本発明は、廃棄物溶融炉で廃棄物を溶融し、生成した溶融スラグを水砕化する設備に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
一般廃棄物あるいは産業廃棄物などの廃棄物の溶融処理方法は、廃棄物をコークス、石灰石等の副原料とともに廃棄物溶融炉に装入し、廃棄物を溶融スラグとして取り出し、溶融スラグを水砕処理するもので、水砕処理では水砕水を循環させている。図2は、従来の廃棄物溶融処理における水砕水循環設備の概念図である。この図に示すように、溶融炉から約1回/時間の割合で間歇出滓した溶融スラグを水砕ピット1に流し込み、水砕水で急冷して水砕化し、水砕スラグは沈澱する。沈澱した水砕スラグは水砕ピット1から取り出される。

水砕ピット1には、水砕水が循環供給されており、水砕ピット1をオーバフローした水砕水排水は、水砕水貯留槽2に送られるが、水砕ピット1をオーバフローした水砕水排水には発泡等により軽くなった、沈澱しないSiO2 、Al2 O3 、CaOのスラグ成分等の固形物が含まれる。固形物を含んだ状態で水砕水を循環させると、ポンプの故障、配管の詰まりのもとになるので、固形物を水砕水排水から除去するために、水砕水濾過器3を介して水砕水貯留槽2に供給される。水砕水貯留槽2に一旦供給された水砕水排水は、約60℃の水温を有するので冷却するために、冷却塔循環ポンプ6で水砕水冷却塔4に送られ、約50℃に冷却され、再度、水砕水貯留槽2に供給され、冷却された水砕水は、水砕水循環ポンプ5で水砕ピット1に送られるような構造になっている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上述した水砕水循環設備において、水砕ピットから水砕水貯留槽までの配管、水砕水貯留槽から水砕水冷却塔までの配管、およびその戻り配管が長いため、それらのイニシアルコストが高く、また、それら配管内にスラジが詰まるのを防止するために常時メンテナンスが必要となる。また、水砕ピット内には沈澱しない固形物が、オーバフローした水砕水排水中に含まれており、配管内の詰まりの原因となるので、これらを除去するための濾過器、さらには、オーバフローした水砕水を一旦貯留するため水砕水貯留槽が必要となる。水砕水貯留槽にも濾過器を通過した固形物が沈澱するため、当然、これらを除去するための設備、すなわち、スクレーパやポンプ等が必要となる。

また、水砕水冷却塔は、屋外設置となるので騒音防止や建屋壁部への飛散水による汚れ、防錆塔の配慮が必要となる。以上、従来技術にあっては、設備的にイニシアルコストおよびそのメンテナンス費用が大きく、また、関連設備が多いため設備の据付スペースが広範囲となると共に、その運転のためのランニングコストも多大となるという問題がある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上述したような問題を解消するために、発明者らは鋭意開発を進めた結果、スラグを水砕処理する能力を全て水砕ピット内に集約し、非常にコンパクトな設備構成とし、関連装置やそのための配管を削減し、設備据付エリアを水砕ピット内のみにした廃棄物溶融処理におけるスラグ水砕処理設備を提供する。その発明の要旨とするところは、
(1)廃棄物をシャフト炉式熱分解溶融炉で熱分解処理し、排出された溶融物を水砕ピットで水砕処理する設備において、前記水砕ピット内に、スラグ噴射用水中ポンプとピット内の水砕水の冷却器を内設したことを特徴とする廃棄物溶融処理におけるスラグ水砕処理設備。
(2)前記(1)に記載の水砕処理設備において、水砕ピット内の冷却器近傍に流速発生用の流速発生装置を内設したことを特徴とする廃棄物溶融処理におけるスラグ水砕処理設備にある。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明について図面に従って詳細に説明する。
図1は、本発明に係る廃棄物溶融処理におけるスラグ水砕処理設備の概念図である。この図に示すように、水砕ピット1内で、予め水砕水を貯留しておき、この水砕ピット1には、溶融炉から落下してくる溶融スラグを冷却、水砕化するスラグ噴射用水中ポンプ9が内設されている。このスラグ噴射用水中ポンプ9は、水砕ピット1内の水砕水を吸い込み、ノズル(図示せず)を介して、落下してくる溶融スラグに流量約200m3 /Hで吹き付け水砕化を促進する。

また、水砕ピット1内には、約1500℃の溶融スラグの熱により高温化された水砕水を冷却するための冷却器7が内設されている。この冷却器7の構成は、例えば、蛇管方式のパイプ内部に常時30℃前後の冷却水を1m/sec程度の流速で流すようにしている。しかして、水砕ピット1内の水砕水の温度を約50℃程度に維持している。また、冷却器7の近傍には、この冷却器7の冷却能力を向上させるため流速発生装置、例えば、水中ミキサー8が配設されている。この水中ミキサー8を作用させることにより冷却器7のパイプ隙間に水の流れを形成して冷却効果を向上させるようにしている。

なお、水砕水で急冷し水砕した水砕スラグは、水砕ピット1の底部に沈澱するが、沈澱した水砕スラグは、底部に設けられた、例えばスクレーパコンベア等(図示せず)により水砕ピット1から取り出される。一方、沈澱しない固形物も水砕ピット1内に留まるため、水面上に浮遊した状態で噴射用水中ポンプ9または水中ミキサー8での水流により排出側へ押し流され、最終的には、前記スクレーパコンベアに捕捉されて水砕スラグと一緒に水砕ピット1から取り出される。

【発明の効果】
以上述べたように、本発明にあっては、スラグを水砕処理する機能を全て水砕ピット内に集約したため、従来技術には必要であった水砕水排水の濾過器および水砕水貯留槽を必要とせず、かつ、水砕水冷却塔を独立して屋外に設置する必要がなく、その結果、そのための配管を必要としない非常にコンパクトな設備構成になった。配管がないということは、配管閉塞というトラブルからも開放されることになる。以上のように、関連装置やそのための配管を削減し、設備据付エリアを水砕ピット内のみにしたため、設備費、据付費、設備ランニングコストおよびメンテナンスコストが従来技術に比べて大幅に削減出来る工業的に極めて優れた効果を奏するものである。
