Claims (8)
- ドリルホールを形成するための切削工具であって、
工具ホルダーに工具を固定するための取付部分(10)と、
取付部分(10)の側面から延びるロッド状のネック部分(12)であって、断面が先細りであるネック部分(12)と、
ネック部分(12)に連結された切削部分(14)であって、外端部に切削刃(16)を備えるとともにネック部分(12)の長手方向に一致するすくい面(18)を備えた切削部分(14)とを有し、
ネック部分(12)は、外端部に切削刃(16)を備えた切削部分(14)を有する平面を長軸方向に対して直角方向に横切るように伸びるとともに切削部分(14)に向かって先細り状になるように伸びる一方の補強リブ(20)と他方の補強リブ(22)を備え、
上記取付部分(10)は、一方の側(32)において先細り状に収束し、他方の側(34)においてドーム状の屋根形状(36)のふもとから頂部に至る外形を定める曲面の曲率がふもとから頂部にかけて変化する2つの取付表面(30)を有し、
一方の補強リブ(20)と他方の補強リブ(22)は互いに完全に向き合うように位置し、一方の補強リブ(20)と他方の補強リブ(22)は取付部分(10)へと移り変わる位置において幅が最大となり、一方の補強リブ(20)と他方の補強リブ(22)はネック部分(12)を研削することによって形成され、一方の補強リブ(20)の研削面と他方の補強リブ(22)の研削面は異なる曲率半径の凹面状であることを特徴とする切削工具。 - 研削面が有する曲率半径は、取付部分(10)に近い側の曲率半径よりも切削部分(14)に近い側の曲率半径の方が大きい請求項1に記載の切削工具。
- 最先端に位置する切削部分(14)の逃げ面(26)の逃げ角は5°である請求項1または2に記載の切削工具。
- 最先端に位置する切削部分(14)の逃げ面(26)の切込み角は8°である請求項1または2に記載の切削工具。
- 切削部分(14)のすくい面(18)のすくい角は5°である請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の切削工具。
- 切削部分(14)は、すくい面側から見て長軸に対して直角方向に突出している部分を有する請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の切削工具。
- 2つの取付表面(30)によって画定される取付部分(10)の領域で長軸方向と平行に伸びている冷却液供給経路(38)を有する請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載の切削工具。
- ネック部分(12)から取付部分(10)へと移り変わるようにネック部分(12)の後方に取付部分(10)があり、その移り変わる点において冷却液供給経路(38)は開放されている請求項7記載の切削工具。
