例えばパック入りの豆腐は、プラスチックより成るパック容器の中に豆腐を入れ、同じくプラスチックより成るフィルムにより接着し、密封したものであるが、商品の性質上、接着が完全に行われているため、パックの接着部を手で剥がすことは非常に困難であり、そのため類似商品の中でも最も開けにくい包装の筆頭に挙げられている。このような豆腐パックは陳列ケースにある間、不用意に取り扱われても剥がれる恐れがなく、その点安心していられるが、いざ開けるとなるとナイフや包丁でフィルムを切り開く作業が必要となる。豆腐は重く、形をくずしやすい点他に類がなく、密封の完全性と開封の容易性という矛盾した要求を満たす容器を必要とする。しかし、このような要求を満足する容器は他に知られていない。
内容物を充填包装する技術については特開平１０−１１９９３６号のものがあり、同号の発明は底材に蓋材と非融着性の剥離部を部分的に形成したもので、剥離部を指先でつまんで開封することにより、開封のきっかけを与えようとするものである。しかし、パック容器の隅に非融着性の剥離部を設けても、接着の完全な豆腐パックの開封が容易化することは考えられない。容器が柔軟なため、力を込めて押さえていることができないからである。また特開２００２−２１１６４７号は、液汁を含む漬け物が入っている包装用容器について、密閉性を十分に得るとともに開封を簡単に行えるようにするために、開閉扉を覆うラベルを蓋体表面に貼付するという構成を有している。しかしこれでは切り込みで囲まれた開閉扉から液漏れの生ずる恐れがあり、また開閉扉が容器本体より相当小さいため豆腐類を取り出すのが困難である。
そこで本発明者は先にパック容器の開口を取り巻くフランジ部を折って切断することにより、強固なシール部にてフィルムを剥がさなくても容易に内容物を取り出し得るようにした、折り切り部付き密封容器を開発し、その成果について特許出願を行っている。それらの発明は、フランジ部を折り切るために折り切り用溝を形成したものである。しかし溝部分の強度を低く設定する必要上、容器メーカーの出荷時点からフランジ部が折れ曲がる可能性があり、食品包装工程や店頭陳列時においても折れ曲がる機会があるため、取り扱いに不安があるという指摘があった。溝部分で折れ曲がってもそれだけでは内容物が漏れ出てしまう心配はないが、折れているということが不安感をひき起こすものである。しかし開封方法を説明しても良くは分からない人もおり、折り切るためにはフランジ部を端から端まで完全にしかも１８０度折り曲げることが必要であり、ワンタッチ開封とはいい難いという面があった。開封にてこずると容器を破損して思わぬ箇所から内容物が漏れ出る可能性もあり、場合によっては折り切ることができず、なお改良の余地があった。

本発明は前記の事情に着目してなされたもので、その課題は、密封容器を確実かつ容易に開封し得るようにすることである。また本発明の他の課題は、製造の容易な密封容器を提供することである。
前記の課題を解決するため、本発明は、プラスチック製パック容器の開口を密閉するために、開口を囲んでいるフランジ部に密封用フィルムを接着した構成を有する密封容器について、フランジ部を、開口寄りの内側部分と周縁寄りの外側部分との内外２部分に分離可能な構造とし、フランジ部の下面に剥離用フィルムを接着し、剥離用フィルムの一部にフランジ部より外方又は内方へ張り出した剥離開始部を設け、剥離用フィルムをフランジ部に沿って剥離することにより、フランジ部を内外２部分に分離した切り離し線と、内外２部分を連絡しているブリッジ部とを露出可能にするという手段を講じたものである。
本発明に係る密封容器は、プラスチック製パック容器の開口部を、密封用フィルムで覆いかつシールしたものであり、このシール部を手で剥がすことが非常に困難なものであることは、従来のものと共通していると考えて良い。この困難性を克服しかつ密封の完全性を維持するために、本発明では、開口部を囲むように設けられている、フランジ部の上面又は下面に補強機能を有する剥離用フィルムを接着するとともに、フランジ部の上面には密封用フィルムを接着する。このようにして下面及び上面に剥離用と密封用のフィルムが夫々接着されるフランジ部を、内側部分と外側部分に予め分離可能な状態にしておくものである。
このフランジ部が内側部分と外側部分に分離可能にされているために、フランジ部が折れ曲がってしまうということはない。何故なら内側部分と外側部分に分離可能な状態にあるフランジ部は、開口部を密封する密封用フィルムで上面が接着されると同時に、補強機能を有する剥離用フィルムによっても、例えば下面にて接着されているものであり、従って上面、下面の両面においてフィルムで内側部分と外側部分の一体性を保持しているからである。
フランジ部の分離可能な構造は、どのような手段、方法で形成しても良い。例えば一体のフランジ部を切断により内側部分と外側部分に分離可能な構造としても良いし、内側部分だけを有する幅の狭いフランジ部に、外側部分を突き合わせて、ブリッジ部により一体的に形成しても良いし、容器メーカーでの真空成形時に、フランジ部の内側部分と外側部分がブリッジ部によって一体となっている容器を形成しても良い。即ち、フランジ部の分離可能な構造は、フランジ部を内外２部分に分離した切り離し線と内外２部分を連絡しているブリッジ部とから成る、破線ないし鎖線状の切り離し構成とする。
フランジ部の分離可能な構造は、パック容器の開口部を囲むように設けられているフランジ部の全域に設けられていても良いし、また一部だけに設けられていても良い。また切り離し線は、一筆書き式につながったものであっても良いし、またそうでなくても良い。
フランジ部の下面と上面のどちらの面においても、補強機能を有する剥離用フィルムと密封用フィルムが接着されており、かつ接着箇所がフランジ部の内側部分と外側部分の両側部分にわたっていることは、どれも必要な要件である。しかし接着には、強い接着即ち剥がし難い接着と、弱い接着即ち剥がし易いとを併用することが良い結果を生む。この強接着部は密封用フィルムと外側部分との接着部に適用し、また弱接着部は密封用フィルムと内側部分との接着部及び剥離用フィルムと内側部分ないし外側部分の接着部の両方に適用することが望ましい。
さらに剥離開始部を、剥離用フィルムの外方又は内方へ張り出すように設けてここからフランジ部に沿った縦方向の剥離を開始させるものとする。剥離開始部は、剥離用フィルムに張り出し部を設けるなどの手段方法によって形成することができるが、剥離用フィルムに何箇所かにわたって設けても良いし、また一箇所だけに設けても良い。この構成により、剥離開始部はパック容器のフランジ部の外方又は内方に位置することになり、内方の位置は、外観上、目に付きにくい位置であるが、手でパック容器を持った場合には、フランジ部を摘み持つ指先が触れる位置であるので、何だろうか？という疑問を持たせ、開封手段であるということに気付くきっかけを与えることになる。外方のものは明らかに分かり易い。この剥離開始部には目立たせるように着色を施すことができる。
以上の説明において、剥離用フィルム及び密封用フィルムと、ともにフィルムという文言を用いているが、これはどちらも同じか或いは同様のものであっても良いが、同じものであるということを意味しない。剥離用フィルムは、分離部において内側部分と外側部分に２分されるフランジ部を補強するものであり、そのために厚手の素材を使用するのに対して、密封用フィルムはその必要がない。この条件を反映する必要があるならば、１００分の１インチ即ち約０．２５ｍｍ以上の厚さに対する通称シートの方が剥離、補強用にはより適切であり、密封用には約０．２５ｍｍ以下で良いということができる。
パック容器は、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポリエステル、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン又はこれらと同効の素材より成り、密封用フィルム及び剥離用フィルムの接着されている状態では、フランジ部が切り離し線で折り曲げられることのない強度を有しているものであることが望ましい。しかしブリッジ部は、剥離用フィルムを剥離し、露出された段階では、指先によって容易に破断されるものでなければならない。このような或る限定的な強靭性を有する材料として前記の樹脂が適しているものである。
本発明は以上の如く構成されかつ作用するものであるから、剥離開始部が分かりやす
く、フランジ部に沿って縦方向に剥離することにより開封が容易であり、またパック容器を取り扱う製造業者、豆腐などの商品をパックする業者、パック容器入り商品を運搬する業者及び販売する業者、或いは末端の消費者に、開封の不安、例えば製造、流通過程で誤って開封してしまうのではないかという不安や、商品を手にした消費者が、途中で開封されているのではないかという不安を抱かせることがないという効果を奏する。
以下図示の実施形態を参照して本発明を、より詳細に説明する。図１〜図３は、本発明に係る開封容易な密封容器の第１の例を示すもので、１１はパック容器、１２はフランジ部であり、破断部１９を境として内外に位置する内側部分１３と外側部分１４とを有している。また、１５は密封用フィルム、１６は補強機能を有する剥離用フィルムであり、フランジ部１２の下面に内側部分１３と外側部分１４の２部分にわたって接着されている。１７は内側接着部、１８は外側接着部である。なお、密封用フィルム１５の接着は、パック容器１１に、例えば豆腐などの商品が収められたのちに行われる。
第１の例において、破断部１９は、フランジ部１２を内側部分１３と外側部分１４に分かち、外側部分１４を分離可能にする部分であり、切り離し線１９ａと、未だ切り離れていないブリッジ部１９ｂとを有している。例示の破断部１９は長い切り離し線１９ａの間に極く短いブリッジ部１９ｂを配置したもので、切り離し線１９ａ、ブリッジ部１９ｂの長さや幅の寸法は任意に決めることができ、ブリッジ部１９ｂについては、剥離用フィルム１６を接着するまでの内側部分１３と外側部分１４の離反防止と、開封時の破断容易性の両方の条件を満足するものでなければならない。フランジ部１２に密封用フィルム１５及び剥離用フィルム１６の接着されている開封前の状態では、フランジ部１２に折り曲げ力が働いてもブリッジ部１９ｂは破断しない条件に置かれている。例えばパック容器１０が豆腐１丁用のものでシート厚０．４ｍｍのポリプロピレン製である場合、加工機のナイフによって形成される切り離し線１９ｂの長さは例えば２５ｍｍ、幅は目視により線としてほぼ分かる状態（約０．１ｍｍほどか）の場合、ブリッジ部１９ｂの長さは約０．１〜０．３ｍｍの範囲で良く、これは注意しなければ分からない程度の大きさである。図４、図５は、この切り離し部１９ａとブリッジ部１９ｂを形成したパック容器単体の形態を示している。上記の数値は、あくまで例示であり、シート、フィルムの厚さや、パック容器の大きさ等の条件に応じて任意に選択することができる事項である。
第１の例の密封容器を形成する場合、加工機のナイフによってフランジ部１２に破断部１９を形成する。この破断部１９はブリッジ部１９ｂによって内側部分１３と外側部分１４が離反しないようになっている（図６）。フランジ部１２に剥離用フィルム１６を内側接着部１７と外側接着部１８で接着する（図７）。接着強度は内側接着部１７と外側接着部１８の両方とも弱い接着で良いが、剥離用フィルム１６は接着温度を高くしても弱い接着のままである素材を使用する。その後密封用フィルム１５をフランジ部上面に内側部分１３と外側部分１４の２部分にわたって接着する（図８）。２３は内側接着部で、弱い接着とし、２４は外側接着部で、強い接着とする。密封用フィルム１５は接着温度によって接着強度が強くなる素材を用いることが望ましい。
補強用機能を有する剥離用フィルム１６は、フランジ部１２の下面の幅及び長さを有する額縁形状に形成されており（図９）、４辺が連続している。剥離用フィルム１６の一部には、フランジ部１２より外方へ張り出した剥離開始部２１が設けられている。例示の剥離開始部２１は、角に当たる位置に２箇所指先状に形成されており、剥離用フィルム１６の幅よりも幅広に設けられかつ張り出した部分の付け根に切り込み２２を有していて、剥離用フィルム１６を切り込み２２の位置で確実に横に分断し、縦に剥離が進行し得るようになっている。剥離開始部２１には目立つように着色を施しても良い。
図９の剥離用フィルム１６は、図１０に示すように、伏せたパック容器１１に対して、剥離用フィルム１６の上から高温のヒーターで押すことにより接着することができる。なお、このパック容器１１のフランジ部１２には切り離し線１９ａとブリッジ部１９ｂが既に形成されている。図１０の剥離用フィルム１６をフランジ部１２に接着したパック容器１１に、豆腐、こんにゃく等の被包装物２５を包装するものであるが（図１１）、包装工程については、図３０を参照して後に詳述する。上記においては豆腐製造業者が個々に本発明のパック容器１１を生産する工程の一部として、既存のパック容器１１に剥離用フィルム１６を接着する例に言及しているが、容器メーカーにおいて本発明を実施する工程については後述する。
図１２〜図１４は、これまでに述べた剥離開始部２１を外方へ張り出して設けた密封容器１０の開封方法を示している。開封開始時には剥離開始部２１を指先で摘んで下方へ引き、ノッチ状の切り込み２２にて剥離用フィルム１６を分断し（図１３）、弱接着部（１７、１８）をフランジ部１２に沿って縦に剥がして行く。剥離用フィルム１６を全部剥がして取り除くと、切り離し線１９ａとブリッジ部１９ｂが露出するので（図１３は裏面を示している。）、破断部１９のブリッジ部１９ｂを破断しながら密封用フィルム１５を剥がすことができる。ブリッジ部１９ｂが破壊されると、上面内側の弱接着部分２３で密封用フィルム１５が接着しているだけであるから、フランジの全幅に亘って完全接着していた従来の密着用フィルムを剥がすのに必要な力と比較すると、２分の１以下の力で開封できることとなる。
剥離開始部２１は、これまでの図１〜図１４の例のように外方へ張り出す形式の場合、対角線状に２箇所と限らず図１５に示すようにただ１箇所でも全周を剥がすことは容易である。図１６は４隅に夫々剥離開始部２１を設けたもので、長短４辺を別々に剥がすことができる例を示す。また図１７はパック容器１１の３辺に接着するほぼＣ字型に形成した剥離用フィルム１６′の例であり、先端に、パック容器１１のフランジ部１２より外方へ張り出した剥離開始部２１を形成している。図１８はパック容器１１の２辺に接着するほぼＬ字型の剥離用フィルム１６″の例である。
さらに剥離開始部は、これまでの例と異なりフランジ部１２より内方へ張り出した構成とすることができる。図１９〜図２３は内方張り出しの諸例を示す。図１９〜図２１は、剥離用フィルム１６の角ではなく辺部の中間位置に設けた剥離開始部３１の例示であり、剥離に方向性を与えるために斜めに張り出させ、かつ斜めの切り込み３２をその付け根に設けている。なお、以下の説明において、第１の例と共通する構成については、符号を援用し、詳細な説明を繰り返さない。剥離開始部３１の数や位置は任意に変更可能であり、図２２には１個だけ剥離開始部３１を有する例、図２３には４辺に各１個ずつ計４個の剥離開始部３１を有する例を示している。
これまでの例では、角型のパック容器１１を対象とした例のみ説明して来たが、円型のパック容器にも本発明を適用可能であり、その場合を剥離用フィルム３６の例示によって説明すると図２４〜図２７のようになる。円型パック容器の開口を密封する密封用フィルムも、図１〜図８に示したのと同様にパック容器に接着される。図２４は、円型リング状の剥離フィルム３６にただ１個だけ外向きの剥離開始部４１を傾斜状に設けた例であり、全体を一時に剥がすことができ、図２５の例は１８０度間隔で２個外向きの剥離開始部４１を設けた例を示す。４２は切り込み部であり、同様に傾斜している。
図２６は、円型パック容器用の円型リング状の剥離用フィルム３６の例であり、ただ１個の内向きの剥離開始部５１を傾斜状に設けている。５２は切り込み部を示す。図２７
は、円型リング状の剥離用フィルム３６に等間隔で３個の内向きの剥離開始部５１を傾斜状に設けた例を示す。
剥離開始部２１、３１、４１、５１を有する剥離用フィルム１６、１６′、１６″、３６を製造するには、その形状に作られた刃物で打ち抜けばできるが、打ち抜いた剥離用フィルム１６…を使用することは、既存のパック容器を使用して本発明のパック容器１１を製造する場合には有効である。特にフランジ部１２の外側についた剥離開始部２１、４１の剥離用フィルム１６…の場合、容器メーカーで量産するには非常に複雑な装置が必要となるため、上記の方式が有効である。
上記において使用するフィルムは、いずれもいわゆるイージーオープン或いはイージーピールなどと称されるフィルムを使用することが望ましい。このようなフィルムは表面が熱に強く破れにくいポリエチレンテレフタレート（ＰＥＴ）やポリエステル（ＵＰ）等のフィルムから成り、裏面には接着面として使用されるシーラントフィルム（例えば密封用フィルム１５には東セロ社製ＣＭＰＳ０１３Ｃや剥離用フィルムには同ＣＭＰＳ２０１Ｃ）等のフィルムから成る貼り合わせフィルムが適する。上記は例示であり、要するに破れに対して強度のあるフィルムと接着手段となるフィルムの複合フィルム、或いは破れ強度と接着性能を併有するフィルムであれば、温度変化によるそれぞれの特性を利用して、密封用フィルム１５や剥離用フィルム１６…として使用することができる。
図３０は包装工程を示すもので、内側接着部用第１ヒーター６３と外側接着部用第２ヒーター６４が、接着を終えて上に持ち上がった時のものである。６１は容器を乗せるバケット、６２は緩衝用のゴムを示す。バケット６１は１工程毎に矢印の向きに従って（Ｂ）から（Ｃ）へ、（Ｃ）から（Ｄ）へと進む。６５は密封用フィルム１５のガイド用ローラーを示す。パック容器１１が（Ｂ）の位置のときは、パック容器１１と密封用フィルム１５とは接着していないが、（Ｃ）の位置の時には密封用フィルム１５と内側接着部２３の部分が弱接着している。Ｄ）に来るとフランジ部１２の上面の外側接着部２４の形成の工程となり、強い接着の形成が行われるが、剥離用フィルム１６との接着は強くならない。第１ヒーター６３は内側接着部２３だけではなく、フランジ部１２の全体を接着させても良い。この第１ヒーター６３と第２ヒーター６４は前後を入れ換えても差し支えない。
本発明に係る開封容易な密封容器の製造では、包装工程の直前でこの容器を製造（市販の普通容器の改造）する場合と、予め容器メーカーで製造する場合の、２通りの方法が考えられる。まず、市販の普通容器を改造して本発明の密封容器を作る場合は、加工機の刃物によってパック容器１１のフランジ部１２に破断部１９を形成し、パック容器１１を伏せた上から、別の加工機の刃物で打ち抜かれた剥離用フィルム１６…をかぶせ、ヒーターによって接着させる。その後、容器の中に物が入っていない場合は物を入れ、密封用フィルム１５を使用して再度図３０の包装機で包装し、本発明を適用した容器入り製品を作製する。
容器メーカーで製造する場合は、前記のように１個づつ製造してもよいが経費が非常に掛かる点問題である。そこで原反シートを成形機で横一列例えば１０個位づつ成形し、その後１列づつ外縁を打ち抜いて容器を作る際、成形された容器が伏せられた状態で出て来るのを利用し、この成形機と打ち抜き機との間に、成形された容器のフランジ部１２に破断部１９を横１列１０個形成する装置において破断部１９を形成し、その上に剥離用フィルム５３の原反に同じく横１列１０個、中だけ打ち抜く装置でフィルムを打ち抜き（角
型、図２８、丸型、図２９）、成形され破断部を形成されたパック容器１１が進むにつれ剥離用フィルム１６がパック容器１１にはまり込むようにし、さらに熱ヒーターによって成形品と剥離用フィルム１６が一体化した後、打ち抜き機によって成形シートと剥離用フィルム１６を一緒に打ち抜くことによって、大量に安く作ることができる。５４は切断予定線を示す。ただし、フランジ部１２の外側に剥離開始部２１、４１があると、パック容器１１の打ち抜きと剥離用フィルム１６の打ち抜きで寸法が異なるため技術的に大変難しくなる。ところが内側の剥離開始部３１、５１の場合には打ち抜き寸法が同じなので、簡単であるばかりでなく、打ち抜き型等変更の必要がないためさらに安く製造できる利点がある。
上記のように、本発明に係る開封容易な密封容器では、パック容器のフランジ部が内側部分と外側部分とに最初から切れているのでどんなに柔軟な材質でも使用でき、また、硬い材質でも同じように作れることができる。さらに本発明によればプラスチック製の容器ばかりではなく、アルミ箔容器や紙製容器、木材から作った合板容器等あらゆる材質の容器に応用することができる。

Claims (3)

  1. プラスチック製パック容器の開口を密閉するために、開口を囲んでいるフランジ部に密封用フィルムを接着した構成を有する密封容器であって、フランジ部を、開口寄りの内側部分と周縁寄りの外側部分との内外２部分に分離可能な構造とし、フランジ部の下面に剥離用フィルムを接着し、剥離用フィルムの一部にフランジ部より外方又は内方へ張り出した剥離開始部を設け、剥離用フィルムをフランジ部に沿って剥離することにより、フランジ部を内外２部分に分離した切り離し線と、内外２部分を連絡しているブリッジ部とを露出可能にしたことを特徴とする開封容易な密封容器。
  2. パック容器は、ポリエチレンテレフタレート、ポルエステル、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン又はこれらと同効の素材より成る請求項１記載の開封容易な密封容器。
  3. 剥離開始部はその張り出した部分の付け根に、切り込みを有している請求項１記載の開封容易な密封容器。
