系またはＣＭＣ（カルボキシメチルセルロース）などの水溶性の糊又は、流動性の高い接着剤、あるいは熱や超音波等による溶着により接合されてもよい。

このように構成された男性用吸収パッドＰを使用するときは、例えば、図３に示すように、着用者が立った状態で男性性器Ｂを下向きにして男性用吸収パッドＰの開口６より挿入して男性性器Ｂを第２ギャザーシート５が陰嚢と折り返していない側にあるトップシート１との間となるように収納して男性用吸収パッドＰに保持する。

このとき、弾性部材９Ａによって第１ギャザーシート４が陰茎の表面上部に、弾性部材９Ｂによって第２ギャザーシート５が陰嚢の裏面にフィットし、尿漏れを防ぐようになっている。

そして、排尿して一度に多量の尿が排出された場合、吸収体３の吸収速度を超える分については、排尿ポケット７に一時的に溜まる。ここで、第２ギャザーシート５は接合部Ａ２において、トップシート１と接合されているので、排尿ポケット７内に受け止められた尿はトップシート１と第２ギャザーシート５間に設けた通液部８を通って折り返した側の吸収体３に円滑に吸収することができる。また、折り返した側の吸収体３端部から延設した液不透過性の第２ギャザーシート５によって、排尿ポケット７内から尿が溢れ出すのを防止できる。

なお、男性性器Ｂを第２ギャザーシート５とトップシート１との間に挿入しているので、着用者が仰向けの状態で尿を排泄したときにも、通液部８に溜まった尿が順次吸収体３に吸収保持される。このとき、弾性部材９Ｂによって第２ギャザーシート５は裏側から陰嚢にフィットするので、外部に尿が漏れ出すことがない。

ところで、男性性器Ｂを上向きにして男性用吸収パッドＰの開口６から挿入して第２ギャザーシート５とトップシート１との間に男性性器Ｂを挿入するようにしてもよい。この場合には、男性用吸収パッドＰを図３とは、上下１８０°向きを変えて使用する。すなわち、着用者が仰向けの状態で男性性器Ｂを上向きにして男性用吸収パッドＰの開口６より挿入して男性性器Ｂを第２ギャザーシート５とトップシート１との間に挿入して保持する。すると、図３と同様にして、弾性部材９Ａを備えた第１ギャザーシート４と、弾性部材９Ｂを備えた第２ギャザーシート５が男性性器Ｂをしっかりと包み込む。

この場合も、男性性器Ｂを第２ギャザーシート５とトップシート１との間に挿入して保持するので、排尿の際、一時に多量の尿が排出されても、第１ギャザーシート４と第２ギャザーシート５によって外部に尿が漏れ出すことなく、吸収体３に吸収保持される。

なお、必要に応じて、展開型紙おむつの後身頃のトップシート上に着用者の臀部を載せた後、前身頃を折り畳んで、男性用吸収パッドＰを装着した着用者の腹部に当て、両面テープ、メカニカルファスナーなどの止着部材を展開型紙おむつの前身頃のバックシート上に固定して展開型紙おむつを装着してもよい。
この場合、男性用吸収パッドＰのバックシート２を液透過性として、展開型紙おむつの吸収体に尿を吸収させて使用時間を長くするようにしてもよい。

さらに展開型紙おむつに代えて、男性用吸収パッドＰをパンツ型紙おむつやパンツ型の下着などとともに使用してもよい。したがって、男性用吸収パッドＰのバックシート２には、粘着性の両面テープや、メカニカルファスナーのオス材が備えられていると着用者の動きによる男性用吸収パッドＰのズレを防止することができ好適である。

この例の男性用吸収パッドは、男性性器Ｂをフリーな状態にしたまま保持することができるので、着用者に与える違和感を軽減することができる。加えて、この発明の男性用吸収パッドＰは、弾性部材９Ａを備えた第１ギャザーシート４と弾性部材９Ｂを備えた第２ギャザーシート５によって男性性器Ｂをしっかり保持するので、男性用吸収パッドＰが着用者の動きに追随することができる。

さらに、この例において好適には、図１中、長さＬ方向の中央で２つ折りにして包装すると、開封して展開型紙おむつなどに取り付ける際に、中心を決定しやすいという利点があるとともに、吸収パッドの中央を男性性器Ｂに当てやすい。加えて、２つ折りにした吸収パッドの折跡による谷間を伝って液状の排泄物を吸収体３の中心に向かって誘導しやすくなる。

次に、この発明の男性用吸収パッドの別の例を図４を用いて説明する。なお、トップシート１、バックシート２、吸収体３、第１ギャザーシート４の形状、材質、構成は前述の例と同様であるので、説明を省略する。この例では、液不透過性の第２ギャザーシート５Ａがトップシート１に沿って、接合部Ａ２まで設けられていない。加えて、排尿ポケット７に溜まった尿の漏れを防止するための液不透過性の補助ギャザーシート１０を吸収パッドの折り返し側のトップシート１上で、かつ排尿ポケット７のポケット開口７Ａ付近に備える。

この補助ギャザーシート１０の先端には、糸ゴムなどの弾性部材９Ｃを備え、補助ギャザーシート１０の素材は、前述の例の第１ギャザーシート４、第２ギャザーシート５と同様である。この例の第２ギャザーシート５Ａは、両側を接合部Ａ３，Ａ４にて接合されることによって男性用吸収パッドＰ１に一体化している。そして、第１ギャザーシート４と第２ギャザーシート５とで男性性器Ｂを挿入するための開口６を形成する。トップシート１を内側として折り返し線Ｆにて折り返して、接合部Ａ３，Ａ４を接着すると排尿ポケット７が形成される。

このように構成された男性用吸収パッドＰ１を使用するときは、例えば、図５に示すように、着用者が立った状態で男性性器Ｂを下向きにして男性用吸収パッドＰ１の開口６より挿入して男性性器Ｂを第２ギャザーシート５Ａとトップシート１との間に挿入し、陰嚢の裏側に第２ギャザーシート５Ａをあてて男性用吸収パッドＰ１に保持する。

このとき、弾性部材９Ａによって第１ギャザーシート４が陰茎の表面上部に、第２ギャザーシート５Ａが陰嚢の裏面にフィットし、男性性器Ｂ全体が男性用吸収パッドＰにしっかりと保持される。さらに、弾性部材９Ｃによって補助ギャザーシート１０が陰嚢の裏面にフィットする。

そして、排尿して一度に多量の尿が排出された場合、男性性器から一気に排出された尿は、排尿ポケット内に受け止められトップシートと第２ギャザーシート間に設けた隙間を通って折り返した側の吸収体に円滑に吸収することができる。また、折り返した側の吸収体端部のトップシート１上から延設した液不透過性の補助ギャザーシートによって、排尿ポケット内から尿が溢れ出すのを防止できる。

次に、この発明の男性用吸収パッドのさらに別の例について図６を用いて説明する。なお、トップシート１、バックシート２、吸収体３、第１ギャザーシート４、補助ギャザーシート１０の形状、材質、構成は、前述の例と同様であるので説明を省略する。この例では、第２ギャザーシート５Ｂをトップシート１を延設することによって一体に備える。そして、この第２ギャザーシート５Ｂの先端には、弾性部材９Ｂを備え、第１ギャザーシート４と第２ギャザーシート５Ｂとで男性性器Ｂを挿入するための開口６を形成する。

この男性用吸収パッドＰ２はトップシート１を内側として折り返し線Ｆで折り返して接合部Ａ３，Ａ４を接着して、排尿ポケット７が形成される。そして、排尿ポケット７に溜まった尿の漏れを防止するための液不透過性の補助ギャザーシート１０を吸収パッドの折り返し側のトップシート１上で、かつ排尿ポケット７のポケット開口７Ａ付近に備える。
