Abstract

To provide a mounting fitting for allowing appropriate fastening of a fastening member to a support member to which a deck material is mounted.SOLUTION: The mounting fitting includes a leg part capable of abutting on the support member, a base part connected to the leg part for the fastening member to be inserted therethrough and fastened to the support member, and pressing parts connected to the base part and inserted into recessed grooves on both width-direction sides, respectively. The leg part is formed to be elastically deformable, and the base part is provided to be movable downward in the state that the leg part abuts on the support member. A leg abutment part which is isolated from the leg part at the normal time for abutting on the leg part during elastically deformation is provided on the base part. When the leg part is elastically deformed in working for fastening the fastening member to the support member and the base part moves downward, the fact that the base part moves down to a predetermined height is transmitted to a worker by getting a feel that the leg part abuts on the leg abutment part. Thus, work for fastening the fastening member can be stopped in a suitable state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 23

Description

The present invention relates to mounting hardware for installing decking materials onto supporting members such as joists.

Methods for attaching decking to supporting members such as joists include a structure in which a screw is inserted into the decking and screwed into the supporting member, or a structure in which a metal fitting attached to the decking is fixed to the supporting member, and various inventions relating to mounting fittings for attaching decking have been disclosed.

For example, Patent Document 1 describes an invention for a fixture for fixing flooring, which has lengthwise grooves on its sides, to a base material, with the flooring being arranged on the base material and fitted across the grooves of the adjacent flooring, the fixture body being formed by a top plate with a screw insertion hole at the middle position and pressure parts that are provided to protrude on both sides of the top plate and fit into the grooves of the adjacent flooring, the fixture body being provided with a pair of downward support legs at both ends of the top plate, the support legs being long enough to hold the pressure parts of the fixture body at a height position that fits into the grooves of the flooring by self-supporting with their lower ends abutting the base material, and the fixture body being elastic enough to open when pressed down from above.

The fixing device described in Patent Document 1 is designed to fix the flooring material without rattling by lowering the pressing part by opening the support legs when fixing the flooring material by screwing in the screws, even if the height position of the recessed groove changes. However, there is a problem that it is difficult to grasp how much the screws should be screwed in, and it is difficult for inexperienced workers to properly tighten the screws.

The present invention provides a mounting fixture that can properly fasten a fastening member to a support member for attaching a deck material.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention has the following configuration.
In other words, the mounting hardware of the present invention is a mounting hardware for attaching a deck material having a groove at its widthwise end to a support member, and comprises legs that can abut against the support member, a base that is connected to the legs and through which fastening members that can be fastened to the support member are inserted, and pressing portions that are connected to the base and are inserted into the grooves on both sides in the width direction, the legs are formed to be elastically deformable and the base is arranged so that it can move downwardly when the legs are in contact with the support member, and the base comprises leg abutment portions that are spaced apart from the legs in normal conditions and abut against the legs when elastically deformed.

The mounting hardware of the present invention comprises legs that can abut against a support member, a base that is connected to the legs and through which fastening members that can be fastened to the support member are inserted, and pressing portions that are connected to the base and inserted into the grooves of the deck material on both sides in the width direction. Therefore, the base is fixed to the support member by the fastening members fastened to the support member, and the pressing portions press the grooves towards the support member, attaching the deck material to the support member.
In addition, the legs are formed to be elastically deformable and are capable of moving downwardly of the base while in contact with the support member. Therefore, when fastening the fastening member to the support member, the legs come into contact with the support member, making it difficult for the mounting bracket to move, and the mounting bracket can be fixed more accurately in the desired position.
In addition, the base is provided with leg abutment portions that are spaced apart from the legs under normal conditions and abut against the legs when they are elastically deformed. Therefore, when the legs elastically deform and the base moves downward during the operation of fastening the fastening member to the support member, the worker gets the feeling that the legs have abutted against the leg abutment portions, which tells the worker that the base has descended to a predetermined height, and the operation of fastening the fastening member can be stopped in an optimal condition.

In addition, if the leg part is elastically deformed when the leg contact part is in contact with the leg part, and the base part is allowed to move further downward, the fastening member can be further screwed in at the discretion of the worker even after the leg contact part has come into contact with the leg part, which is preferable since the fastening of the fastening member can be changed depending on the conditions of the installation location.

The mounting hardware of the present invention allows the fastening member to be properly fastened to the support member to which the deck material is attached.

Fig. 9 is an enlarged view of Fig. 1 showing one leg portion 4 in an enlarged manner, and Fig. 10 is a view taken along the line CC in Fig. 9. Fig. 9 shows an enlarged view of the leg portion 4 disposed on the right side in Fig. 1.
Each leg 4 has a connection portion 41 that is connected to the base portion 21 and extends outward in the longitudinal direction, and a support leg 42 that extends downward from the connection portion 41 .

The connecting portion 41 includes a narrow portion 41a having a small width, an intermediate portion 41b having a width that gradually increases from the narrow portion 41a, and a bent portion 41c that bends downward from the intermediate portion 41b.
The narrow portion 41a and the intermediate portion 41b are provided in a shape that slopes upward as they extend outward in the longitudinal direction.
The narrow portion 41a is formed so that its width is smaller than that of the base portion 21, and is smaller than the width of the bent portion 41c and the support leg 42. In other words, each leg 4 is provided so that the narrow portion 41a is more likely to elastically deform than the support leg 42 when the base 2 of the mounting bracket 1 is subjected to a downward force.

The intermediate portion 41b increases in width from the inside where it connects to the narrow portion 41a to the outside in the longitudinal direction, and the width of the portion that connects to the bent portion 41c is greater than that of the base portion 2. In other words, the width of the bent portion 41c that connects to the intermediate portion 41b is greater than that of the base portion 2.

The width of each of the support legs 42 is the same as that of the bent portion 41c. In addition, a bent portion 42a is formed at the lower end of each of the support legs 42, which bends inward in the longitudinal direction, and the end of the bent portion 42a is bent upward.

FIG. 11 is a front view showing one embodiment of the fastening member 8. As shown in FIG.
The fastening member 8 is a male screw member having a head 81 and a male screw portion 82. Specifically, it is formed of a so-called tapping screw that can be screwed by screwing the male screw portion 82 into a member that does not have a female screw.
The head 81 is formed in a substantially cylindrical shape, and the outer diameter of the outer circumferential surface 81a is formed to be substantially the same in the vertical direction.

12 is a front view showing the fastening member 8 of FIG. 11 attached to the mounting bracket 1 of FIG. 1, FIG. 13 is an enlarged plan view showing the fastening member 8 and its surroundings in FIG. 12, and FIG. 14 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line D-D of FIG. 12.
The fastening member 8 shown in FIGS. 12 to 14 is attached to the base portion 2 , and the male screw portion 82 is inserted into the through hole 22 of the base plate portion 21 .
13, each pressing portion 3 is provided such that an inner end portion in the width direction of the substrate 30 in a plan view is disposed in the vicinity of the fastening member 8. A recess 30a recessed in a substantially circumferential shape is formed in the end portion of each substrate 30, and the edge of this recess 30a is provided in the vicinity of the head 81 of the fastening member 8 so as to follow the outer circumferential surface 81a.

The fastening member 8 shown in FIGS. 12 to 14 is held by the holding portion 28, and the male threaded portion 82 is clamped between the half-split portions 29a, 29b.
The retaining portion 28 holds the outer periphery of the male threaded portion 82 by surrounding it with the base portions 29c and protruding pieces 29d of each of the half-split portions 29a, 29b, thereby restricting not only the movement of the fastening member 8 in the width direction but also the movement in the longitudinal direction.
In addition, when the holding portion 28 holds the fastening member 8, the protrusions 29e and 29f provided on each base portion 29c are arranged to be inserted between adjacent threads of the male screw portion 82. By inserting and engaging each of the protrusions 29e and 29f between the threads in this manner, the vertical movement of the fastening member 8 is restricted.

FIG. 15 is a side view showing one embodiment of the deck material 9. As shown in FIG.
The deck material 9 is an elongated body having a generally rectangular cross section formed by extrusion molding, and has the same cross-sectional shape over its entire length.
On both sides of the deck material 9 in the width direction, a recessed groove 91 having a rectangular cross section and recessed inward is formed.
The deck material 9 is made of synthetic resin, specifically, polyolefin resin containing wood powder.

FIG. 16 is a diagram showing the state before the deck material 9 in FIG.
The support member S shown in FIG. 16 is a so-called joist, and is provided so that a plurality of deck materials 9 are placed and attached on the upper surface thereof.
On the upper surface of the support member S shown in FIG. 16, one deck material 9A having the same shape as the deck material 9 shown in FIG. 15 is placed.

FIG. 17 is a diagram showing a state in which the mounting member 1 of FIG. 12 is mounted in the recessed groove 91 of the deck material 9A of FIG.
FIG. 17 shows a state in which the mounting member 1 placed on the upper surface of the support member S is moved in the width direction, and one of the pressing portions 3 is inserted into the recessed groove 91.
The mounting member 1 is formed so that the vertical dimension from the upper end of the upper abutment portion 31 provided on the pressing portion 3 to the lower end of the lower abutment portion 32 is slightly larger than the vertical groove width of the groove 91, and the upper abutment portion 31 shown in Figure 17 abuts the upper surface of the first inclined portion 31a against the upper edge of the groove 91.

FIG. 18 is a diagram showing the state in which the pressing portion 3 of the mounting member 1 is inserted into the recessed groove 91 of the deck material 9A of FIG.
In the mounting member 1 shown in FIG. 18 , the lower end of the lower contact portion 32 of the pressing portion 3 is in contact with the lower inner surface of the recessed groove 91 .
Furthermore, the force of inserting the pressing portion 3 causes the upper contact portion 31 to elastically deform, and the upper end of the first inclined portion 31a moves downward and is stored inside the recessed groove 91. The mounting member 1 is formed so that the first inclined portion 31a of the upper contact portion 31, which is inclined, abuts against the edge of the recessed groove 91, so that the pressing portion 3 can be easily inserted into the recessed groove 91.

18, the upper contact portion 31 is elastically deformed, so that the upper end of the upper contact portion 31 and the lower end of the lower contact portion 32 each abut against the inner surface of the recessed groove 91 in such a way that they are pushed out. By the upper contact portion 31 and the lower contact portion 32 abutting in this manner, the inserted pressing portion 3 is made difficult to come out of the recessed groove 91, and the mounting member 1 can be temporarily fixed to the deck material 9A.
Further, the lower end of the lower contact portion 32 that contacts the inner surface of the recessed groove 91 is formed by a triangular corner portion, and the upper end of the upper contact portion 31 that contacts the inner surface is formed by a side portion of a first inclined portion 31a formed in a substantially rectangular protruding piece shape. By forming the upper end of the upper contact portion 31 in a blunt shape that is not sharper than the lower end of the lower contact portion 32 in this manner, the upper contact portion 31 is less likely to bite into the inner surface of the recessed groove 91. Further, the lower contact portion 32 is urged downward by the elastically deforming upper contact portion 31, but the force is not so strong that it hardly bites into the inner surface of the recessed groove 91.

FIG. 19 is a diagram showing the state in which the pressing portion 3 of the mounting member 1 in FIG. 18 has been inserted into another deck material 9B.
19 shows a state in which the deck material 9B placed on the upper surface of the support member S has been moved in the width direction and the other pressing portion 3 of the mounting member 1 of FIG.
19, the lower portion of the widthwise end of each of the deck materials 9A, 9B is abutted against the support legs 42 of the leg portion 4 of the mounting bracket 1. In other words, the deck materials 9A, 9B are disposed with a gap equal to the width of the support legs 42.

The pressing portion 3 is inserted into the groove 91 of the deck material 9B by elastically deforming the first inclined portion 31a abutting the upper edge of the groove 91 so as to move downward by the force moving the deck material 9B, similar to the pressing portion 3 inserted into the groove of the deck material 9A. Then, within the groove 91 of the deck material 9B, the upper end of the upper abutment portion 31 and the lower end of the lower abutment portion 32 each abut against the inner side surface of the groove 91 so as to be pushed up, and the mounting member 1 is temporarily fixed to the deck material 9B.
When each pressing portion 3 is inserted into and engaged with each groove of the deck material 9A, 9B, the upper ends of the upper abutment portions 31 and the lower ends of the lower abutment portions 32 barely bite into the inner surface of the groove 91. For this reason, with each pressing portion 3 inserted into the deck material 9A, 9B, the mounting bracket 1 can be easily moved in the longitudinal direction, and its position can be easily adjusted.

20 is a view showing a state in which the fastening member 8 of the mounting member 1 in FIG. 19 has been screwed into the support member S, and FIG. 21 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line E--E in FIG.
20, by screwing the male thread portion 82 into the support member S, the underside of the head 81 comes into contact with the upper end of the holding portion 28 of the mounting bracket 1. The head 81 of the fastening member 8 with its underside abutted against the holding portion 28 has its outer peripheral surface 81a disposed to the side of the base plate 30 of each pressing portion 3, and is disposed near the edge of the recess 30a.

22 is a view showing a state in which the fastening member of FIG. 20 has been further screwed into the supporting member, and FIG. 23 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line FF of FIG. 22. As shown in FIG.
When the fastening members 8 shown in Figures 20 and 21 are further screwed into the support member S, the legs 4 of the mounting bracket 1 are elastically deformed as shown in Figures 22 and 23, and the base 2 is pushed downward.
The mounting bracket 1 is arranged so that each leg 4 is elastically deformed to a greater extent at the narrow portion 41 a of the connecting portion 41 , and each leg 4 is elastically deformed so as to bend at the base portion where it is connected to the base portion 21 of the base 2 .
Moreover, the mounting bracket 1 is formed so that the upper part of each leg 4 abuts against the base 2 when each leg 4 elastically deforms as described above and the base 2 is pressed downward. Specifically, the bent part 41c of the connection part 41 of each leg 4, which is formed to be larger in the width direction than the substrate part 21 of the base 2, abuts against each of the inclined parts 25a constituting the lower edge of each side plate part 25. The inclined parts 25a of each side plate part 25, which are separated from the leg 4 in the normal state and abut against the leg 4 when elastically deformed in this way, function as leg abutment parts.
The worker attaching the mounting member 1 to the support member S can determine that the base 2 has been pushed down to a predetermined position and complete the attachment work by feeling the bent portions 41c of the legs 4 abut against the inclined portions 25a of the base 2 that function as leg abutment portions while screwing the fastening members 8 into the support member S. In other words, by arranging the mounting bracket 1 so that the elastically deformed legs 4 abut against the leg abutment portions of the base 2, the fastening members 8 can be suitably screwed into the support member S without being screwed too far, and fixed to the support member S.

FIG. 24 is a view showing a state in which the fastening member 8 of FIG. 23 is further screwed into the supporting member S.
As shown in Figures 22 and 23, the fastening member 8 of the mounting bracket 1 is preferably screwed to the support member S when the bent portion 41c of the connection portion 41 of the leg 4 is in contact with the inclined portion 25a of the side plate portion 25 of the base portion 2, which functions as a leg contact portion, but depending on the conditions of the installation location, it may be better to further screw the fastening member 8. In such a situation, as shown in Figure 24, the mounting bracket 1 can elastically deform each leg 4 and move the base 2 so as to press it downward by further screwing the fastening member 8 into the support member S. That is, the mounting bracket 1 shown in Figure 24 is firmly attached to the deck material 9A, 9B by making the lower contact portion 32 of each pressing portion 3 bite into the inner surface of the recessed groove 91 more than in the state shown in Figures 22 and 23.

When the fastening member 8 is screwed into the support member S to press the base 2 downward with the lower contact portions 32 of each pressing portion 3 in contact with the lower inner surface of the recessed groove 91, each pressing portion 3 moves so as to be pulled down by each side plate portion 25. At this time, each pressing portion 3 moves inward in the width direction, but the recesses 30a of each of the substrates 30 arranged beside the outer circumferential surface 81a of the fastening member 8 come into contact with the head portion 81, restricting the inward movement in the width direction.
By restricting the movement of each substrate 30 in this manner, the force pressing the base 2 downward can be efficiently transmitted to the substrate 30 of each pressing portion 3 , and thus to each lower contact portion 32 .
In other words, by arranging the ends of each base plate 30 in such a way that they abut against the fastening member 8, the lower ends of each lower abutment portion 32 of the pressing portion 3 can be effectively inserted into the grooves 91 of the deck material 9.

As shown in FIG. 1, the lower contact portions 32 formed on one side of the center in the longitudinal direction are inclined from directly below toward the one side, and the lower contact portions 32 formed on the other side of the center in the longitudinal direction are inclined from directly below toward the other side. By forming the lower contact portions 32 in this manner, when the lower contact portions 32 are inserted into the grooves 91, the lower contact portions 32 are bent in either direction in the longitudinal direction, which can suppress the longitudinal movement of the pressing portion 3. In other words, by forming the lower contact portions 32 as described above, the positional deviation of the mounting bracket 1 during the installation work on the support member S can be reduced.

The mounting bracket 1 according to the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and various modifications are possible without departing from the spirit of the present invention.
