Abstract

To provide a mounting structure of a wash mirror in which high design property and workability can be obtained while fixing a wash mirror properly.SOLUTION: A mounting structure of a wash mirror includes: a mirror body having a frame body having a pair of side plates and the wash mirror provided in front of the frame body, and covering the space side caused between the wash mirror and the mounting face with the pair of side plates; a first receptacle mounted in the mounting face; a second receptacle mounted in the mounting face so as to be positioned downward more than the first receptacle; a first fixture provided at the rear of the mirror body, and engaged with the first receptacle in the vertical direction; a second fixture provided at the rear of the mirror body and more downward than the first fixture, and placed on the second receptacle while the first receptacle is engaged with the first fixture; and a fixing member for fixing the second fixture to the second receptacle. Description

Aspects of the present invention generally relate to mounting structures for washbasin mirrors.

There is a known mirror mounting structure that improves design by concealing fixtures and the like so that they cannot be seen by the user. For example, in Patent Document 1, a hook is provided on the mounting surface and a hook receiver is provided on the back surface of the mirror, and the mirror is mounted to the mounting surface by engaging the hook with the hook receiver. In this way, when the mirror is mounted, the hook and hook receiver can be concealed by the mirror.

However, if an attachment structure that merely engages as described above is used for a vanity mirror installed in a washroom space, there is a risk that the vanity mirror will move relative to the attachment surface when cleaning, resulting in reduced cleanability. The surface of a vanity mirror can become dirty due to splashes of water caused by washing, and the surface needs to be cleaned relatively frequently. For this reason, there is a demand for vanity mirrors to be properly fixed so that movement of the mirror during cleaning can be suppressed, thereby ensuring high cleanability.

On the other hand, if the fixing devices are simply placed in a position that is difficult to see in order to properly fix the washbasin mirror while preventing a loss of design, it may become difficult to secure working space for fingers and tools around the fixing devices, which could lead to a decrease in workability.

Therefore, it is desirable for the installation structure of the washbasin mirror to be able to properly fix the washbasin mirror while also achieving high design and ease of construction.

The present invention was made based on the recognition of such problems, and aims to provide a mounting structure for a washbasin mirror that allows the washbasin mirror to be properly fixed while achieving high design and ease of construction.

The first invention is a mounting structure for a washbasin mirror for mounting the washbasin mirror to a mounting surface, comprising a frame body having a pair of side plates and a washbasin mirror provided in front of the frame body, a mirror body that covers the sides of the space between the washbasin mirror and the mounting surface with the pair of side plates, a first receiving device that is attached to the mounting surface, a second receiving device that is attached to the mounting surface so as to be located lower than the first receiving device, a first mounting device that is provided on the back surface of the mirror body and engages with the first receiving device in the vertical direction, and a second mounting device that is attached to the back surface of the mirror body. According to this installation structure for a washbasin mirror, the mirror body can be temporarily fixed by engaging the first receiving tool with the first mounting tool while moving the mirror body in the vertical direction relative to the mounting surface, and then placing the second mounting tool on the second receiving tool while restricting the forward tilt of the mirror body. In this case, by moving the mirror body in the vertical direction, the mirror body can be properly installed even in a washroom with a narrow width in the horizontal direction. With this mounting structure for the washbasin mirror, when the second mounting fixture is placed on the second receiving device, the bottom end of the second receiving device is positioned higher than the bottom end of the washbasin mirror, making the second receiving device less visible to users and achieving a more aesthetically pleasing design.

The third invention is a mounting structure for a washbasin mirror according to the first or second invention, characterized in that the width in the left-right direction of one of the first receiving device and the first mounting device is wider than the width in the left-right direction of the other of the first receiving device and the first mounting device.

According to this mounting structure for a washbasin mirror, the forward tilt of the mirror body can be restricted over a wide range in the left-right direction by making the left-right width of one of the first receiving device and the first mounting device wider than the left-right width of the other. This makes it easier to adjust the left-right position of the first receiving device and the first mounting device when temporarily fixing the mirror body to the mounting surface, further improving workability.

The fourth invention is a mounting structure for a washbasin mirror according to any one of the first to third inventions, characterized in that the first receiving device opens upward and the first mounting device engages with the first receiving device from above.

This mounting structure for the washbasin mirror allows the mirror body to be attached to the mounting surface from above, further improving ease of installation.

The fifth invention is a mounting structure for a washbasin mirror according to any one of the first to fourth inventions, characterized in that when the second mounting fixture is placed on the second receiving fixture, a vertical gap is provided between the first mounting fixture and the first receiving fixture.

This mounting structure for the washbasin mirror prevents the first mounting fixture from coming into contact with the first receiving fixture, which can prevent a gap from occurring between the second receiving fixture and the second mounting fixture. This allows the washbasin mirror to be fixed more appropriately. In addition, by providing a gap between the first mounting fixture and the first receiving fixture, the frictional resistance between the first mounting fixture and the first receiving fixture can be reduced. The faucet device 5 is provided on the washbasin 4. The faucet device 5 may be provided, for example, inside the washbasin 4, or may be attached to the mounting surface WS. The faucet device 5 has a water outlet 5a and an operating unit 5b. The water outlet 5a discharges water toward the washbasin 4a. The operating unit 5b adjusts the flow rate and temperature of the water discharged from the water outlet 5a. In this example, the operating unit 5b is a lever handle. The operating unit 5b is not limited to this, and may be a rotary handle, etc. It is sufficient that the operating unit 5b is capable of at least adjusting the flow rate.

The mirror device 10 is provided on the washbasin 4 and the faucet device 5. The mirror device 10 is attached to the mounting surface WS. The mirror device 10 has a washbasin mirror 16. The washbasin mirror 16 is, for example, a flat, approximately rectangular plate. In other words, the washbasin mirror 16 is a single-sided mirror.

In this way, the mirror device 10 positions the wash mirror 16 above the wash basin 4 and the faucet device 5. This allows a user performing a washing action such as washing their hands or face to check their face, hair, etc. The wash mirror 16 is attached to the mounting surface WS by the mirror device 10. In other words, the mirror device 10 provides an attachment structure for attaching the wash mirror 16 to the mounting surface WS.

As shown in Figures 2 to 4, the mirror device 10 (mounting structure for a washbasin mirror) comprises a mirror body 12, a first receiving device 21, a second receiving device 22, a first mounting device 31, a second mounting device 32, and a fixing member 35.

The mirror body 12 has a frame body 14 and a washbasin mirror 16. The frame body 14 has a pair of side plates 40. The washbasin mirror 16 is provided in front of the frame body 14. In other words, the washbasin mirror 16 is provided at the front end of each side plate 40. The frame body 14 is attached to the mounting surface WS with the rear end of each side plate 40 in close proximity to the mounting surface WS. Therefore, the washbasin mirror 16 is attached to the mounting surface WS in a state where it is separated from the mounting surface WS by the amount of each side plate 40. The mirror body 12 covers the sides of the space SP created between the washbasin mirror 16 and the mounting surface WS with a pair of side plates 40. This makes it possible to prevent the back of the washbasin mirror 16 and the space SP from being viewed from the side when attached to the mounting surface WS.

The frame body 14 further includes, for example, reinforcing members 42 and 43. The reinforcing members 42 and 43 extend in the left-right direction and connect the side panels 40. The reinforcing member 42 is provided near the upper end of each side panel 40. The reinforcing member 43 is provided near the lower end of each side panel 40. As a result, the reinforcing members 42 and 43 form a rectangular frame together with the side panels 40, reinforcing the frame body 14. However, the reinforcing members 42 and 43 are provided as necessary and can be omitted. In addition, the reinforcing members 42 and 43 are provided near the front end of each side panel 40. In other words, the reinforcing members 42 and 43 are provided close to the back surface of the washbasin mirror 16.

The mirror body 12 further has, for example, mirror support parts 44, 45. The mirror support part 44 engages with the upper end of the washbasin mirror 16. The mirror support part 44 is attached to the reinforcing material 42, for example, by screwing. The mirror support part 45 engages with the lower end of the washbasin mirror 16. The mirror support part 45 is attached to the reinforcing material 43, for example, by screwing. In this way, the washbasin mirror 16 is attached to the front of the frame body 14 via the mirror support parts 44, 45 with its upper and lower ends supported by the mirror support parts 44, 45. This allows the washbasin mirror 16 to be attached to the front of the frame body 14 while preventing the exposure of fixing devices such as screws. However, the method of attaching the washbasin mirror 16 to the frame body 14 is not limited to the above and may be any method.

The mirror body 12 further includes, for example, an illumination unit 50, a reflector 52, and a cover 54. The frame body 14 is open at the top. The illumination unit 50 is provided in the space SP between the wash mirror 16 and the mounting surface WS. In other words, the illumination unit 50 is provided inside the frame body 14. The illumination unit 50 irradiates light (visible light) toward the upper opening of the frame body 14.

The reflector 52 is provided on the upper part of the frame body 14. The reflector 52 extends, for example, from the upper rear end of the frame body 14 upward and also forward. The reflector 52 reflects the light emitted upward from the lighting unit 50 downward and forward. This allows the light emitted from the lighting unit 50 and reflected by the reflector 52 to illuminate the surface of the wash mirror 16, the user's face, etc.

The cover 54 is provided on the upper part of the frame body 14 and closes the upper opening of the frame body 14. The cover 54 is optically transparent to the light irradiated from the illumination unit 50. The cover 54 is, for example, a transparent flat plate. This allows the light irradiated from the illumination unit 50 to be irradiated toward the reflector 52 while preventing dust and other particles from entering the frame body 14 through the upper opening of the frame body 14.

The configuration of the lighting unit 50 and other components is not limited to the above. For example, the lighting unit 50 may be provided on the frame 14 and irradiate light in front of the wash mirror 16. The lighting unit 50 may be configured in any way that is capable of irradiating light in front of the wash mirror 16. Furthermore, the lighting unit 50, reflector 52, and cover 54 are provided as necessary and may be omitted.

The first receiver 21 is attached to the mounting surface WS. The first receiver 21 is attached to the mounting surface WS by, for example, screwing. The method of attaching the first receiver 21 to the mounting surface WS is not limited to screwing, and any method that can properly attach the first receiver 21 may be used.

The first receiving device 21 has, for example, a fixed portion 21a that is fixed to the mounting surface WS by a screw or the like, a first extending portion 21b that extends forward from the upper end of the fixed portion 21a, and a second extending portion 21c that extends upward from the front end of the first extending portion 21b. The first receiving device 21 is, for example, a flat plate bent into a crank shape.

In this way, the first receiver 21 opens upward, allowing engagement from above. The configuration of the first receiver 21 is not limited to the above, and may be any configuration that opens upward and allows engagement from above. Also, conversely to the above, the first receiver 21 may be configured to open downward, allowing engagement from below.

The mirror device 10 has, for example, a plurality of first receivers 21 arranged in a line in the left-right direction. In this example, the mirror device 10 has two first receivers 21. However, the number of first receivers 21 is not limited to two, and may be one, or three or more. The number of first receivers 21 may be any number.

The second receiver 22 is attached to the mounting surface WS so as to be positioned lower than the first receiver 21. The second receiver 22 is attached to the mounting surface WS, for example, by screwing. The method of attaching the second receiver 22 to the mounting surface WS is not limited to screwing, and any method that can properly attach the second receiver 22 may be used.

The mirror device 10 has, for example, a plurality of second receivers 22 arranged in a line in the left-right direction. In this example, the mirror device 10 has two second receivers 22. However, the number of second receivers 22 is not limited to two, and may be one, or three or more. The number of second receivers 22 may be any number.

The first mounting fixture 31 is provided on the rear surface of the mirror body 12. The first mounting fixture 31 may be provided on the rear surface of the frame body 14 or on the rear surface of the washbasin mirror 16. The first mounting fixture 31 engages with the first receiving fixture 21 in the vertical direction. In this example, the first receiving fixture 21 opens upward. Therefore, the first mounting fixture 31 engages with the first receiving fixture 21 from above. For example, if the first receiving fixture 21 opens downward, the first mounting fixture 31 engages with the first receiving fixture 21 from below.

The first mounting fixture 31 extends, for example, in the left-right direction and connects a pair of side panels 40. The first mounting fixture 31 is, for example, a cross bar. This allows the first mounting fixture 31 to increase the strength of the frame body 14. In other words, the first mounting fixture 31 can also function as a reinforcing material.

The width of the first mounting fixture 31 in the front-rear direction is, for example, narrower than the width of the first extending portion 21b of the first receiving fixture 21 in the front-rear direction. This allows the first mounting fixture 31 to engage with the first receiving fixture 21 from above.

The width W2 of the first mounting fixture 31 in the left-right direction is greater than the width W1 of the first receiving fixture 21 in the left-right direction. The first mounting fixture 31 engages with each of the two first receiving fixtures 21 that are arranged side by side in the left-right direction.

The configuration of the first receiving device 21 and the first mounting device 31 is not limited to the above, and may be any configuration that can engage with each other. For example, in contrast to the above, the left-right width W1 of the first receiving device 21 may be wider than the left-right width W2 of the first mounting device 31.

The second mounting fixture 32 is provided on the back surface of the mirror body 12, lower than the first mounting fixture 31, and is placed on the second receiving fixture 22 in a state in which the mirror body 12 is prevented from falling forward by the engagement between the first receiving fixture 21 and the first mounting fixture 31. In this example, the second mounting fixture 32 is placed on each of the two second receiving fixtures 22 that are arranged side by side in the left-right direction. The second mounting fixture 32 may be provided on the back surface of the frame 14 or on the back surface of the washbasin mirror 16.

When the second mounting fixture 32 is placed on the second receiver 22, a vertical gap GP (see FIG. 3) is provided between the first mounting fixture 31 and the first receiver 21. In this example, the first mounting fixture 31 engages with the first receiver 21 from above. Therefore, in this example, when the first mounting fixture 31 is positioned above the first receiver 21, a gap GP is provided between the first mounting fixture 31 and the first receiver 21. Conversely, when the first mounting fixture 31 engages with the first receiver 21 from below, a gap GP is provided between the first mounting fixture 31 and the first receiver 21 when the first mounting fixture 31 is positioned below the first receiver 21.

When the second mounting fixture 32 is placed on the second receiving fixture 22, the front end 22f of the second receiving fixture 22 is located behind the washbasin mirror 16.

The second mounting fixture 32 is provided above the lower end 16b of the vanity mirror 16. When the second mounting fixture 32 is placed on the second receiving fixture 22, the lower end 22b of the second receiving fixture 22 is located above the lower end 16b of the vanity mirror 16.

The second receiving device 22 and the second mounting device 32 are, for example, flat plates bent into an approximately L-shaped cross section. The second mounting device 32 is attached to the reinforcing material 43, for example, by screwing. The second mounting device 32 also extends in the left-right direction and covers the lower part of the space SP between the wash mirror 16 and the mounting surface WS. In other words, the second mounting device 32 also functions as the bottom plate of the frame body 14. This prevents the back of the wash mirror 16 and the space SP from being visible from below when attached to the mounting surface WS. The configuration of the second receiving device 22 and the second mounting device 32 is not limited to the above, and any configuration that allows the second mounting device 32 to be placed on the second receiving device 22 may be used.

The mirror body 12 further has a switch unit 56 for, for example, switching the lighting unit 50 on and off. The switch unit 56 is attached, for example, to the bottom surface of the second mounting fixture 32, which is provided above the bottom end 16b of the washbasin mirror 16. The bottom end of the switch unit 56 is located above the bottom end of the frame body 14. This prevents the switch unit 56 from being exposed forward. This further improves the design of the mirror device 10. In addition, even if the switch unit 56 is located on the bottom side of the frame body 14, it is possible to prevent the switch unit 56 from being subjected to impacts during transportation or installation of the mirror device 10, etc.

The fixing member 35 is attached from below to the second receiver 22 and the second mounting fixture 32 placed on the second receiver 22, and fixes the second mounting fixture 32 to the second receiver 22. The fixing member 35 is, for example, a male screw. The second receiver 22 is provided with, for example, a through hole for inserting the fixing member 35. The second mounting fixture 32 is provided with, for example, a female screw that screws into the fixing member 35. This allows the second mounting fixture 32 to be fixed to the second receiver 22 by the fixing member 35. For example, the second mounting fixture 32 can be completely restrained relative to the second receiver 22. The fixing member 35 is not limited to a male screw, and may be any member that can fix the second mounting fixture 32 to the second receiver 22.

As shown in FIG. 5A, in mounting the mirror device 10, first, the first receiving tool 21 and the second receiving tool 22 are mounted at predetermined positions on the mounting surface WS.

In this way, by making the movement direction of the mirror body 12 the up-down direction, the mirror body 12 can be properly installed even in a washroom space that is narrow in the left-right direction and has walls close to both sides of the mirror body 12.

As shown in FIG. 5(c), after the mirror body 12 is temporarily fixed, the second mounting fixture 32 is fixed to the second receiving fixture 22 by attaching a fixing member 35 from below to the second receiving fixture 22 and the second mounting fixture 32. In other words, the mirror body 12 is permanently fixed. This causes the mirror body 12 to be attached to the mounting surface WS. In other words, the washbasin mirror 16 is attached to the mounting surface WS.

As described above, according to the mounting structure of the mirror device 10 and its washbasin mirror 16 of this embodiment, the mirror body 12 can be temporarily fixed by engaging the first receiving device 21 with the first mounting device 31 while moving the mirror body 12 in the vertical direction relative to the mounting surface WS, and placing the second mounting device 32 on the second receiving device 22 while restricting the forward falling of the mirror body 12. At this time, by making the direction of movement of the mirror body 12 the vertical direction, the mirror body 12 can be properly mounted even in a washroom with a narrow width in the horizontal direction. In addition, in the mirror device 10, the width in the left-right direction of one of the first receiving device 21 and the first mounting device 31 is made wider than the width in the left-right direction of the other, so that the forward tipping of the mirror body 12 can be restricted over a wide range in the left-right direction.
