【産業上の利用分野】
本発明は、幼児用あるいは成人用のオムツに関し、とくにカバーと吸収体とが一体となった使い捨てのオムツに関する。

【従来の技術】
幼児用あるいは成人用の使い捨てオムツは、そのまま着用できるパンツ型のものと、前部、股部および後部からなる平らな形態のものとに大別される。いずれの形態のものも、基本的には、液体不透過性のバックシートと、液体透過性のトップシートとの間に吸収体を配置した構造を有しており、排泄物を有効に吸収、保持する機能を有している。

しかしながらバックシート、吸収体およびトップシートは一体的に結合されてた厚手のシートの形態であるために、着用者の運動で位置ずれ、とくに身体から離れる方向への移動が生じやすく、所期の吸収能力を十分に発揮できなかったり、漏れを生じるなどの不都合があることはよく知られている。

このような欠点を解消する目的で、伸縮性の大きいトップシートを使用するとともに、このトップシートと吸収体との間にスペースを設けるとともに、このトップシートの適所に孔を設け、これにより身体への密着性を得るとともに、排泄物を通路を通してスペースに収容するように構成したオムツが提案されている（たとえば特開平３−２０２０５６号公報）。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、特開平３−２０２０５６号公報に開示されているような構造においても、トップシートは、その少なくとも全周でバックシートと結合されているために、オムツ全体の位置ずれが生じた場合には、やはり身体の所定の位置から移動するのを避けられない。また伸縮性の大きいシート材料は、一般に液体透過性や通気性に欠けるので、このようなシートが常に肌に密着していることによる不快感を与えるという欠点もある。

本発明の目的は、着用状態での身体の運動に追従し、したがって排泄物に対する十分な吸収、保持性能を発揮するとともに、長時間にわたって快適に着用できるようにした吸収体製品を提供することである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明によれば、吸収体を内部に含まないカバー本体と、このカバー本体とは別体の吸収体と、この吸収体を前記カバー本体に取り付けている弾性支持体とを備え、前記吸収体はその両端において前記カバー本体に固着され、且つ、前記カバー本体が着用時と同じ状態におかれているときに、前記吸収体と前記カバー本体との間に空間が形成されるように、前記吸収体の少なくとも一端が前記弾性支持体を介して前記カバー本体に固着されていることを特徴とするオムツが提供される。

すなわち本発明のオムツにおいて、着用者の股部に配置された吸収体は、少なくともその一端側において、弾性体シートを介してカバー本体に吊り下げた状態で連結されている。したがって吸収体は、着用者が激しく運動したとしても、弾性体シートの伸縮により、常に身体に密着した状態で所定の位置に保持されることになり、排泄物に対する十分な吸収、保持性能を発揮し、長時間にわたって快適に着用できる。

本発明の好ましい態様において、吸収体は、適当な吸収材とその上面を覆うトップシートとを備えた構造を有し、その前後両端の少なくとも一方、好ましくは前端（オムツの着用時に身体の前側に位置する端部）側で弾性体シートを介してカバー本体に連結される。なお吸収体として、トップシートとバックシートとの間に吸収材を収容した形態のものがさらに望ましい。

あるいは吸収体は、それ自体が伸縮性を有するように構成され、その少なくとも一端側でカバー本体に連結されてもよい。このような伸縮性吸収体の一例は、合成樹脂またはゴムのようなエラストマーからなる弾性体シートに不織布を重ね、この両者を適当な間隔で線状に結合し、この両者間の非結合部分に形成されたチャンネル内に吸収材、好ましくはＳＡＰ（Ｓｕｐｅｒ Ａｂｓｏｒｂｅｎｔ Ｐｏｌｙｍｅｒ）と呼ばれている超吸収材を挿入したものである。

以下に本発明の一実施例について図面を参照して説明する。

【実施例】
図１は、本発明にしたがって構成されたオムツの斜視図である。このオムツは、液体不透過性のシートからなるカバー本体１と、このカバー本体１に支持された吸収体２と、この吸収体２の前端および後端をカバー本体１にそれぞれ連結する弾性支持体３および４とからなっている。この例では、カバー本体１として、前部、股部および後部からなる平らな形態のものを示したが、パンツ型のものであってもよい。

吸収体２は、通常のオムツや生理用品に用いられるものが使用可能であるが、望ましくはこのハンモック構造を生かす意味で、トップシートとバックシートとを備え、その間に充填された吸収体から構成され、さらにはサイドバリヤー構造をもったそれ自体独立してオムツとして機能できるような構造化された吸収体を用いることが望ましい。この吸収体２の前端には、ほぼ長方形をなす第１の弾性支持体３の一端がヒートシールのような適当な手段で結合され、この弾性支持体３の他端は、帯状の結合部３ａにおいてカバー本体１の適当な箇所に結合されている。同様に、吸収体２の後端には、第２の弾性支持体４の一端が結合され、この弾性支持体３の他端は、帯状の結合部４ａにおいてカバー本体１の適当な箇所に結合されている。すなわち吸収体本体２は、その両端に連結された弾性支持体３，４とともに帯状体Ａを構成し、この帯状体Ａがカバー本体１に吊り下げられた形態をなしている。

ここで重要なことは、図２に示すように、カバー本体１が実際の着用時と同じように曲げられた状態で、帯状体Ａが、その長さ方向の中央部がカバー本体１に接触しない位置に保持される長さを有している、ということである。したがって帯状体Ａは、吸収体２がカバー本体１と接触しない位置に、ハンモック状に保持され、そしてオムツが実際に着用されたとき、弾性支持体３，４の伸縮により、着用者の股部に密着する。

この着用状態では、吸収体２は弾性支持体３，４の伸縮性により着用者に対して所定の最適位置に保持され、着用者のいかなる運動にも位置ずれすることはない。したがって吸収体２はその吸収能力を最大限に発揮することができる。またカバー本体１が伸縮性に富んだ材料で構成されている場合には、着用者の運動によるオムツ全体としての変形がさらに大きくなるが、このような場合でも吸収体本体２の位置は変動しない。このため、従来は使用が困難であった伸縮性材料をカバー本体１に使用することが可能となり、使用感が一層優れたオムツを提供できる。

本発明において、弾性支持体３，４は、適度な弾性を有するものであれば、いかなる材料で構成することも可能であり、着用者の肌に接触する面積は小さいので、通気性である必要はない。しかし最適な材料は、図３に示すような弾性複合体シートである。この弾性複合体シートは、シート状弾性体１１と、この弾性体１１の一方の面に、第１の方向には連続的に、これと直交する第２の方向には不連続的に、結合部１３において貼合わされた不織布１２とからなり、この不織布１２は、隣接する結合部１３間で、弾性体シート１１の幅よりも広く、これにより弾性体シート１１と不織布１２との間には、互いに平行な多数のチャンネル１４が形成されている。

この弾性複合体シートは、弾性体シート１１の長さが不織布１２の長さと同じになるまで伸張させることが可能であり、しかも不織布１２の面はその材質的に、また波型の形状的に、肌に対する感触に優れ、弾性支持体３，４の材料として最適である。

シート状弾性体１１の材質としては、天然ゴム、合成ゴム等の薄層シート、ポリウレタンフィルム、ポリウレタンメルトブローン不織布、スチレン・ブタジエンブロックポリマーフィルム、ポリオレフィン系エラストマーフィルム等のシート状弾性体が使用可能であるが、コストおよび不織布との接着性等から考えると、ＥＶＡ、超低密度のＬＬＤＰＥ、エチレン・プロピレンエラストマー、エチレン・メチルアクリレートエラストマー等のポリオレフィンエラストマー、あるいはこれらと合成ゴム、スチレンエチレンブタジエン・スチレンブロックポリマー（ＳＥＢＳ）とのブレンド体、あるいはポリウレタン系エラストマーと、ポリオレフィン系エラストマーとの共押出しフィルム等が望ましい。

図４は、吸収体２と弾性支持体３，４とを一体的に構成した帯状体Ａの一例を示している。この例では、前述の弾性複合体シートとして、中央部に位置するいくつかのチャンネル１４の横断面積を大きくし、このチャンネル１４内に吸収体１５を収容させたものが使用される。このような構造によれば、弾性複合体シートは、その中央部では吸収体１２として、また両端部では弾性支持体３，４として機能する。吸収体１５として超吸収体を使用した場合には、きわめて大きい吸収能力が得られる。

弾性支持体３，４として前述のような弾性複合体シートを使用する場合、このシートはチャンネル１４の長さ方向と直交する方向には大きい伸縮性を有するが、チャンネル１４の長さ方向に関しては、使用された不織布１２の小さい伸縮性に依存する。したがって伸縮性の小さいカバー本体１の場合には、図５に示すように、吸収体２と同じ幅の弾性複合体シートを使用し、その幅全体にわたってカバー本体１に結合しても問題はない。

しかし伸縮性の大きい材料からなるカバー本体１の場合には、その伸縮性を減殺しないように、たとえば図６に示すように、弾性支持体３，４の中央部に切欠き５を設け、切欠き５以外の部分のみでカバー本体１に結合することが望ましい。すなわち切欠きの部分では弾性支持体はカバー本体１に結合されないので、カバー本体１の伸縮性が維持される。

カバー本体１の伸縮性を減殺しないように弾性支持体３，４を取り付ける他の手段は、図７に示すように、その一端から適当な長さにわたって、チャンネル１４とほぼ直交する方向に延びる複数の切込み６を適当な間隔で設け、この切込み６によって形成された複数のリップ部分の幅よりも狭い接合部７のみでスポット状にカバー本体１に接合することである。この場合には、図８に示すように、カバー本体が大きく伸張されたとき、この切込み６の幅が拡大することで、隣接する接合部７，７間ではカバー本体１は伸縮することが可能であり、カバー本体１の伸縮性を減殺するおそれはない。

【発明の効果】
以上に説明したように本発明のオムツは、吸収体が、少なくともその一端側において、弾性体シートを介してカバー本体に吊り下げた状態で連結されている。したがって吸収体は、着用者が激しく運動したとしても、弾性体シートの伸縮により、常に身体に密着した状態で所定の位置に保持されることになり、排泄物に対する十分な吸収、保持性能を発揮し、長時間にわたって快適に着用できるという効果が得られる。

Claims (9)

  1. 吸収体を内部に含まないカバー本体と、このカバー本体とは別体の吸収体と、この吸収体を前記カバー本体に取り付けている弾性支持体とを備え、前記吸収体はその両端において前記カバー本体に固着され、且つ、前記カバー本体が着用時と同じ状態におかれているときに、前記吸収体と前記カバー本体との間に空間が形成されるように、前記吸収体の少なくとも一端が前記弾性支持体を介して前記カバー本体に固着されていることを特徴とするオムツ。
  2. 前記弾性支持体が、前記吸収体の一方の端部と前記カバー本体との間に設けられている請求項１に記載のオムツ。
  3. 前記弾性支持体が、前記吸収体の両方の端部と前記カバー本体との間に設けられている請求項１に記載のオムツ。
  4. 前記弾性支持体が、弾性体シートに不織布を重ね、この両者を適当な間隔で線状に結合し、互いに隣接する前記結合部間において、前記不織布の幅を前記弾性体シートのそれよりも広くすることにより両者間に複数の互いに平行なチャンネルを形成することにより構成された弾性複合体シートである請求項１に記載のオムツ。
  5. 前記弾性支持体および前記吸収体が一連の前記弾性複合体シートで構成されている請求項４に記載のオムツ。
  6. 前記吸収体が、前記弾性複合体シートの前記チャンネル内に吸収材を収容させることにより構成されている請求項５に記載のオムツ。
  7. 前記弾性支持体が、その一端部に少なくとも１つの切欠きを有し、この切欠きを除く部分のみで前記カバー本体に接合されている請求項１〜６のいずれか１項に記載のオムツ。
  8. 前記弾性支持体が、その一端から適当な長さにわたって、前記チャンネルとほぼ直交する方向に延びる複数の切込みを有し、この切込みによって形成された複数のリップ部分の幅よりも狭い接合部のみでスポット状に前記カバー本体に接合されている請求項４〜６のいずれか１項に記載のオムツ。
  9. 前記カバー本体が伸縮性である請求項１〜８のいずれか１項に記載のオムツ。
