Description
(i)重合体の支持体を形成する工程と;
(ii)重合体のヒートシール性で剥離性の層を提供する工程と;
(iii)55から100℃の温度範囲にわたり約10〜80%の第1の寸法の収縮度を有し、および1:1から10:1の範囲の上記第1の寸法対第2の直交寸法の100℃における収縮比を有する重合体フィルムの収縮性の層を形成する工程と;
(iv)フィルム形成性材料の中間層を形成する工程と;
(v)1つまたは複数の金属層を形成する工程と;
(vi)支持体層および収縮性の層の間、および/または支持体層およびヒートシール性の層の間、好ましくは支持体層および収縮性の層の間に中間層を配置する工程と;
(vii)収縮性の層、中間層、支持体層、およびヒートシール性の層を積層して、多層構造物を形成する工程。ただし、上記1つまたは複数の金属層の上記形成は、積層に先立って、本明細書に説明した支持体、中間層、収縮性の層および/またはヒートシール性の層の1つまたは複数の1つまたは複数の表面を金属被覆することによって実施される。
(i)広角ヘイズをHazegard System XL−211を用いて、ASTM D 1003−61に従って測定する。
(ii)白色度指数を、Colorgard System 2000、Model/45(Pacific Scientific社製)を用いて、ASTM D 313に記載の原理に基づき測定する。
(iii)ヒートシール強度を以下のとおり測定する。積層フィルムを、ヒートシール性の層の手段によって、Microseal PA 201(Packaging Automation Ltd製、イギリス)トレーシール機を用いて180℃の温度および80psi(551kPa)の圧力で2秒間、標準APET/CPETトレーにシールする。シールしたフィルムおよびトレーの細長い片をシールに対して90°で切り出し、シールを引きはがすのに必要な負荷を0.2m/分のクロスヘッド速度で操作するInstronを用いて測定した。この手順を一般に4回反復し、5つの結果の平均値を計算した。
(iv)所定の温度における収縮度を、試料をその温度に加熱した水浴中に30秒間置き測定する。55から100℃の範囲にわたる収縮特性を、この範囲にわたる異なる温度、一般に5〜10℃の間隔でいくつかのフィルム試料を用いて評価する。
ポリエチレンテレフタレートを含む重合体組成物を、押出成形し、冷却した回転ドラム上にキャストし、押出成形の方向にその元の寸法のほぼ3倍に引き伸ばした。フィルムを100℃の温度でテンタオーブン中を通過させ、フィルムを幅方向にその元の寸法のほぼ3倍に引き伸ばした。二軸延伸されたフィルムを、約230℃で通常手段によって熱硬化した。次いで、熱硬化したフィルムに、オフラインで通常のコーテング手段を用いて、アゼライン酸/テレフタル酸/エチレングリコール(45/55/100)のコポリエステルをコートし、2μmの乾燥コーテング厚さを得た。合計フィルム厚さは20μmであった。
18モル%のエチレンイソフタレートおよび82モル%のエチレンテレフタレートのコポリエステルを含んだ重合体組成物を、融解押出成形し、冷却した回転ドラム上にキャストした。フィルムを約90℃の温度でテンタオーブン中を通過させ、フィルムを乾燥し、幅方向にその元の寸法のほぼ3.8倍に引き伸ばした。最終フィルムの合計厚さは50μmであった。
本発明の多層積層フィルムを、上記のように作製された収縮可能フィルムおよび支持体/ヒートシール可能複合材料フィルムと、セロハン(UCB Wigton、イギリス;誘電率0.38;燃焼点242℃)を含む厚さ25μmの中間層とを一緒に積層することによって作製した。中間層を、支持体層の金属被覆した表面と、収縮性の層との間にはさんだ。積層は、通常の技法に従って、First Laminator機(Taisei Laminator社)を用いて実施する。積層に使用した接着剤は、Novacote(商標)2525/3 2パート接着剤であった。
上記手順に従って作製された多層フィルムを、PET被覆カートン用板紙トレー(Trykko Pack A/S、デンマーク)に、Sentinelヒートシール機(Packaging Industries、米国)を用い、トレーの3面上には、130℃の温度および40psi(276kPa)の圧力で0.5秒間、トレーの第4の面上には、160℃の温度および80psi(551kPa)の圧力で0.5秒間、ヒートシールした。
上記の手順で作製された多層フィルム上に、生地をベースとする食品を置いた。食品をフィルム中に包み、次いで図8に示すフィンシールを形成するように、通常の装置を用いて130℃の温度で0.5秒間にわたり、フィルム自体にヒートシールした。
Claims (34)
- ヒートシール性で剥離性の重合体層を一面に有し、その反対面に収縮性の重合体層を有する重合体の支持体層を含む、ヒートシール性で剥離性の多層積層重合体フィルムであって、
前記収縮性の層は、温度範囲55から100℃にわたり約10〜80%の第1の寸法の収縮度を有し、および前記第1の寸法対第2の直交寸法の100℃における1:1から10:1の範囲の収縮比を有しており、かつ、前記収縮性の層が、前記第1および第2の寸法の一方または両方において、支持体の相当する寸法の収縮度を超える収縮度を有しており、かつ、支持体層と収縮性の層との間、および/または支持体層とヒートシール性で剥離性の層との間に配置された1つまたは2つの中間層、ならびに1つまたは複数の導電性材料層を更に含むことを特徴とするフィルム。 - 前記収縮性の層の収縮によって生じるせん断力は、ヒートシール層によって提供されるヒートシール結合力を超えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のフィルム。
- 前記支持体は、ポリエステルを含むことを特徴とする請求項1から2のいずれかに記載のフィルム。
- 前記支持体は、ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)を含むことを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載のフィルム。
- 前記収縮性の層は、テレフタル酸(TPA)およびイソフタル酸(IPA)と、脂肪族および脂環式ジオールからなる群から選択した1種または複数のジオールとのコポリエステルを含むことを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載のフィルム。
- 前記コポリエステルは、イソフタレートポリエステル単位およびテレフタレートポリエステル単位を、1から40モル%のイソフタレートおよび99から60モル%のテレフタレートのモル比で含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載のフィルム。
- 前記コポリエステルはエチレングリコールを含むことを特徴とする請求項5または6に記載のフィルム。
- 前記収縮性の層は、実質上18モル%のエチレンイソフタレートおよび82モル%のエチレンテレフタレートを含んだコポリエステルを含むことを特徴とする請求項5、6または7に記載のフィルム。
- 前記ヒートシール性で剥離性の層は、芳香族ジカルボン酸、脂肪族ジカルボン酸、およびグリコールのコポリエステルを含むことを特徴とする請求項1から8のいずれかに記載のフィルム。
- 前記ヒートシール性で剥離性の層の前記コポリエステルは、テレフタル酸、アゼライン酸、およびエチレングリコールを含むことを特徴とする請求項9に記載のフィルム。
- 前記コポリエステルは、エチレングリコールと、約55%テレフタル酸および約45%アゼライン酸とのコポリエステルであることを特徴とする請求項10に記載のフィルム。
- 前記ヒートシール性で剥離性の層は、脂肪族ジオール、脂環式ジオール、およびジカルボン酸から誘導されたコポリエステルを含むことを特徴とする請求項1から8のいずれかに記載のフィルム。
- 前記ヒートシール性で剥離性の層は、テレフタル酸と、エチレングリコールおよび1,4−シクロヘキサンジメタノールとのコポリエステルを含むことを特徴とする請求項12に記載のフィルム。
- 前記ヒートシール性で剥離性の層は、テレフタル酸と、エチレングリコールおよび1,4−シクロヘキサンジメタノールとのコポリエステルを含み、1,4−シクロヘキサンジメタノール対エチレングリコールのモル比は20:80から40:60の範囲にあることを特徴とする請求項13に記載のフィルム。
- 前記ヒートシール性で剥離性の層は、テレフタル酸と、約33モル%の1,4−シクロヘキサンジメタノールおよび約67モル%のエチレングリコールとのコポリエステルを含むことを特徴とする請求項14に記載のフィルム。
- 1つの中間層があることを特徴とする請求項1から15のいずれかに記載のフィルム。
- 前記中間層は、支持体と収縮性の層との間にあることを特徴とする請求項1から16のいずれかに記載のフィルム。
- 第1中間層が支持体と収縮性の層との間にあり、第2中間層が支持体とヒートシール性で剥離性の層との間にあるように、第2中間層が存在することを特徴とする請求項1から15のいずれかに記載のフィルム。
- 前記中間層は、6未満の誘電率を有することを特徴とする請求項1から18のいずれかに記載のフィルム。
- 前記中間層は、紙またはセロハンを含むことを特徴とする請求項1から19のいずれかに記載のフィルム。
- 1つまたは複数の前記導電層は、(i)収縮性の層および中間層、ならびに(ii)中間層および支持体層のうち、1つまたは複数の間に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1から20のいずれかに記載のフィルム。
- ただ1つの導電層があることを特徴とする請求項1から21のいずれかに記載のフィルム。
- 支持体と中間層との間に導電層を含むことを特徴とする請求項1から22のいずれかに記載のフィルム。
- 1つまたは複数の前記導電層は金属層であることを特徴とする請求項1から23のいずれかに記載のフィルム。
- 食品または飲料を入れる容器、および請求項1から24のいずれかに記載の重合体フィルムから形成された蓋を含むことを特徴とするシール容器。
- 食品の周りに供されシールを形成する包装材料が、請求項1から24のいずれかに記載の重合体フィルムであることを特徴とする包装されシールされた食品。
- ヒートシール性で剥離性の多層フィルムを製造する方法であって、
(i)重合体の支持体を形成する工程と、
(ii)ヒートシール性で剥離性の重合体層を提供する工程と、
(iii)55から100℃の温度範囲にわたり約10〜80%の第1の寸法の収縮度を有し、および前記第1の寸法対第2の直交寸法の100℃における1:1から10:1の範囲の収縮比を有し、かつ、前記第1および第2の寸法の一方または両方において、支持体の相当する寸法の収縮度を超える収縮度を有する重合体フィルムの収縮性の層を形成する工程と、
(iv)フィルム形成性材料の中間層を形成する工程と、
(v)1つまたは複数の金属層を形成する工程と、
(vi)支持体層と収縮性の層との間、および/または支持体層とヒートシール性の層との間に中間層を配置する工程と、
(vii)収縮性の層、中間層、支持体層、およびヒートシール性の層を積層して、多層構造物を形成する工程と
を含み、前記1つまたは複数の金属層の形成は、積層に先立って、1つまたは複数の、支持体、中間層、収縮性の層および/またはヒートシール性の層の、1つまたは複数の表面を金属被覆することによって実施されることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記中間層が、支持体層と収縮性の層との間に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項27に記載の方法。
- 前記ヒートシール性の層は、支持体の第1表面上に供されることを特徴とする請求項28に記載の方法。
- 多層フィルムの構成要素は、請求項1から24いずれかに記載のとおりであることを特徴とする請求項27に記載の方法。
- オーブン加熱用食物の包装材料として、または該包装材料を提供するための、請求項1から24のいずれかに記載のヒートシール性で剥離性の多層積層重合体フィルムの使用であって、包装材料が加熱サイクル中、自己剥離性および自己排気性であることを特徴とするフィルムの使用。
- オーブン加熱用容器上のヒートシール性の蓋として、またはその蓋を提供するための、請求項1から24のいずれかに記載のヒートシール性で剥離性の多層積層重合体フィルムの使用であって、前記ヒートシール性の蓋が加熱サイクル中、自己剥離性および自己排気性であることを特徴とするフィルムの使用。
- 前記重合体フィルムは、オーブン加熱用食物の唯一の包装材料であることを特徴とする請求項31に記載の使用。
- 前記オーブン加熱用容器は、電子レンジ内で使用するのに適していることを特徴とする請求項31、32または33に記載の使用。
