本発明は、例えば自動二輪車のメインスタンド等の枢支部と一対の脚部等を備えた車両用部品に関する。

従来、自動二輪車のメインスタンドとして、図8に示すような形態のものが知られている。
このメインスタンド51は、車体側の支持軸等に回動自在に嵌合されるピボットパイプ52と、このピボットパイプ52の両端部に溶接止めされて斜め方向に延出する左右一対のスタンドパイプ53、53と、左右のスタンドパイプ53、53の中間部に溶接止めされて両者を連結するクロスパイプ54と、左右のスタンドパイプ53、53の基端側に溶接止めされるスタンドストッパ55を備えており、ピボットパイプ52の上部には、ストッパプレート56が溶接止めされている。

そしてスタンドパイプ53の下端面には、トレッドプレート57が取付けられるとともに、左側のスタンドパイプ53の下部には、パッチ材58を介してトレッドバー59が固定され、また上部には、キーロックヒンジ60が固定されている。更に右側のスタンドパイプ53には、スプリングフック61が固定され、これらトレッドプレート57、パッチ材58、トレッドバー59、キーロックヒンジ60、スプリングフック61はいずれも溶接止めされている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
ところで、このような従来構造のメインスタンドは、溶接で固定する部品点数が多く、接合作業に工数を要するという問題がある。

本発明は上記問題点に鑑みなされたものであり、その目的は、必要な強度等を確保した上で、溶接部品を少なくし接合作業を削減することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するため本発明は、スタンドの製造方法として、金属製棒状素材の中間部を曲げ軸まわりに折曲げて略くの字型或いは略コの字型に曲げて左右一対の脚部を成形した後、この曲げ成形品の中間部に前記曲げ軸方向から圧縮荷重を加えて左右の脚部の中間に偏平部を成形し、この偏平部と両脚部の境界部附近を、前記曲げ軸に直交する線と平行な折返し軸周りに丸曲げして筒形状に成形するとともに、偏平部の先端側を両脚部の間に向けて延出させ、この延出部の少なくとも一部を両脚部の所定箇所に接合するようにした。

このように筒部と左右の脚部と補強部を単一の金属棒状素材で一体に成形すれば、部品点数が集約され、溶接工程を削減することが出来る。
ここで金属材料は、鋼管等が適用されるが、それ以外の材質のものでも良く、中実素材でも良い。

そして、偏平部に形成した筒形状を車体側の支持軸に揺動自在に嵌合させる筒部とし、この筒部に連なる両延出部を脚部にするとともに、偏平部の一部を脚部に接合して補強部とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
本発明の実施の形態について添付した図面に基づき説明する。
ここで図1は本発明に係る車両用部品の適用例を示す二輪車のスタンドの正面図、図2は同側面図、図3は図1のA−A線断面図、図4乃至図7は本発明に係る製造方法の工程図である。

本発明に係る車両用部品は、図1及び図2に示すような自動二輪車のメインスタンド1に適用され、1本のスチールパイプから成形されたスタンド本体2と、このスタンド本体2の所定部に取付けられる各種附属部品を備えており、前記スタンド本体2は、車体側に連結される筒部2qと、この筒部2qの両端から略ハの字型の形状で延出する左右一対の脚部2s、2sと、この脚部2s、2sを補強する補強部2rを備えている。

また前記各種附属部品は、筒部2qの上部に溶接で固定されるストッパプレート3と、左の脚部2sに溶接で固定されるパッチ材4及びトレッドバー5と、右の脚部2sに溶接で固定されるスプリングフック6等から構成されている。

前記スタンド本体2の筒部2qと脚部2sと補強部2rは、前述のように1本のスチールパイプから一体成形されているが、その成形は、スチールパイプを再結晶温度以上に加熱して加工する熱間圧造によって、図4乃至図7に示すような加工工程を踏んで成形される。

すなわち、図4に示すように、パイプPの中間部を曲げ軸z周りに折曲げて略くの字型の曲げパイプPを成形した後、図5に示すように、曲げ部周辺に曲げ軸z方向から圧縮荷重を加えて、2ヵ所のパイプ部Pp、Ppの中間に偏平部Phを成形する。

次いで、図6に示すように、偏平部Phの基端側を折返し軸x周りに丸曲げして筒形状を成形する。
ここで折返し軸xは、前記曲げ軸zに直交し、且つ、両パイプ部Pp、Ppの端部を結ぶ線aと平行な軸である。

そして、偏平部Phは筒形状を形成した後、図7に示すように、所定形状に折り曲げられながら先端部がくの字型の両パイプ部Pp、Ppの間に入り込むよう折返され、接合部が両パイプ部Pp、Ppに溶接で固着される。
このような方法で、偏平部Phの筒形状が図1、図2の筒部2qとされ、くの字型の両パイプ部Pp、Ppが図1、図2の脚部2s、2sにされるとともに、偏平部Phの延出部が図1、図2の補強部2rとされてスタンド本体2が成形される。

また、以上のようなスタンド本体2は、熱間圧造で成形されるため、金属材料の結晶粒の微細化、組織の均一化が図られ、機械的強度を向上させることが出来る。

以上のようなスタンド本体2は、図8に示す従来の左右のスタンドパイプ53と、ピボットパイプ52と、クロスパイプ54と、スタンドストッパ55が一体化されているため、部品点数が少なくなり、溶接作業工数を削減することが可能である。
尚、本実施形態においては、パイプPをスチールパイプで成形しているが、パイプPの材質はスチールパイプ以外のものでも良く、またパイプ以外の中実素材でも良い。またパイプPを曲げる際、略コの字型に成形するようにしても良い。

尚、本発明は以上のような実施形態に限定されるものではない。本発明の特許請求の範囲に記載した事項と実質的に同一の構成を有し、同一の作用効果を奏するものは本発明の技術的範囲に属する。
例えば本発明は、二輪車の後輪用のスイングアームや、四輪バギー車その他の車輪懸架用スイングアーム等、揺動枢支部(筒部)と一対の脚部を有する部品にも同様に適用することが出来る。

【発明の効果】
以上のように本発明は、車体側の支持軸に揺動自在に嵌合し得る筒部と、この筒部の両端部から直角或いは斜め方向に延出する左右一対の脚部と、これら脚部の所定箇所を連結する補強部を単一の金属製棒状素材から一体に成形するようにし、部品点数が集約され、溶接工程を削減することが出来、熱間圧造で一体成形する場合において、請求項のような方法で成形すれば、1本の金属製棒状素材から効率的に成形出来る。
