ものである。

【従来の技術】従来、この種の接続端子の従来例とし
て、例えば特開昭61−165970号公報に開示さ
れ、導電金属板を打ち抜き、打ち抜いた導電金属板を折
り曲げることにより製作されている。即ち、図5に示す
ように接続端子1は端子接続部2と電線圧着部3から成
り、端子接続部2は底板4と、この底板4の両側に連接
して立ち上げられた側板5、6と、これらの側板5、6
にそれぞれ連接して水平に折曲された天板7、8とによ
り囲まれ、底板4の前方から可動接触片9が端子接続部
2内に折り返されている。

の材料取りの無駄を省く接続端子が、特開平3−931
75号公報に開示されている。図6に示すように、接続
端子11の端子接続部12と電線圧着部13のうち、端
子接続部12は底板14と、側板15、16と、天板1
7とにより囲まれ、端子接続部12の内部には天板17
の側方から連結片により連結された可動接触片18が、
天板17の内側に折り返され、折り返された可動接触片
18の前端部に押さえ片19が折り返されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら上述した
第1の従来例においては、可動接触片9が底板4の前方
から折り返されているため、幅広の板材を使用しなけれ
ばならず、しかも可動接触片9の両側の材料が無駄にな
るという問題点がある。
【0005】また、第2の従来例においては、可動接触
片18が天板17側に折り返されているため、可動接触
片18が底板14側に取り付けることが必要とされる場
合には、適用できないという問題点がある。
【0006】本発明の目的は、上述した問題点を解消
し、可動接触片を底板側に取り付ける接続端子の製造方
法を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】上述の目的を達成するた
めの本発明に係る接続端子の製造方法は、底板と、該底
板の両側に連接する両側板と、これらの側板の少なくと
も一方に連接する天板と、前記側板又は天板の側方に平
行に配置して橋絡片により前記底板の先端部に連結し前
端部に突起部を設ける可動接触片と、前記底板の前端に
延在し折り返しにより前記可動接触片の突起部を固定す
る押さえ片とを1枚の導電金属板を打ち抜いて形成する
工程と、前記橋絡片を折り返えすと共に前記可動接触片
を山形状に屈曲しその頂部を前記天板側に向けて前記底
板上に重ねる工程と、前記両側板を立ち上げる工程と、
前記押さえ片を折り返して前記押さえ片に設けた係止部
により前記可動接触片の前記突起部を係止して前記可動
接触片の前端を前記底板に固定する工程と、前記天板を
水平に折曲する工程と、前記可動接触片の固定後に前記
橋絡片を切断する工程とから成ることを特徴とする。

【作用】上述の構成を有する接続端子の製造方法は、橋
絡片を用いて接触部を天板側に向けた可動接触片を、押
さえ板に設けた係止部により係止し、相手側接続端子を
天板と可動接触片の間に受け入れる。

【実施例】本発明を図1〜図4に図示の実施例に基づい
て詳細に説明する。図1は縦断面図、図2は接続部の拡
大断面図、図3は正面図である。接続端子21は、1枚
の導電金属板を折曲することにより形成され、前端には
相手側の挿込用の接続端子が挿入される端子接続部22
と、後端には電線の芯線と被覆が圧着される電線圧着部
23とが形成されている。端子接続部22は底板24
と、この底板24の両側にそれぞれ連接して立ち上げら
れた側板25、26と、これらの側板25、26にそれ
ぞれ連接して水平に折曲された天板27、28とにより
囲まれた角筒状とされている。ここで、天板28は天板
27に形成された絞り下げ部27aの上に接合されてい
る。

て可動接触片29が設けられており、この可動接触片2
