Description

【0001】
【0051】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a head protection airbag device mounted on a vehicle, and more specifically, an airbag is folded and stored on an upper edge side of an opening inside a vehicle at a side of a backrest portion of a seat, and an inflating gas. The present invention relates to a head protection airbag device that is deployed and inflated so as to cover an opening when inflowing.
[0002]
[Prior art and its problems]
In the conventional head protection airbag device, as described in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2000-335356, the airbag is folded and stored on the upper edge side of an opening such as a door on the inside of the vehicle, and the inflation gas At the time of inflow, the vehicle expanded and expanded so as to cover the opening inside the vehicle.
[0003]
However, if the airbag is configured so that the length in the vertical direction is increased and the opening on the inside of the vehicle can be covered widely as the shape when deployment is completed, the seat backrest, particularly when deployed There is a possibility that the airbag may interfere with the expansion and inflation of the airbag by interfering with the upper end portion on the side surface side of the backrest portion.
[0004]
The present invention solves the above-mentioned problems, and even if the airbag is configured to cover the opening on the inner side of the vehicle, the airbag can be smoothly deployed while suppressing interference with the backrest portion of the seat. An object of the present invention is to provide a head protection airbag device that can be inflated.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the head protection airbag device according to the present invention, the airbag is folded and stored on the upper edge side of the opening on the inner side of the vehicle on the side of the backrest portion of the seat, and is deployed and inflated so as to cover the opening when inflating gas flows in. A head protection airbag device including an airbag to perform,
The airbag includes a gas inflow portion for allowing the inflation gas to flow in, and a peripheral portion surrounding the gas inflow portion,
The gas inflow portion is partitioned into a partition coupling portion in which a vehicle inner wall portion and a vehicle outer wall portion are combined, and a plurality of the gas inflow portions are arranged in parallel in the front-rear direction. And an inflatable portion that inflates so as to separate the vehicle outer wall portion,
The inflating part arranged on the side of the backrest part is configured as a lower end displacement inflating part that causes the lower end to be positioned above the lower end of the other general inflating part, and is configured to prevent interference with the upper end part of the backrest part. ,
The gas inflow portion includes a front seat inflow portion and a rear seat inflow portion disposed so as to cover the lateral openings of the front seat and the rear seat,
The lower end displacement inflating portion is disposed in the front seat inflow portion and the rear seat inflow portion so as to correspond to the backrest portions of the front seat and the rear seat, respectively.
The lower end displacement expansion portion of the front seat inflow portion has a width dimension in the front-rear direction set to be larger than a width dimension in the front-rear direction of the lower end displacement expansion portion of the rear seat inflow portion. Do.
[0006]
When the airbag is deployed flat in a non-inflated state, a portion of a peripheral edge below the lower end displacement inflating portion is adjacent to the lower end displacement inflating portion.GeneralIt is desirable to form so that the peripheral part of the lower part of the inflating part and the height position on the lower edge side substantially coincide.
[0008]
Further, it is desirable that the airbag is configured to allow the inflation gas to flow in each of a side collision and a rollover of the vehicle.
[0009]
Note that the front-rear direction and the up-down direction in this specification correspond to the front-rear direction and the up-down direction of the vehicle when the airbag device is mounted on the vehicle.
[0010]
【The invention's effect】
In the head protection airbag device according to the present invention, when the folded airbag flows in the inflation gas to complete the deployment and inflation, the lower end displacement inflating portion has its lower end placed on the other end.GeneralIt arrange | positions above a lower end of an expansion part, and it expand | swells so that it may not interfere with the upper end part in the backrest part of a sheet | seat. And otherGeneralSince the inflatable portion can be deployed and inflated so that the lower end is disposed below the upper end of the seat back and covers the vehicle interior opening, the entire airbag can be fully deployed without any problem. be able to.
[0011]
Therefore, in the head protection airbag device according to the present invention, even if the airbag is configured to cover the opening on the inside of the vehicle, the airbag is smoothly deployed while suppressing interference with the seat back portion. Can be inflated.
In addition, the front seat is configured so that it can be moved and adjusted longer in the front-rear direction than the rear seat, and even if the front seat is moved and adjusted in the long range in the front-rear direction, Since the lower end displacement expansion part is formed with a width dimension in the front-rear direction larger than the lower end displacement expansion part of the rear seat inflow part, the lower end displacement expansion part of the front seat inflow part expands and expands. However, the lower end of the lower end displacement inflating portion hardly interferes with the upper end portion of the backrest portion of the front seat that has been adjusted for movement. Therefore, the airbag apparatus according to the first aspect can be smoothly operated even when the airbag apparatus is mounted on a vehicle having a front seat and a rear seat.
[0012]
AndClaim 2If the lower end of the lower end displacement inflating part is located above the lower end of the other general inflating part when the airbag is deployed and inflated, The peripheral edge part on the side interferes with the upper end part of the backrest part and is bent, so that the height part on the lower edge side is substantially matched with the peripheral edge part on the lower side of the adjacent general inflating part as much as possible. Therefore, a tension along the front-rear direction can be generated on the lower edge side of the airbag, and the airbag at the time of completion of deployment is subjected to a pressing force toward the inside or outside of the vehicle. However, swinging is suppressed and the occupant can be restrained accurately.
[0015]
Also,Claim 3When the vehicle is configured as described in the above, the airbag can be expanded and inflated to cover the vehicle interior opening both during a vehicle side collision and during a rollover. The airbag can accurately protect the occupant not only at the time of collision but also at the time of rollover of the vehicle.

Next, the side collision sensor 41, the rollover sensor 42, and the control device 43 are mounted on the vehicle V, and a lead wire for operating signal input (not shown) extending from the control device 43 is connected to the inflator 35. Further, the front pillar garnish 4 and the roof head lining 5 are attached to the body 1, and the rear pillar garnish 6 and the center pillar garnish 7 are attached to the body 1, so that the head protection airbag device M can be mounted on the vehicle V.
[0042]
After the air bag device M is mounted on the vehicle V, if the control device 43 inputs the side collision detection signal from the side collision sensor 41 and operates the inflator 35, the inflator 35 will cause the inflation gas G to flow. Discharge. Then, as shown by a two-dot chain line in FIG. 3, the expansion gas G flows from the connection port portion 22 a to the front side in the communication inflow portion 22 of the gas inflow portion 13, and further flows downward from the communication inflow portion 22. The inflow portions 14, 18 of the airbag 12 start to inflate while eliminating the folding. Then, the airbag 12 breaks the wrapped tape 31, and further pushes open the airbag cover 8 on the lower edge side of the front pillar garnish 4 and the roof head lining 5, along the two-dot chain line in FIGS. As shown in the figure, it expands and expands greatly so as to cover the vehicle interior I of the openings W1, W2, the center pillar portion CP, and the rear pillar portion RP while protruding downward from above the openings W1, W2.
[0043]
In the airbag apparatus M of the embodiment, the control apparatus 43 operates the inflator 35 even when the rollover detection signal from the rollover sensor 42 is input. The inflating gas G from the inflator 35 is caused to flow, the wrapped tape 31 is broken, and the airbag cover 8 on the lower edge side of the front pillar garnish 4 and the roof head lining 5 is pushed open. As shown by the two-dot chain lines of 1 and 2, it expands and expands greatly so as to cover the vehicle interior I of the openings W1, W2, the center pillar portion CP, and the rear pillar portion RP while protruding downward.
[0044]
In the airbag apparatus M according to the embodiment, when the folded airbag 12 flows in the inflation gas G to complete the deployment and inflation, the lower end displacement inflating portions 17 and 21 have the lower ends 17a and 21a. Is placed above the lower ends 16a and 20a of the other general inflating portions 16 and 20, and expands so as not to interfere with the upper end portions 9b and 10b of the backrest portions 9a and 10a of the seats 9 and 10. That is, each of the folded expansion portions 15 (16, 17), 19 (20, 21) is expanded by the expansion gas G flowing from the upper side of the communication inflow portion 22 to the lower side of the lower ends 16a, 17a, 20a, 21a. Even if the lower ends 17a and 21a of the lower end displacement inflating portions 17 and 21 are deployed and inflated downward from the upper edge side (airbag upper edge 12a side) of the openings W1 and W2, the upper ends of the vehicle seat outside seats 9a and 10a It does not interfere with the parts 9b and 10b. And other general expansion parts 16 and 20 arrange lower ends 16a and 20a below upper end parts 9b and 10b of backrest parts 9a and 10a of seats 9 and 10, and cover opening W1 and W2 inside a car widely As described above, since the airbag 12 can be deployed and inflated, the entire airbag 12 can be completely deployed without any trouble.
[0045]
Therefore, in the head protection airbag device M of the embodiment, even if the airbag 12 is configured to widely cover the openings W1 and W2 on the vehicle interior side, the interference with the backrest portions 9a and 10a of the seats 9 and 10 is possible. Thus, the airbag 12 can be smoothly expanded and inflated.
[0046]
In the airbag apparatus M according to the embodiment, when the airbag 12 is flatly deployed in the non-inflated state, as shown in FIG. 3, the part of the peripheral edge lower edge side portion 28 below the lower end displacement inflating portions 17 and 21. 28b and 28e indicate the positions 28a, 28c and 28d of the peripheral edge lower edge side portion 28 below the general expansion portions 16 and 20 adjacent to the lower end displacement expansion portions 17 and 21, and the height positions on the lower edge side in the front and rear of the vehicle V. It is formed so as to substantially match along the direction.
[0047]
Therefore, even when the lower ends 17a and 21a of the lower end displacement inflating portions 17 and 21 are disposed above the lower ends 16a and 20a of the other general inflating portions 16 and 20 when the airbag 12 has been deployed and inflated, FIG. As shown by the two-dot chain line, the portions 28b and 28e of the peripheral edge lower edge side portion 28 on the lower side of the lower end displacement inflating portions 17 and 21 interfere with the upper end portions 9b and 10b of the backrest portions 9a and 10a. While being bent to O, the lower edge side of the peripheral lower edge side portion 28 on the lower side of the adjacent general inflating portions 16a and 20a is arranged so that the lower edge side coincides with the lower edge side as much as possible in the longitudinal direction. Therefore, it is possible to generate a tension along the front-rear direction on the lower edge 12b side of the airbag 12. Therefore, even when the airbag 12 at the completion of the deployment and inflation receives a pressing force to the vehicle inner side I or the vehicle outer side O, the swinging is suppressed and the occupant can be restrained accurately.
[0048]
In particular, in the airbag 12 of the embodiment, a plurality of inflatable portions 16, 17, 20, 21 are arranged in parallel in the front-rear direction, and tension is generated in the front-rear direction of the vehicle V during deployment. In the case of the configuration, since the tension along the front-rear direction can also be generated on the lower edge 12b side of the airbag 12, the airbag 12 at the time of completion of the deployment and inflation swings toward the vehicle inner side I or the vehicle outer side O. It can suppress reliably and can restrain a passenger | crew more appropriately.
[0049]
In addition, the front seat 9 of the vehicle V is usually configured to be movable and adjustable in the front-rear direction compared to the rear seat 10, and the front seat 9 is moved and adjusted in a long range in the front-rear direction. Also, the lower end displacement inflating portion 17 of the front seat inflow portion 14 is formed with a width dimension BF in the front-rear direction larger than that of the lower end displacement inflating portion 21 of the rear seat inflow portion 18. Therefore, even if the lower end displacement expansion portion 17 of the front seat inflow portion 14 is deployed and expanded, the lower end 17a of the lower end displacement expansion portion 17 interferes with the upper end portion 9b of the backrest portion 9a of the front seat 9 that has been adjusted. Is prevented. As a result, the airbag apparatus M according to the embodiment can be smoothly operated even when the airbag apparatus M is mounted on the vehicle V including the front seats and the rear seats 9 and 10.
[0050]
Furthermore, the backrest portion 9a of the front seat 9 has a larger adjustment range of the inclination angle than the backrest portion 10a of the rear seat 10, and the inclination angle of the backrest portion 9a of the front seat 9 is adjusted to be larger. However, the airbag 12 of the head protection airbag device M of the embodiment can be easily dealt with.
[0051]
In the airbag apparatus M of the embodiment, the control device 43 that operates the inflator 35 inputs the rollover detection signal from the rollover sensor 42 that predicts the vehicle V to fall, and operates the inflator 35. It is configured. That is, in the embodiment, the airbag 12 can be expanded and inflated to cover the vehicle interior openings W1 and W2 both at the time of a side collision and rollover of the vehicle V. The airbag 12 can accurately protect the occupant not only at the time of a side collision but also at the time of rollover of the vehicle V.
[0052]
In addition, as an airbag of the head protection airbag apparatus M, an airbag 12A as shown in FIG. 6 may be used. In the airbag 12A, the partition coupling portion 29 is configured by separating the lower end 29a side from the lower edge side portion 28 of the peripheral edge portion 26 in the region of the front seat / rear seat inflow portions 14 and 18. The expansion parts 15 (16, 17) and the respective expansion parts 19 (20, 21) communicate with each other on the lower side.
[0053]
Also in this airbag 12A, the lower end displacement inflating portions 17 and 21 of the front seat and rear seat inflow portions 14 and 18 are located above the back portions 9a and 10a of the front seat and rear seats 9 and 10. The lower ends 17a and 21a are arranged above the upper end portions 9b and 10b of the backrest portions 9a and 10a. Moreover, lower end 16a * 20a of each general expansion part 16 * 20 is arrange | positioned in the lower position rather than upper end part 9b * 10b of the backrest part 9a * 10a. Further, the width dimension BF in the front-rear direction of the lower end displacement inflating portion 17 of the front seat inflow portion 14 of the airbag 12A is set larger than the width dimension BB in the front and rear direction of the lower end displacement inflating portion 21 of the rear seat inflow portion 18. Thus, the portions 28b and 28e of the lower edge side edge portion 28 below the lower end displacement expansion portions 17 and 21 are located on the lower edge side portion 28 of the lower edge portion of the general expansion portions 16 and 20 adjacent to the lower end displacement expansion portions 17 and 21. It forms so that site | part 28a * 28c * 28d and the height position of a lower edge side may correspond substantially.
[0054]
Even with such an airbag 12A, it is possible to obtain the same operations and effects as the airbag 12 of the embodiment.
[0055]
Further, in the airbag 12A, the lower end 29a of the partition coupling portion 29 adjacent to the lower end displacement inflating portions 17 and 21 is disposed above the lower end 29a of the other partition coupling portion 29, and the lower end displacement inflating portions 17 and 21 are disposed. The lower portion 28b and 28e of the lower edge side portion 28 of the lower edge of the upper and lower sides of the general inflating portion 16 and 20 are extended upward in the front-rear direction so as to extend to the lower side. Even if the movement distance of the seats 9 and 10 in the front-rear direction is increased, or the adjustment range of the inclination angle of the backrest portions 9a and 10a is increased, it can be dealt with more easily.
[0056]
Further, in the embodiment, the airbag apparatus M mounted on the vehicle V in which the front and rear seats 9 and 10 in the front and rear rows are arranged has been described, but the head protection airbag shown in FIGS. The airbag 52 may be configured to correspond to a three-row seat vehicle V1 in which an intermediate seat 49 is disposed between the front seat 9 and the rear seat 10 as in the device M1.
[0057]
Also in the airbag 52, the backrest portion 49a of the intermediate seat 49 among the inflating portions 55 of the intermediate inflow portion 54 that covers the intermediate opening W3 so as not to interfere with the upper end portion 49b on the vehicle outer side of the backrest portion 49a of the intermediate seat 49. Can be prevented from interfering with the upper end portion 49b of the backrest portion 49a as the lower end displacement inflating portion 57 that places the lower end 57a above the lower end 56a of the other general expansion portion 56. It is configured. Further, also in the airbag 52, a portion 28 g of the lower edge side portion 28 in the peripheral edge portion 26 below the lower end displacement inflating portion 57 is formed on the peripheral edge lower edge side portion 28 below the general inflating portion 56 adjacent to the lower end displacement inflating portion 57. The portions 28f and 28h are formed so as to substantially coincide with the height position on the lower edge side.
[0058]
Even with such an airbag 52, it is possible to obtain the same functions and effects as the airbags 12 and 12A.
[0059]
In the embodiment, the airbag 12 is formed by bag weaving, but the airbag may be manufactured by sewing, bonding, welding using a high-frequency welder, or the like.
