本発明は、自動車用の空調装置等に使用される冷媒を貯溜すると共に、冷媒中の水分を除去するためのレシーバドライヤに関する。

【従来の技術】
例えば、特開2000−221542号公報は、この種のレシーバドライヤを示す。レシーバドライヤは、アルミ合金材を円筒状に形成した本体と、本体の開口部を封止するヘッダと称する円盤状の部材を備える。本体内部には、冷媒中の水分を吸収する乾燥剤が封入される。乾燥剤は粒状のものであって、乾燥剤を支持するためにプラスチック製の不織布によるフィルタと、フィルタを支持するメッシュ金属製の支持部材等を必要とする。ヘッダには、冷媒の入口穴と出口穴が設けられ、空調装置の他の部材に連通される。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
本発明は、以上のような基本的な構成を有するレシーバドライヤの構成を簡素化し、小型で軽量のレシーバドライヤを提供するものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明によるレシーバドライヤは、空気調和装置に使用される冷媒を貯留するとともに該冷媒中の水分を除去する機能を有するレシーバドライヤであって、有底の円筒状の本体と、該本体の開口部に固着され冷媒の入口穴及び出口穴を有する円盤状のヘッダと、前記本体内に封入される乾燥剤と、前記出口穴に取り付けられる異物除去用のストレーナとを備え、前記入口穴は、前記ヘッダの外側の端面から前記本体の内部に向けて延びるとともに先端部が前記ヘッダの側面に開口するように形成されており、前記ヘッダの側面における前記入口穴の開口が形成された部位と前記本体の内周面との間に冷媒が通過する隙間が形成されていることを特徴とする。

さらに、本発明のレシーバドライヤにおいて、前記ストレーナは、メッシュ状の金属円板をドーム状に加工してなるもので、前記ヘッダの内側の端面に前記本体の内部に向けて凸となるように取り付けられていることを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
図1は、本発明の実施の形態の第1の例を示す説明図、図2はその構成を示す部品図である。全体を符号100で示すレシーバドライヤは、円筒状のタンクである本体110と、本体110の開口部112を封止する円盤状のヘッダ120を有する。本体110の開口部112の反対側の底部114は、厚肉部に形成され、剛性の向上が図られる。

図2に示すように、本体110(図2(a)に示す)内に封入されるバッグ130(図2(b)に示す)は、例えば、プラスチック製の不織布を折りたたんで、その周辺132a,132b,132cを熱シール又は縫合してバッグ状に形成した構造を有する。バッグ130内には、乾燥剤134が封入される。バッグ130は、液体が通過しうる間隙を有するプラスチック製の不織布でつくられるので、本体110内に貯溜される冷媒は、バッグ130内の乾燥剤134に接触して、冷媒中に含まれる水分が乾燥剤に吸着される。

ヘッダ120(図2(d)に示す)の本体110内に対向する端面には、薄肉の壁部126が形成される。この薄肉の壁部126の内側において、出口穴124が、ヘッダ120の本体110内に対向する端面に開口している。この壁部126の内部には、ストレーナ140(図2(c)に示す)が挿入され、カシメ加工部K1によりヘッダ120に固定される。
このストレーナ140は、メッシュ金属円板を中高状に加工したものであって、本体110から出口穴124に向かう冷媒中の異物を除去する機能を有する。

このレシーバドライヤ100の組立に際しては、本体110内にバッグ130を封入し、本体110の開口部112にヘッダ120を挿入し、アーク溶接加工W1により接合を行なう。
ヘッダ120には、予めストレーナ140がカシメ加工部K1により取付けられている。
このレシーバドライヤ100は、冷媒の入口穴122、出口穴124が下方を向く姿勢で空調システム内に装備される。
入口穴122は、ヘッダ120の外側の端面127から本体110の内部に向けて延びているが、入口穴122の先端部122aはヘッダ120の側面128に開口するように形成されている。また、入口穴122の先端部122aがヘッダ120の側面128において開口する部位と本体110の内周面111との間に冷媒が通過する隙間129が形成されている。したがって、入口穴122から流入した冷媒は、隙間129を通じて本体110の上方内部に送られ、出口穴124に流入しにくくなっている。
