【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、例えば自動車の室内に設けられるコンソールボックスに関する。

【従来の技術】
例えば自動車の室内等においては、一般に、物品を収納するためにコンソールボックスが設けられている。このコンソールボックスには、実公平５−２０６０５号公報に示すように、上部開口を有する収納体と、該上部開口を開閉する蓋体とを備える基本構造の下で、収納体の後部にヒンジを設け、そのヒンジのアームを蓋体内に摺動可能に挿入することにより、そのヒンジを利用して、蓋体が収納体に対してスライド可能とされると共に起倒動可能とされている。これにより、使用者は、蓋体をスライドさせることに基づき、収納体における上部開口を前部において半開きすることができ、蓋体を起立動させることに基づき、上部開口の全てを開くことができることになる。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、上記コンソールボックスにおいては、収納体における上部開口を前部半開き状態にして開くことができるものの、その前部半開き状態にしたときには、蓋体の後部が収納体の後方に突出することになり、コンソールボックス後部側に存在する者にとって邪魔にならざるを得ない。
また、このコンソールボックスにおいては、蓋体の全開に際して、全閉状態から全開状態にするときには、蓋体の全長が収納体上面から起立して、コンソールボックス後部側からの使い勝手は極めて悪くなる一方、前部半開き状態から全開状態にするときには、蓋体の収納体からの起立高さが低められてコンソールボックス後部側からの使い勝手は改善されるものの、その際には、蓋体の後部が収納体の後方に突出することになり、コンソールボックス後部側にいる者にとって邪魔になるばかりか、その蓋体の後部の回動のための空間を確保しなければならない。
さらに、このコンソールボックスにおいては、上部開口を前部半開き状態に開くことができるものの、上部開口の後部については独立して半開き状態で開くことができず、上部開口の後部を開くには該上部開口を全開しなければならない。このため、このコンソールボックスにおいては、コンソールボックス後部側からの使い勝手がよくないばかりか、開操作が煩雑となっている。

本発明は上記実情に鑑みてなされたもので、その技術的課題は、収納体における上部開口の前部及び全部を開く際に、蓋体を後方に突出しないようにすることができると共に、収納体における上部開口を前部だけでなく後部をも独立に開くことができるコンソールボックスを提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記技術的課題を達成するために本発明（請求項１の発明）にあっては、
上部開口を有する収納体と、該上部開口を開閉する蓋体とを備えるコンソールボックスにおいて、
前記蓋体が、前記収納体の前後方向に整列可能とされる複数の構成蓋からなり、
前記複数の構成蓋のうち、前記収納体の最後部における最後部構成蓋が、該最後部構成蓋の後端部が前記収納体の後部に形成された回動軸を中心に回動可能に支持されることにより、該収納体に対して起倒動可能に支持され、
前記複数の構成蓋のうち、前記最後部構成蓋以外の各構成蓋が、前記収納体に対して該収納体の前後方向にスライド可能とされており、
前記最後部構成蓋の閉時において前記最後部構成蓋以外の各構成蓋が該最後部構成蓋上に重合可能となるように設定され、
前記最後部構成蓋以外の各構成蓋は、前記最後部構成蓋上に重合した状態のときに、該最後部構成蓋と一体的に起倒動可能となるように設定されていると共に、
前記最後部構成蓋は、前記最後部構成蓋以外の各構成蓋が前記最後部構成蓋上に重合していない状態のときに、該最後部構成蓋のみが上記回動軸を中心として回動可能となるように設定されている構成としてある。
また、上記技術的課題を達成するために本発明（請求項２の発明）にあっては、
上部開口を有する収納体と、該上部開口を開閉する蓋体とを備えるコンソールボックスにおいて、
前記蓋体が、前記収納体の前後方向に整列可能とされる複数の構成蓋からなり、
前記複数の構成蓋のうち、前記収納体の最後部における最後部構成蓋が、該収納体に対して起倒動可能に支持され、
前記複数の構成蓋のうち、前記最後部構成蓋以外の各構成蓋が、前記収納体に対して該収納体の前後方向にスライド可能とされて、前記最後部構成蓋の閉時において該最後部構成蓋上に重合可能となるように設定され、
前記複数の構成蓋が、前蓋と後蓋とからなり、
前記後蓋が前記最後部構成蓋とされ、
前記後蓋と前記収納体との間にロック手段が設けられ、
前記ロック手段が、前記収納体における上部開口を全開する際に、前記前蓋が前記後蓋に所定の重合状態になることを条件として、前記後蓋と前記収納体との間のロックを解除できるように設定されている構成としてある。

【発明の効果】
請求項１の発明によれば、蓋体が複数の構成蓋からなり、そのうち、最後部構成蓋以外の各構成蓋が、収納体に対して該収納体の前後方向にスライド可能とされて、最後部構成蓋上に重合可能となるように設定されていることから、収納体の上部開口の前部を開くことができるばかりか、その上部開口の前部を開く際に、蓋体を収納体上に収めることができ、該収納体の後方に蓋体の後部が突出することを防止できることになる。
また、最後部構成蓋が、収納体に対して起倒動可能に支持されていることから、最後部構成蓋以外の各構成蓋を該最後部構成蓋に重合させた状態にして、該最後部構成蓋を起立させることができ、これにより、収納体における上部開口の全部を開くことができると共に、その際に、蓋体を収納体上に収めて、該収納体の後方に蓋体の後部が突出することを防止できることになる。勿論この場合、最後部構成蓋以外の各構成蓋が該最後部構成蓋に重合されて、収納体上面から起立する蓋体の起立長さが低減されることになり、収納体における上部開口の全開時において、コンソールボックス後部側からの使い勝手を向上させることができることになる。
さらに、最後部構成蓋が、収納体に対して起倒動可能に支持されていることから、最後部構成蓋以外の構成蓋を該最後部構成蓋に重合させない状態において、該最後部構成蓋を起立させることができ、これにより、収納体における上部開口の後部だけを独立して開くことができることになる。

さらにまた、最後部構成蓋の後端部が収納体の後部に回動可能に支持されていることから、蓋体の回動支点を収納体の後部に設ける一般的態様の下で、前述の作用効果を得ることができることになる。

請求項２の発明によれば、蓋体が複数の構成蓋からなり、そのうち、最後部構成蓋以外の各構成蓋が、収納体に対して該収納体の前後方向にスライド可能とされて、最後部構成蓋上に重合可能となるように設定されていることから、収納体の上部開口の前部を開くことができるばかりか、その上部開口の前部を開く際に、蓋体を収納体上に収めることができ、該収納体の後方に蓋体の後部が突出することを防止できることになる。
また、最後部構成蓋が、収納体に対して起倒動可能に支持されていることから、最後部構成蓋以外の各構成蓋を該最後部構成蓋に重合させた状態にして、該最後部構成蓋を起立させることができ、これにより、収納体における上部開口の全部を開くことができると共に、その際に、蓋体を収納体上に収めて、該収納体の後方に蓋体の後部が突出することを防止できることになる。勿論この場合、最後部構成蓋以外の各構成蓋が該最後部構成蓋に重合されて、収納体上面から起立する蓋体の起立長さが低減されることになり、収納体における上部開口の全開時において、コンソールボックス後部側からの使い勝手を向上させることができることになる。
さらに、最後部構成蓋が、収納体に対して起倒動可能に支持されていることから、最後部構成蓋以外の構成蓋を該最後部構成蓋に重合させない状態において、該最後部構成蓋を起立させることができ、これにより、収納体における上部開口の後部だけを独立して開くことができることになる。

さらにまた、複数の構成蓋が、前蓋と後蓋とからなり、後蓋が最後部構成蓋とされていることから、複数の構成蓋の数を最も少なくすることによって構成の簡素化を図りつつ、前述の各作用効果を得ることができることになる。

加えて、後蓋と収納体との間にロック手段が設けられ、ロック手段が、収納体における上部開口を全開する際に、前蓋が後蓋に所定の重合状態になることを条件として、後蓋と収納体との間のロックを解除できるように設定されていることから、収納体における上部開口を全開する操作を確実におこなうことができることになる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施形態について図面に基づいて説明する。

図１において、符号１は自動車の車室内で、この車室１内には、左右の前席２間において、本実施形態に係るコンソールボックス３が車体前後方向に延びるようにして配設されている。このコンソールボックス３は、合成樹脂等を用いて形成されている。

前記コンソールボックス３は、図２、図３に示すように、収納体４と蓋体５とを備えている。収納体４は、コンソールボックス３のほぼ全体を形作って車体前後方向に延びており、その収納体４には、物品を収納するために内部空間６が内部ほぼ全体に亘って形成されている。この内部空間６は、長方形の上部開口７を介して外部に開口されており、この上部開口７を区画する上部開口周縁部のうち、車幅方向両側における両側縁部８は、対向した状態で平行に延びている。

この収納体４の内部空間６には仕切壁９が設けられている。この仕切壁９は、内部空間６を長手方向略中央において前、後室１０、１１に区画しており、前室１０にカップホルダ等を設置し後室１１を小物入れ等とすることが好ましい。また、この仕切壁９の上部には、幅方向略中央において突片１２が設けられており、その突片１２には、車体後方に向けて係止凹部１３（ロック手段の構成要素）が形成されている。

この収納体４における各内側側面には、前記側縁部８の下方において段差面１４がそれぞれ形成されている。この各段差面１４は、各側縁部８と協働して、内部側方に開口する案内溝１５がそれぞれ形成されており、その両案内溝１５は、内部空間６全体に亘って延びている。この各案内溝１５においては、互いに対応させつつ、複数の位置決め凹所１６ａ，１６ｂ，１６ｃと複数の切り欠き部１７ａ，１７ｂとが設けられている。各位置決め凹所１６ａ（１６ｂ，１６ｃ）は、段差面１４に丸みをもたせて形成されており、その位置決め凹所１６ａ（１６ｂ，１６ｃ）は、本実施形態においては、案内溝１５の延び方向前端部、案内溝１５の延び方向略中央部、その案内溝１５の延び方向前端部と略中央部との間の３位置に設定されている。各切り欠き部１７ａ（１７ｂ）は、両側縁部８を切り欠いて案内溝１５を上部外方に開放しており、その各切り欠き部１７ａ（１７ｂ）は、最後尾における前記位置決め凹所１６ｃよりもやや後方位置（案内溝１５の延び方向略中央部）、案内溝１５の延び方向後端部の２位置に設定されている。

前記蓋体５は、図２、図３に示すように、前記収納体４における上部開口７の後半部を開閉する後蓋１８、該上部開口７の前半部を開閉する前蓋１９とからなる。

上記後蓋１８は、上部開口７の後半部分にほぼ収まる後蓋本体部２０と、その後蓋本体部２０の後端部から後方に延出する支持部２１とを有し、その支持部２１は、ヒンジ２２を介して収納体４の後端部上面に取付けられている。

上記後蓋本体部２０には、その幅方向両側部において、案内溝２３がそれぞれ形成されている。その両案内溝２３は、後蓋本体部２０の長手方向前端から後端までの全体に亘って、幅方向外方に開口しつつ延びており、その両案内溝２３を形成する案内溝下面には、その長手方向前端部近傍において位置決め凹所２４が形成されている。また、後蓋本体部２０の前端部上面には、幅方向中央部において、後蓋１８単独の開操作に際して手をかけるための凹部２５が形成され、後蓋本体部２０の前端部下面には、幅方向中央部において、前記突片１２が進入可能な凹所２６が形成されていると共に、その凹所２６内において、前記係止凹部１３に係止可能な係止爪２７（ロック手段の構成要素）が設けられている。

上記支持部２１は、上面が前記後蓋本体部２０の上面に連続して平面状態とされており、その支持部２１下部には、その上部よりも幅方向に狭められた案内部２８が形成されている。この案内部２８には、幅方向両側において案内突部２９が形成されており、その案内突部２９は、支持部２１前端から後端までの全体に亘って形成されている。案内部２８の下面には、ガイドピン３０が設けられると共に案内孔３１が形成されている。このガイドピン３０と案内孔３１とは、案内部２８の幅方向中央部に位置され、本実施形態においては、ガイドピン３０が案内孔３１よりも前側に位置されている。

前記ヒンジ２２は、一対の取付け板部３２，３３とばね３４とを有しており、その一対の取付け板部３２，３３は、回動支点Ｏを中心として回動可能とされると共に、ばね３４の付勢力に基づき、その回動支点Ｏを中心として、一対の取付け板部３２，３３が開く方向に付勢されている。この一対の取付け板部３２，３３のうち、一方の取付け板部３２は、収納体４における後端部上面にねじ止めされており、他方の取付け板部３３は後蓋１８における支持部２１を変位動可能に保持している。この他方の取付け板部３３には、支持部２１を保持するためにガイド溝３５と、案内孔３６と、ガイドピン３７とが設けられている。ガイド溝３５は、他方の取付け板部３３における幅方向両側において、その両端部が折り曲げられて形成されており、その両ガイド溝３５に前記支持部２１における案内突部２９が摺動可能に嵌合されている。案内孔３６は、他方の取付け板部３３における幅方向中央において、その前端部を切り欠くようにして形成され、その案内孔３６に支持部２１のガイドピン３０が位置されている。ガイドピン３７は、上記案内孔３６よりも後方に位置されており、そのガイドピン３７は支持部２１の案内孔３１に挿入されている。また、ヒンジ２２におけるガイドピン３７と支持部２１におけるガイドピン３０とは、ばね受けとしての機能をも有しており、その両ガイドピン３０，３７にはばね３８が掛け渡され、そのばね３８の付勢力により、支持部２１（後蓋１８）は、他方の取付け板部３３におけるガイド溝３５から突出する方向に付勢されている。

これにより、ヒンジ２２における一対の取付け板部３２，３３が互いに当接しているときには、後蓋本体部２０が収納体４における上部開口７内にほぼ適合した状態で該上部開口７を閉じることになり、その後蓋本体部２０における案内溝２３は、収納体４における案内溝１５に対向することになる。しかもこのとき、ばね３８の付勢力により支持部２１がヒンジ２２における他方の取付け板部３３のガイド溝３５から突出する方向に付勢されていることに基づき、後蓋本体部２０における係止爪２７と収納体４における係止凹部１３とが強固な係止関係が維持されることになる。

その一方、上記状態から後蓋１８の凹部２５に手を掛けて該後蓋１８に後方に向けた力を作用させたときには、支持部２１がヒンジ２２におけるガイド溝３５をばね３８の付勢力に抗して移動して、上記係止爪２７と係止凹部１３との係止関係が解除され、ヒンジ２２におけるばね３４の付勢力により後蓋１８は、収納体４における上部開口７を開く方向に開動することになる。

前記前蓋１９は、前記後蓋１８の表面部を取り囲んで該後蓋１８の長手方向に摺動できる大きさと形状に形成されており、前蓋１９が収納体４における上部開口７の前半部を閉じたときには、その前蓋１９の後端部が、閉状態の後蓋１８の前端部に重なることになっている。この重なり部分を図３中、符号Ｌをもって示す。この前蓋１９の前端部には、幅方向中央部において、前蓋１９を閉じるための凹所３９が形成されている。この凹所３９は、前蓋１９の該当部分を下方に膨出させた膨出部４０により形成されており、その膨出部４０は、前方に向かうに従って下方に突出する傾斜面４０ａを形成している。

また、前蓋１９の幅方向両側には、図３に示すように、長手方向前端部と後端部において、摺動片４１，４２が設けられている。この各摺動片４１（４２）は、幅方向外側に突出する外側片部４１ａ（４２ａ）と、幅方向内側に突出する内側片部４１ｂ（４２ｂ）とを有している。外側片部４１ａ（４２ａ）は、収納体４における案内溝１５に嵌合されて、その案内溝１５を摺動（スライド）できることになっており（図４、図５参照）、内側片部４１ｂ（４２ｂ）は、前蓋１９の後方へのスライドに伴い前蓋１９が後蓋１８に重合するときにのみ、閉状態の後蓋１８両側部における案内溝２３に嵌合できることになっている（図５参照）。

このような摺動片４１，４２のうち、前蓋１９の長手方向前端部における摺動片４１には、下方に膨らむ皿ばね４３が設けられている。この皿ばね４３は、案内溝１５内における位置決め凹所１６ａ，１６ｂ，１６ｃに位置したときに、適度な節度感を使用者に感じさせると共に、前蓋１９の位置決めを行う機能を有しており、この皿ばね４３を有する摺動片４１は、本実施形態においては、前蓋１９が収納体４における上部開口７を全閉状態のとき、その上部開口７前半部の半分を開くとき、上部開口７の前半部を開くときに、収納体４における案内溝１５内の前記各位置決め凹所１６ａ（１６ｂ，１６ｃ）に入り込むことになっている。また、前蓋１９の後方スライドに伴い、前蓋１９が後蓋１８に所定の状態に重合されたときには、その皿ばね４３を有する摺動片４１（内側片部４１ｂ）は、該後蓋１８における案内溝２３内の位置決め凹所２４に入り込むことになっており、このとき、前蓋１９における各摺動片４１，４２の外側片部４１ａ，４２ａは、収納体４における前記各切り欠き部１７ａ，１７ｂに臨むことになっている。これにより、ヒンジ２２に基づく後蓋１８の回動に伴って前蓋１９の回動が生じたときには、外側片部４１ａ，４２ａは、切り欠き部１７ａ，１７ｂを介して収納体４における案内溝１５から抜け出し、前蓋１９と後蓋１８とは、一体的に起立動（開動）することになっている。尚、図中、符号４４は、前蓋１９を後方スライドさせるために手を掛ける凹所である。

このようなコンソールボックス３の作用を説明すれば、次のようになる。図２に示す上部開口７の全閉状態から該上部開口７の前部を開く場合には、前蓋１９を後方にスライドさせれば、皿ばね４３を有する摺動片４１と位置決め凹所１６ｂ，１６ｃとの嵌合により、上部開口７の前半部開口状態（図６の実線参照）、その半分の開口状態（図６の仮想線参照）を、適度な節度感をもって簡単に得られることになる。この場合、前蓋１９は、後蓋１８に重合し、収納体４の後方には突出しない。

図２に示す上部開口７の全閉状態から該上部開口７の後部を開く場合には、後蓋１８を若干後方スライドさせて、前蓋１９の後端部と後蓋１８の前端部とを重合しない状態にすると共に、係止爪２７と係止凹部１３との係止関係を解除すれば、ヒンジ２２に作用するばね３４の付勢力に基づき、後蓋１８は、図７、図８に示すように、起立動し、上部開口７の後部のみが開かれることになる。勿論、ヒンジ２２が収納体４上面に設けられていることから、後蓋１８が、起立動に伴い収納体４後方に突出することはない。

図２に示す上部開口７の全閉状態から該上部開口７の全部を開く場合には、図９に示すように、前蓋１９を後蓋１８上に重合するように後方スライドさせる。これにより、前蓋１９における摺動片４１，４２の内側片部４１ｂ、４２ｂが後蓋１８の案内溝２３にも入り込み、前蓋１９が所定の後方位置までスライドしたときには、皿ばね４３を有する摺動片４１が後蓋１８における案内溝２３の位置決め凹所２４に嵌合され、そのときの節度感が、所定の重合状態になったことを使用者に知らせることになる。このとき同時に、前蓋１９前端部下面における膨出部傾斜面４０ａが、後蓋１８前端部に当接して該後蓋１８をばね３８の付勢力に抗して後方スライドさせることになっており、上記所定の重合状態になるまで後方スライドさせたときには、係止爪２７と係止凹部１３との係止関係が解除されることになる。またこの所定の重合状態になるまで後方スライドさせたときには、前蓋１９における各摺動片４１，４２の外側片部４１ａ，４２ａが切り欠き部１７ａ，１７ｂに臨む位置に位置することになる。このため、このような状態で前蓋１９等に対する手の力を弱めれば、ヒンジ２２におけるばね３４の付勢力により、図１０に示すように、前蓋１９と後蓋１８とが一体的に起立動することになり、上部開口７の前部が開かれることになる。勿論この場合にも、前蓋１９を後蓋１８上に重合させた状態で、後蓋１８の起立動を利用して、全開とすることから、前蓋１９及び後蓋１８のいずれも、収納体４の後方には突出しない。

上記全開状態から全閉状態に戻す場合には、前蓋１９及び後蓋１８を倒伏動させ、前蓋１９の各摺動片４１，４２を切り欠き部１７ａ，１７ｂを介して案内溝１５内に入れる。そして、その状態を維持しつつ、前蓋１９のみを、摺動片４１が位置決め凹所２４を乗り越える力をもって前方にスライドさせれば、図２に示す全閉状態が得られることになる。

図１１〜図１４は第２実施形態を示す。この実施形態において、前記第１実施形態と同一構成要素については、同一符号を付してその説明を省略する。

この実施形態においては、仕切壁９の上部に突片１２に代えて、ロック機構４５が設けられている。このロック機構４５は、その後方側側面において、ばね付勢に基づき、後方に向けて突出する係止爪４６が設けられており、その係止爪４６は、ロック機構４５の上面に設けられるプッシュボタン４７を押すことによりロック機構４５内に引っ込むように設定されている。一方、後蓋１８の前端面には、前記係止爪４６が進入可能な係止孔４８が形成されており、係止爪４６が係止孔４８に進入しているときには、後蓋１８は閉状態に維持されることになる。勿論この場合には、後蓋１８を前方に向けて付勢するばねは設けられていない。

したがって、この実施形態においても、図１２に示すように、前蓋１９を後方にスライドさせることにより上部開口７の前部を開くことができ、また、図１３に示すように、プッシュボタン４７を押して係止爪４６と係止孔４８との係止関係を解除することにより、後蓋１８のみを起立動させて、上部開口７の後部のみを開くことができることになる。さらに、上部開口７の全部を開く場合には、図１４に示すように、前蓋１９を、ロック機構４５を通り過ぎるまで後方にスライドさせて、前蓋１９と後蓋１８とを重合状態とし、その後、プッシュボタン４７を押すことにより、前蓋１９と後蓋１８とを一体的にヒンジ２２におけるばね３４の付勢力に基づき起立動させることになる。

図１５〜図１８は第３実施形態を示す。この第３実施形態において、前記第２実施形態と同一構成要素については、同一符号を付してその説明を省略する。

この第３実施形態においては、後蓋１８の後端部を収納体４の後端部上面に回動可能に支持することに代えて、後蓋１８における幅方向一方側の側部（図１５中、下部（助手席側））を収納体４の幅方向一方側（図１５中、下方側（助手席側））に支持して、後蓋１８が、車体前後方向に延びる回動支点Ｏを中心として起倒動可能とされると共に、起立方向に付勢されることになっている。このため、この実施形態においては、ロック機構４５におけるプッシュボタン４７を押して係止爪４６と係止孔４８との係止関係を解除することにより、後蓋１８のみを助手席側に起立させて上部開口７の後部のみを開くことができるばかりか、前述の如く前蓋１９を後蓋１８に重合させた状態で、前蓋１９と後蓋１８とを一体的に助手席側に起立動させて、上部開口７を全開することができることになる。

具体的には、後蓋１８等が助手席側に起立動するに伴って、該後蓋１８における幅方向一方側の側部（以下、回動基端部５２と称す（図１６中、左部））等と、収納体４における幅方向（車幅方向）一方側の側部（図１６中、左部）５３とが干渉することを確実に回避すべく、回動機構５１が備えられている。
