Description
Claims (5)
- 隣接する記録トラック同士を隔てる分離トラックおよび前記記録トラックの境界上で前記記録トラックの幅方向に振動に基づきヘッドを移動させる工程と、前記記録トラックに基づき前記ヘッドから供給される出力の最大値から最大値までの間隔t 1 とこの間隔t 1 に隣接する最大値から最大値までの間隔t 2 との差分を検出する工程と、検出された前記差分に基づき、前記ヘッドの位置を特定する位置情報を生成する工程とを備えることを特徴とする記録媒体駆動装置のヘッド位置検出方法。
- 請求項1に記載の記録媒体駆動装置のヘッド位置検出方法において、前記位置情報に基づき、前記記録トラックの中心線に向かって前記ヘッドを移動させる工程をさらに備えることを特徴とする記録媒体駆動装置のヘッド位置検出方法。
- 請求項2に記載の記録媒体駆動装置のヘッド位置検出方法において、前記ヘッドの移動にあたって、前記記録トラック上で第1領域に前記ヘッドを配置する工程と、前記記録トラック上で第1領域に隣接する第2領域に前記ヘッドを配置し、ヘッドの書き込み動作を許容する工程とをさらに備えることを特徴とする記録媒体駆動装置のヘッド位置検出方法。
- 請求項3に記載の記録媒体駆動装置のヘッド位置検出方法において、前記第2領域には、位置決め用の磁気情報が書き込まれることを特徴とする記録媒体駆動装置のヘッド位置検出方法。
- 隣接する記録トラック同士を隔てる分離トラックを区画する記録媒体と、前記記録媒体に向き合わせられるヘッドと、前記ヘッドを支持し、前記記録トラックの幅方向に振動に基づき前記ヘッドを移動させる駆動機構と、前記分離トラックおよび前記記録トラックの境界上で前記記録トラックの幅方向に移動する前記ヘッドから供給される出力の最大値から最大値までの間隔t 1 とこの間隔t 1 に隣接する最大値から最大値までの間隔t 2 との差分を検出し、検出された前記差分に基づき前記駆動機構の動きを制御する制御回路とを備えることを特徴とする記録媒体駆動装置。
