Abstract
Description
本発明のイソシアネート成分(NCO成分)である成分Aとしては、例えば、イソシアネートモノマー、イソシアネートプレポリマー、ポリイソシアネート、又はそれらの混合物を含むポリウレタン接着剤組成物を形成する技術分野で知られている従来のイソシアネート化合物のいずれかが挙げられる。ポリイソシアネートとしては、例えば、脂肪族ポリイソシアネート、脂環式ポリイソシアネート、芳香族ポリイソシアネート、イソシアネートプレポリマー、及びそれらの2つ以上の組み合わせを挙げることができる。本明細書で使用される場合、「ポリイソシアネート」は、2つ以上のイソシアネート基を含む任意の化合物である。「脂肪族ポリイソシアネート」は、芳香族環を全く含有しないポリイソシアネートである。「脂環式ポリイソシアネート」は、化学鎖が環状構造を有する脂肪族ポリイソシアネートのサブセットである。「芳香族ポリイソシアネート」は、1つ以上の芳香族環を含有するポリイソシアネートである。
本発明において、成分Bは、(Bi)少なくとも1種のアミン開始ポリオール;(Bii)少なくとも1種の脂肪族ポリエステルポリオール;及び(Biii)少なくとも1種のポリエーテルポリオール;並びに必要に応じて他の任意の成分又は添加剤の組み合わせ、混合物又はブレンドを含むポリオール成分である。(Bi)~(Biii)の濃度は、ワンショット積層プロセスで処理することができ、良好な接着外観を有する積層体、すなわち、高い(例えば、200m/分超)積層ライン速度で気泡及びオレンジ色の剥離などの欠陥のない積層体を製造し得る接着剤組成物を製造する程度に十分に高い。本発明のSLACがこれまでに知られている無溶媒接着剤系に対して有する他の利点としては、例えば、(1)良好な接着性能、及び(2)速硬化性が挙げられる。また、本発明のSLACは、積層体から製作される包装体に好適に付与される特性である耐熱性及び耐薬品性が良好な多層積層体を製作するためのワンショット積層プロセスに有用である。
(式中、R1、R2及びR3は、それぞれ独立して有機基である。)を有する。例えば、それぞれ独立してC1~C6直鎖又は分岐アルキル基であってもよく、それぞれ独立してエーテル基及びヒドロキシル基を含んでいてもよく、それぞれ独立して第3級アミン及び第2級アミンを含むことができる。
1つの広範な実施形態では、本発明のSLACは、少なくとも1種のイソシアネート成分である成分A;少なくとも1種のポリオール成分である成分B;及び必要に応じて任意の成分又は添加剤を混合することにより調製される。一般に、本発明の反応性接着剤組成物を形成する成分A及びBの「結合」ステップは、高いライン速度(例えば、200m/分以上)で動作するワンショット積層プロセス中に行われる。ワンショット積層プロセスでは、プロセスステップを使用して、成分Aを含有する第1のフィルムを成分Bを含有する第2のフィルムと接触させて、2つの成分(共反応物)が一緒になって、第1のフィルムと第2のフィルムとの間に介在する均一で均質な反応性SLACが形成される。
広範な実施形態では、本発明の積層構造体は、少なくとも2つのフィルム層基材が、2つの基材の間に形成された接着剤層によって互いに接着又は結合した組み合わせを含み、接着剤層は、本発明のSLACを使用することによって形成される。例えば、積層構造体は、(a)第1のフィルム基材と;(b)第2のフィルム基材と、(c)層(a)及び(b)を結合するための上述のSLACの層と、を含む。必要に応じて、1つ以上の他の任意のフィルム基材を使用して、多層積層構造体を製造することができる。
本発明のSLACの利点の1つは、得られたSLACを使用して、従来公知の接着剤配合物の制限を受けずに、SLACを使用して様々な種類のフィルムを積層することによって多層フィルムを製造するのが容易にできることである。例えば、SLACは、様々なプラスチックフィルム、金属蒸着フィルム、アルミニウム箔、並びに他の金属化及びバリア積層構造体を積層するために使用し、食品、医薬品、洗剤などの包装材料に有用な複合フィルムを製造することができる。例えば、本発明のSLACは、多層積層構造体を製造するために使用され、それは次に、パウチ、サシェ、スタンドアップパウチ、又は他のバッグ部材もしくは容器、特に食品を包装するために使用される容器などの製品又は物品を製造することができる。
本明細書で「本発明のポリオール成分」(「IPC」)と呼ばれる本発明のSLACに使用される共反応物である成分Bは、表IIに記載の成分に従って調製した。BESTER(商標)101、ISONAT(商標)M125及びVORANOL(商標)CP755を反応器に投入し、次いで、反応器の内容物を加熱しながら撹拌(混合)した。反応器内の温度を70~80℃の温度で2時間保持した。2時間後、反応器中の得られた混合物を40℃まで冷却し、次いで、IP9001、VORANOL(商標)CP450及びSPECFLEX ACTIVE(商標)2306を反応器に投入した。反応器中の得られた混合物を30分間撹拌し、30分後、得られた混合物はIPCを形成した。生成されたIPCは、25℃で、136のOH価及び14,000mPa-sの粘度を有する。
本明細書の実施例に記載されるように製造される積層体は、以下のフィルム基材のうちの1つ以上を用いて作製される:(1)印刷されていない12μmのPET(PET);(2)9μmのアルミ箔(Al);(3)32%のエチレンコモノマー(PE-EVOH)を含む5μmのEVOH層を有する50μmのエチルビニルアルコール、又は15μmのポリアミド(OPA)と共押出ししたポリエチレンを含むバリアポリマーフィルム。
表IIIに記載される比較実施例A(基準)及び比較実施例Cの積層体を調製するのに使用される基準接着剤配合物は共反応剤としてCR001を含み;比較実施例B、D及びEの積層体を製造するのに使用される接着剤配合物は共反応剤としてCR002を使用する。CR001及びCR002を使用する比較実施例A、B、C、D及びEは芳香族ポリエステルポリオールを含むが、脂肪族ポリエステルポリオールを含まない接着剤配合物。比較実施例B,D及びEの積層体を製造するのに使用される接着剤配合物は、芳香族ポリエステルポリオールに加え、シリコン系添加剤を含み;比較実施例B、D及びEの接着剤配合物はワンショット積層プロセスで接着剤配合物が使用される直前に再分散させる必要がある。
本発明の実施例1~5の積層体を製造するのに使用されるSLACは共反応剤としてIPCを使用し;SLACにシリコン系添加剤を添加せず;SLACを再分散する必要がない。
表IIIは、上記の表I及び表IIに記載の接着剤成分を使用して調製された積層体を記載する。表IIIに記載の接着剤系を含む積層構造体は、以下の機械パラメータを有するNordmeccanica DUPLEX ONE-SHOT(商標)ラミネータで調製される:ドージングギャップでの45℃の温度;塗布ロール温度55℃;ニップロールの温度:55℃;ニップ圧2.5ニュートン(N);1.5Nの積層圧力;160Nの巻き戻し張力;ニップロールでの硬度90ショア。表IIIに示すように、積層OH部分(例えば、第1の基材)にOH成分(すなわち、ポリオール成分)を塗布し、積層NCO部分(例えば、第2の基材)にNCO成分(すなわち、イソシアネート成分)を塗布した後、2つのコーティングされた基材を合わせて積層する。2つのコーティングされた基材は、ニッピングステーションで積層体を形成するために一緒にされる。各積層体のコート重量は、約1.0グラム/平方メートル(g/m2)に維持される。計量温度、塗布温度、ニップ温度はそれぞれ50℃、50℃、及び65℃である。
ワンショット積層プロセス及びラミネータによって製造された積層体の外観を、積層体の製造後に目視で検査した。積層体が気泡又はオレンジ色の剥離などの視覚的欠陥を示さない場合、積層構造体の、ワンショットラミネータの速度モニタ読み取り値に記録された最高積層速度を決定した。本発明の共反応物IPCを使用して製造された積層体は、良好な光学特性を示した。
Claims (9)
- 二成分無溶剤積層用接着剤組成物であって、
(A)少なくとも1つのイソシアネートを含む少なくとも1種のイソシアネート成分と、
(B)
(Bi)少なくとも1種のアミン開始ポリオール;
(Bii)少なくとも1種の脂肪族ポリエステルポリオール;及び
(Biii)少なくとも1種のポリエーテルポリオールを含む少なくとも1種のポリオール成分とを含む、二成分無溶剤積層用接着剤組成物。 - 前記少なくとも1種の脂肪族ポリエステルポリオールが、脂肪族ポリカルボン酸及びポリオールから誘導される化合物であり;前記アミン開始ポリオールが構造(I)の化学構造を有し;
前記少なくとも1種のポリエーテルポリオールが、ポリプロピレングリコール、ポリテトラメチレンエーテルグリコール、ポリブチレンオキシド系ポリオール及びそれらの共重合体、並びにそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される化合物である、請求項1に記載の二成分無溶剤積層用接着剤組成物。 - 前記少なくとも1種のアミン開始ポリオールの濃度が6重量パーセント~40重量パーセントであり;前記少なくとも一種の脂肪族ポリエステルポリオールの濃度が10重量パーセント~30重量パーセントであり;前記少なくとも一種のポリエーテルポリオールの濃度が40重量パーセント~60重量パーセントである、請求項1に記載の二成分無溶剤積層用接着剤組成物。
- 二成分無溶剤積層用接着剤組成物であって、A:Bの比が100:100~100:80である、請求項1に記載の二成分無溶剤積層用接着剤組成物。
- 二成分無溶剤積層用接着剤組成物の製作プロセスであって
(A)少なくとも1つのイソシアネートを含む少なくとも1種のイソシアネート成分と、
(B)
(Bi)少なくとも1種のアミン開始ポリオール;
(Bii)少なくとも1種の脂肪族ポリエステルポリオール;及び
(Biii)少なくとも1種のポリエーテルポリオールを含むポリオール組成物を含む少なくとも1種のポリオール成分とを混合するステップを含む、製作プロセス。 - 多層積層フィルム複合構造体であって、
(a)少なくとも1つの第1の基材層と、
(b)少なくとも1つの第2の基材層と、
(c)前記第1の基材層と前記第2の基材層との間に配置された、請求項1に記載の接着剤組成物の層;とを備え、前記接着剤が硬化されて、前記第1の基材層が前記第2の基材層に結合する、多層積層フィルム複合構造体。 - 請求項6に記載の多層積層構造体の製造プロセスであって、
(I)少なくとも第1の基材を提供するステップと、
(II)少なくとも第2の基材を提供するステップと、
(III)請求項1に記載の無溶剤積層用接着剤組成物を提供するステップと、
(IV)前記第1の基材の一方の表面の少なくとも一部に前記少なくとも1種のイソシアネート成分の第1の層を塗布して、前記第1の基材上に配置された前記少なくとも1種のイソシアネート成分のフィルム層を形成するステップと;
(V)前記第2の基材の一方の表面の少なくとも一部に前記少なくとも1種のポリオール成分のコーティング層を塗布して、前記第2の基材上に配置された前記ポリオール成分のフィルム層を形成するステップと、
(VI)前記第1の基材の表面上の少なくとも1種のイソシアネート成分の層を、前記第2の基材の表面上の少なくとも1種のポリオール成分のコーティング層と接触させて、前記第1の基材及び前記第2の基材の間に少なくとも1種のイソシアネート成分及びポリオール成分を含む複合接着剤配合層を形成し、層状の積層構造体を形成するステップと、
(VII)前記第1の基材と前記第2の基材との間の接着剤配合物を硬化させ、前記硬化した接着剤層を介して前記第1の基材を前記第2の基材に付着させて、結合した多層積層構造体を形成するステップと、を含む、製造プロセス。 - 請求項1に記載の二成分無溶剤積層用接着剤組成物を含む積層構造体。
- ポリマーバリア基材又は金属/金属化基材を更に含む、請求項8に記載の積層構造体。
