本発明は正面フライス切削やエンドミル切削などに用いられるスローアウェイ回転工具の本体にシートを取り付ける構造に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
スローアウェイチップをねじにより工具の本体に取り付ける際、本体とチップとの間にシートを介在してチップの取付精度の向上や本体の破損防止を図っている。このシートの取付構造としては従来より次の▲1▼〜▲3▼のものがあった。

▲1▼シートは単に薄い直方体状で、中央にねじ孔が開いており、チップと共にチップ固定ねじで貫通されて本体に固定される。

▲2▼前記▲1▼と同様のシートに凸部が形成され、本体のチップ取付部には、この凸部が嵌合する凹部が形成されている。シートの取り付けは、凸部を凹部に嵌合し、チップとシートを共にチップ固定ねじで貫通して本体に固定する。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかし、上記の取付構造には次のような問題があった。
(1) 上記のいずれの取付構造においてもチップ交換時にシートが脱落することがある。チップ交換時にはチップ固定ねじを緩めるため、シートが脱落してフライス盤の部材の隙間などに落ち込むことがあり、チップ交換作業を煩雑なものとする。

(2) 上記▲3▼の取付構造ではシート用ねじに雌ねじを形成するため同ねじの外径が大きくなり、結果としてシート自体やチップも大型になる。

従って、本発明の主目的は、チップを本体に固定するねじを外してもシートが脱落しないような取付構造を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明は、シートに本体と嵌合する凸部を設け、この凸部をねじで締め付けることにより上記の目的を達成する。すなわち、本発明取付構造は、スローアウェイ回転工具の本体とチップとの間に介在されるシートを本体に固定するシートの取付構造において、前記シートは凸部を有し、前記本体はこの凸部に対応する凹部を具え、この凹部にはめ込まれた凸部を本体にねじ込まれたねじで締め付けて固定することを特徴とする。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を説明する。
図1は正面フライスに本発明取付構造を適用した例を示す斜視図である。このフライスは本体1に複数のチップ取付部2を具え、この取付部2の各々にチップ3が固定される。チップ3は本体1への取付精度を高めるため、本体1との間にシート4を介在して取り付けられる。チップ3とシート4はそれぞれ貫通孔5,6を具え、そこにチップ固定ねじ7をはめ込んで本体1に締め付けることで固定される。

ここで、シート1の下方にT型の凸部8を形成し、本体のチップ取付部2の下面には凸部8に対応する凹部9を形成した。このチップ取付部周辺の拡大図を図2に示す。図示のように、シートの凸部8は本体の凹部9に嵌合されている。この嵌合によりシート4を上方に外すことはできないが、チップ交換時にチップ固定ねじ7を外し、凹部9に沿ってシート4をずらせばシート4がチップ取付部2から脱落する。

凸部8の形状は、前記の説明ではT型としたが、この形状に限定されるわけではない。凹部と嵌合したときに、特定の方向(前例ではシート固定ネジの軸方向)に引き抜きできない引っ掛かりを有する形状が好ましい。例えば、蟻溝に嵌合する台形状のものなどが挙げられる。すなわち、凸部の形状は、ねじの締め付けにより、凹部に押圧される面を有する形状であればよい。

以上説明したように、本発明取付構造によれば、チップ交換時にチップを本体に固定するねじを外してもシートが脱落することを防止できる。また、チップと共にシートを貫通するねじやシート自体が大型化することもない。
