Description
本発明の適用はエンジン形式を限定するものではなく、V型8気筒以外の形式のエンジンについても、以下に説明する可変バルブタイミング装置を適用可能である。
したがって、相対回転数設定部6030は、制御周期ΔTにて要求されるカムシャフト位相変化量Δθを生じさせるための電動モータ2060の相対回転数ΔNmを、(1)式に従った演算処理によって求めることができる。
(2)式において、DTY(FB)は、上記回転数偏差および所定の制御ゲインによる制御演算(代表的には、一般的なP制御、PI制御等)基づくフィードバック項である。
本発明の実施の形態では、インテークバルブ位相制御の収束判定を図14に示すフローチャートに従って実行する。図14のフローチャートに従う収束判定は、インテーク用VVT機構2000によるバルブタイミング制御の一部として、ECU4000により実行される。
Claims (4)
- エンジンに設けられたインテークバルブおよびエキゾーストバルブの少なくとも一方のバルブの開閉タイミングを変更する可変バルブタイミング装置であって、
アクチュエータと、
前記開閉タイミングが変更されるバルブを駆動するカムシャフトのクランクシャフトに対する回転位相差を、前記アクチュエータの作動量に応じた変化量で変化させることによって前記開閉タイミングを変更する変更機構と、
前記開閉タイミングが変更されるバルブの現在の開閉タイミングと目標値との偏差に基づき、前記アクチュエータの作動量を設定するアクチュエータ作動量設定部とを備え、
前記アクチュエータ作動量設定部は、
前記偏差が判定値以下であるときに、前記アクチュエータの作動量を略零に設定する収束判定手段と、
エンジン停止の際の前記開閉タイミングの変更において、前記収束判定手段における前記判定値を、エンジン作動時の前記開閉タイミングの変更における前記判定値よりも大きい値に設定する判定値切換え手段とを含む、可変バルブタイミング装置。 - 前記エンジン停止の際の前記開閉タイミングの変更において、前記偏差が判定値以下となったときに前記アクチュエータへの給電を遮断するための給電遮断手段をさらに備える、請求項1記載の可変バルブタイミング装置。
- 前記アクチュエータは電動機で構成され、かつ、前記アクチュエータの作動量は、前記カムシャフトに対する前記電動機の相対的な回転速度差であり、
前記変更機構は、前記開閉タイミングが第1の領域にある場合と第2の領域にある場合とで、前記アクチュエータの作動量と前記開閉タイミングの変化量との比率が異なるように、かつ前記開閉タイミングの変化方向が同じであるように、前記開閉タイミングを変更する、請求項1記載の可変バルブタイミング装置。 - 前記エンジンの停止の際の前記開閉タイミングの変更において、前記開閉タイミングの目標値は、次回のエンジン始動に適した所定値に設定される、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の可変バルブタイミング装置。
