例えば、自動車用シート等においては、長時間着座していると足が疲れるため、シートクッションの前方部にオットマンのような休憩用の足載置部をセットして対処していた。しかしながら、オットマン等は使用しない時には邪魔になるために通常はトランクルーム等へ収納しておく必要があり、使用毎に取り出してセットするのは煩わしいという問題点があった。

本発明は上記のような従来の問題点を解決して、クッションの長さを自在に調整することができるとともに、シートの着座面に凹部が生じることもなくまた尻下直下の座面形状が変化することもなく優れた座り心地およびデザイン性を発揮することができる車両用シートを提供することを目的として完成されたものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の課題を解決するためになされた本発明の車両用シートは、シートクッションフレームの前端に前後動自在な受部材を設けてこれらの上面に前記受部材の前端より張出する長さのクッション体を載装し、この受部材の前端より張出したクッション体の先方余裕部を前記受部材の前端より裏側に向けU字状に折り返してなり、前記受部材を進退動させて受部材の前端位置を変えることによりクッション体の折返位置が前後してシートクッションの有効長さが調節されるようにした車両用シートであって、前記クッション体は、クッションパッドよりもシートカバーの前後長さが長くてこのシートカバーの前端がクッションパッドの前端より張出されたもので、このシートカバーの張出端部を後方に連結することによりクッション体の先方余裕部の折返端部が後方に向くようにしてあり、また、受部材の下部に指示棒およびブラケットが一体に取り付けられていて、シートカバーの張出端部が指示棒を介して折り返された後ブラケットに固定されたものとしてあり、前記受部材が前後動すると指示棒およびブラケットも同時に前後動することを特徴とするものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下に、図面を参照しつつ本発明の好ましい実施の形態を示す。
図面は、本発明を自動車のリヤシートに適用した場合を示すものであり、図中1はシートクッションであり、フレームに載装支持されるクッション体2はポリウレタンフォームなどのクッション材よりなるクッションパッド4をシートカバー3で覆ったもので、以上の構成は従来のこの種の車両用シートと殆ど変わることはないが、本発明では、シートクッションフレームの前端に受部材10を前後動自在に設ける一方、この受部材10が設けられたシートクッションフレーム上に載装されるクッション体2は、その長さを前記受部材10の前端よりも相当長さだけ前方に張出する長さの長いものとしておき、前記受部材10の前端より張出したクッション体2の先方余裕部2aを前記受部材10の前端より裏側に向けU字状に折り返したものとしている。そして、前記した受部材10を進退動させて受部材10の前端位置を替えるとクッション体2の折返位置が前後するので、これによりシートクッションの有効長さが調節され、受部材10を前進させたときにはクッション体2の先方余裕部2aが前方に押し出されてこの先方余裕部2aの一部表側に延出されることとなり、このシートクッション1の前縁の延出部分を足載置用の補助クッション部として利用できるように構成されている。

なお、図示例における前記したクッション体2は、クッションパッド4よりもシートカバー3が長くてこのシートカバー3の前端がクッションパッド4の前端より張出カバー部3aとして張出されたものとしてあり、また、このシートカバー3は、若干の伸縮性を有する一般的な織物布で形成されてU字状に屈曲したクッションパッド2aの先端部形状を保持するように後方側へ連結されたものとなっている。
また、図示例では受部材10の下部に指示棒5およびブラケット7が一体に取り付けられており、シートカバー3の張出端部が指示棒5を介して折り返された後ブラケット7に固定されたものとしてある。そして、前記受部材10が前後動すると指示棒5およびブラケット7も同時に前後動し、クッション体2の折返位置が前後するので、これによりシートクッションの有効長さが調節され、受部材10を前進させたときにはクッション体2の先方余裕部2aが前方に押し出されてこの先方余裕部2aの一部表側に延出されることとなり、このシートクッション1の前縁の延出部分を足載置用の補助クッション部として利用できるように構成されている。

なお、前記水平板11の先端部は、例えば弾性を有するゴム等の中実体11aで覆ってあり、足を載せた場合において水平板11があることによる違和感を生じないようにしてある。また、図示例では、足載置用の補助クッション部をシートクッション1の中央部にのみ形成するように前後動自在な受部材10をシートクッションフレームの前端に設けたものとしているが、シートクッション1の前方部全体が前へ延びる構造のものとしてもよいことは勿論である。

このように構成したものは、シートクッション1を形成するクッション体2の先端部をU字状に屈曲し、このクッション体2の折返端部を後方へ向けるようにシートカバー3の折返端部をブラケット7に連結しておくとともに、該クッション体2の先方余裕部2aをシートクッションフレームの前端に前後動自在に設けた受部材10の前縁より裏側に向けU字状に折り返しててあるので、図1に示されるように、通常状態では受部材10が最後部に位置してシートクッション1の先端部も通常の着座位置を保つ普通のシート形状を保っているが、シートクッション1の長さを変えて足載置部を形成したい場合は、モータ(図示せず)を駆動させてロッド13bを前進させると、図2に示されるように、水平板11が前進してクッションパッド2の折り曲げ部を徐々に減少させつつ結果として前側へせり出すことになる。この結果、シートクッション1の先端部には、図5に示されるように、一連に続いた足載せ用の補助クッション部が簡単に形成されることとなる。しかも、クッション体2の先端部は受部材10の下部に一体に取り付けられている指示棒5およびブラケット7により張設されて常時緊張状態にあるシートカバー3で覆われているため、形状がくずれることもなく、また、シートカバー3にシワ等を発生させることもないので、優れた外観を呈することとなる。

よって本発明は従来の問題点を一掃した車両用シートとして、産業の発展に寄与するところは極めて大である。
