【考案の属する技術分野】
この考案は、机類や食卓テーブルなどの上に敷いてその機能や周辺環境等を改
善する機能性卓上マットに関する。

【従来の技術】
いわゆるデスクマットは事務用机等の上に広汎に敷かれているものであり、主
に筆記や押印を助けたり簡易書面等をその下に敷いて一時保存するために用いら
れている。通常、透明な軟質塩化ビニールやポリオレフィン系シート等を適当な
大きさと形状に裁断した形態をなしており、近時は表面を適宜防滑処理したもの
も使われている。

また食卓テーブル等の上にも類似のマット（シート）を敷いて、適宜な防滑性
やクッション性を与えたりテーブルを保護することも行われている。

【考案が解決しようとする課題】
このようなデスクマット状物（本願ではこれを卓上マットと称する）は、長期
使用している間に空気中の塵埃が次第に付着してゆき、また印刷物などのインキ
が転写したり調味料その他有色食品などが付着すると、なかなかそれが除去でき
ず美観を損なうと同時に、下に敷いた書面等の読取りにも支障を生じがちであっ
た。本考案はかかる問題点を改善した快適感のあるデスクマットその他卓上マッ
トを提供することを課題とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
図面のようにデスクマット状シート１の表面に透明な光触媒層２を形成して、
本考案の機能性卓上マットとし、デスクマットあるいはテーブルマットとして使
用する。

ここにおける光触媒層２とは、酸化チタンのように紫外線などの光のエネルギ
ーで分解などの化学反応を行なうのを促進する触媒作用をもつ層のことであり、
実際には超微粒子化した酸化チタンと透明バインダーからなる塗材が既に実現し
ているから、これを通常のデスクマット状シート１にコーティングすることによ
り透明な光触媒層２は容易に形成できるものである。

但しこの際、光触媒作用によって、光触媒層２のなかに含まれる透明バインダ
ーやベースの塩ビ等のデスクマット状シート１の樹脂を分解しないように、光触
媒粒子が直接これらの樹脂に接触しないような微細構造にしたハイブリッド型の
公知の塗料を用いることになる。なお、これによるコーティング層の厚さはμｍ
単位で屈曲にも耐えるから、通常のデスクマットやテーブルマットとしての性能
に支障を生じるようなことはない。

【作用】
本考案はこのような構成であるから、この表面において時とともに蓄積付着す
る大気汚染などの塵埃や、インキ類、食品等の汚れは、蛍光灯などの光が当たる
ことにより分解され、本来なかなか除去できない汚れも容易に払拭できるように
なる。従って、デスクマット及びそれが載置された机等の美観を容易に維持でき
ると同時に、下に敷いたメモなどの書面を見るのに妨げとならないような透明性
を長期にわたって保つことができる。

また、デスクマット状シート１は通常、事務所、応接室、食堂などにおいて仕
事や食事をする人体の前に広く水平に置かれているものであるから、その表面に

ＰＶＣ又はポリオレフィン系樹脂からなる単層又は複層のデスクマット状シー
ト１の表面に、酸化チタン光触媒粒子の表面に光触媒として不活性なセラミック
スを付けた酸化チタンハイブリッド光触媒粒子を透明な高分子塗料中に分散させ
た有機塗料を、薄くコーティングし硬化させてこれを透明な光触媒層２とし、所
定寸法に裁断して、本考案の機能性デスクマットを得る。
