Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a handrail connector.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, the following are known as this type of handrail coupler.
It is known that a first member to which a handrail is connected and a second member to which a handrail is connected, and the first member and the second member are connected to each other by a connecting pin so as to be bent up and down ( Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 10-61139).
The conventional handrail connector has an advantage that it can cope with the connection between a horizontal handrail and an inclined handrail corresponding to the inclination of the staircase that is different for each construction site.
[0003]
[Disadvantages of the prior art]
The conventional handrail connector has the following drawbacks.
Since the first member and the second member were connected by a connecting pin so that they could be bent, they could only be bent in a direction (vertical direction) perpendicular to the axis of the connecting pin. There is a drawback that it is difficult or impossible to connect the handrails when they are not aligned in a straight line when viewed from the plane due to errors or the like.
[0004]
[Means for eliminating the above-mentioned drawbacks]
The present invention employs the following means in order to eliminate the above disadvantages.
The present invention has a first member to which a handrail is connected and a second member to which a handrail is connected, and one of the first member and the second member has a convex member made of a part of a spherical surface. The other has a concave member that fits and fits to the convex member, the convex member and the concave member are hollow, and a through hole is formed in the hollow convex member and the hollow concave member. A rising portion is provided at the edge of the through hole on the inner surface, and the tip of the rising portion is formed as a curved edge parallel to the outer surface made of the spherical surface of the convex member, and the through hole of the convex member and the through hole of the concave member The connecting pin is movably fitted in an arbitrary direction, the retaining member at one end of the connecting pin is brought into contact with the curved edge of the rising portion, and the retaining member at the other end contacts the spherical inner surface of the recess member. It is made to touch.
[0005]
【The invention's effect】
The present invention has the following effects by the configuration as described above.
(1) The handrails can be connected even when the handrails to be connected are not aligned in a straight line when viewed from the plane due to construction errors or the like.
(2) Since the curved edge of the rising portion, that is, the retaining member approaches the center of the spherical surface of the convex member formed of a part of the spherical surface, the convex member and the concave member are ultimately moved by moving the convex member with respect to the connecting pin. When the angle between the retaining member and the spherical inner surface of the hollow convex member is in direct contact, the distance by which the retaining member moves in sliding contact with the curved edge of the rising portion is changed. The angle between the convex member and the concave member can be changed by shortening and reducing the labor.
[0006]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Embodiments of the invention will be described below.
In this description, upper means the upper side of FIG. 1, lower means the lower side of the figure, left means the front side of FIG. 1 and right means the back side.
[0007]
The handrail connector 1 includes a first member 3 to which a handrail 2 having an arbitrary cross section, for example, a circular cross section, is connected, and a second member 4 to which the handrail 2 is connected.
One of the first member 3 or the second member 4, specifically, the first member 3 has a convex member 6 made of a part of a spherical surface, and the other, specifically, the second member 4 is a convex member. 6 has a concave member 7 having a concave surface to be aligned and fitted. The convex member 6 and the concave member 7 are fitted and connected so as to be bendable in any direction by means described in detail below.
[0008]
The convex member 6 and the concave member 7 are formed in a hollow shape, and a long through hole 9 is formed in the hollow convex member 6 in the vertical direction, and a long through hole 13 is formed in the hollow concave member 7 in the vertical direction. A rising portion 19 is provided at the edge of the through-hole 9 on the inner surface of the hollow convex member 6, and the tip of the rising portion 19 is formed as a curved edge parallel to the outer surface made of the spherical surface of the convex member 6. Yes.
A connecting pin 11 having a diameter d is fitted in the through hole 9 of the convex member 6 and the through hole 13 of the concave member 7 so as to be freely movable in any direction, and the retaining member 10 at one end of the connecting pin 11 is connected to the rising portion 19. The retaining member 14 at the other end is brought into contact with the curved inner edge so as to contact the spherical inner surface of the concave member 7. The fact that the connecting pin 11 is fitted in the through holes 9 and 13 so as to be movable in an arbitrary direction means that the vertical length and the left and right length of the through holes 9 and 13 are longer than the diameter d of the connecting pin 11. means.
With such a configuration, the curved edge of the rising portion 19, that is, the retaining member 10 approaches the center of the spherical surface of the convex member 6 that is a part of the spherical surface. When the angle between the convex member 6 and the concave member 7 is ultimately changed, the retaining member 10 rises compared to the case where the retaining member 10 directly contacts the inner surface of the hollow convex member 6. It is possible to change the angle formed by the convex member 6 and the concave member 7 by shortening the distance moved by sliding contact with the 19 curved edges and reducing labor.
In addition, the upper and lower portions of the curved edge of the rising portion 19 are configured to escape the retaining member 10 so that the connecting pin 11 can move in the entire vertical range of the through hole 9.
[0009]
With the above configuration, the convex member 6 and the concave member 7 are connected in other words so that the first member 3 and the second member 4 can be bent in any direction. Note that the first member 3 and the second member 4 can be folded up to 90 degrees in the vertical direction (including almost 90 degrees, the same applies hereinafter) (that is, the first member 3). The longitudinal center line of the handrail 2 fitted to the second rail 4 and the longitudinal center line of the handrail 2 fitted to the second member 4 can be folded so as to form 90 degrees with each other. It can be bent from the state to the left and right sides within an angle range of about 10 degrees. However, the bending angle is completely arbitrary.
By the way, the connecting pin 11 is movable up and down by a predetermined length in the vertical direction with respect to both the convex member 6 and the concave member 7, that is, when considering the connecting pin 11 as a reference, the convex member 6. And the concave member 7 can move up and down with respect to the connecting pin 11, so that the connecting pin 11 can be moved up and down by a predetermined length only in either the convex member 6 or the concave member 7 in the vertical direction. Compared with the case where it has, the ratio of the fitting of the convex member 6 and the concave member 7 can be reduced, and the first member 3 and the second member 4 can be bent so as to form 90 degrees. That is, in FIG. 1, assuming that the connecting pin 11 is fixed to the convex member 6, for example, the connecting pin 11 can only move up and down along the through hole 13 of the concave member 7. 11 is formed on the convex member 6, and the proportion of the fitting between the convex member 6 and the concave member 7 is reduced by the amount that can move up and down along the through hole 9. Can be bent so as to form 90 degrees with each other.
[0010]
The first member 3 and the second member 4 are formed with a fitting recess 16 into which the end portion of the handrail 2 is fitted, and is formed of a protrusion having an arbitrary shape in which the end surface of the handrail 4 hits the inner portion of the fitting recess 16. A stopper 17 is provided.
The handrail 4 is inserted into the fitting recess 16 to a position where it hits the stopper 17, and then a screw (not shown) is screwed through a screw insertion hole (not shown) formed in the first member 3 and the second member 4. It is fixed to the first member 3 and the second member 4 by screwing into the first member 3 and the second member 4. Needless to say, the handrail 2 may be fixed to the first member 3 and the second member 4 with an adhesive or the like.
[0011]
[Modifications]
A description will be given below of modifications and the like.
(1) The connecting pin 11 and the retaining member 10 may be separate members, and the connecting pin 11 and the retaining member 10 may be assembled and connected.
(2) An annular sliding member for improving the sliding of both may be interposed between the convex member 6 and the concave member 7 in a state of being fitted to the connecting pin 11. Needless to say, the sliding member is sized so as not to be fitted into the through holes 9 and 13.
(3) Needless to say, the handrail connector 1 can be used as a handrail connector at the corner of a staircase.
(4) Needless to say, the handrail connector 1 can be used as a handrail connector other than stairs.
(5) The material of the handrail connector 1 is arbitrary, such as synthetic resin or metal.
