Abstract
Description
本発明は、電子タバコカートリッジ及び電子タバコに使用される充填物。 The present invention relates to an electronic cigarette cartridge and a filler for use in an electronic cigarette.
In recent years, in order to keep up with the trend towards smoking cessation, electronic cigarette products that allow users to enjoy tobacco without using a flame by heating a cartridge containing tobacco components and inhaling the vaporized tobacco components have begun to become popular. As such a smoking article, an electronic cigarette cartridge has been proposed that uses a sheet containing glycerin or the like as an aerosol-forming substrate. Such an electronic cigarette cartridge is configured so that the aerosol-forming substrate can be penetrated by a heating blade, and a smoking article that is heated to smoke has been proposed (Patent Document 1).
In addition, the aerosol-forming substrate of the present invention needs to be appropriately filled with the filler. For example, if the filling rate is less than 60% and the filling amount is too small, sufficient aerosol is not generated by heating, and the resistance when the user inhales when smoking is too low, resulting in an unsatisfactory smoking experience. Furthermore, if the filling rate is preferably 65% or more, the smoking experience tends to be improved. Conversely, if the filling rate is more than 90% and the filling amount is too large, the filler becomes clogged to a large extent, making it difficult for the user to smoke, increasing the resistance when inserting the heating element, or damaging the electronic cigarette cartridge.

さらに、エアロゾル形成材表面に無機粒子を付着させることで、電子タバコ本体の加熱要素の汚れを軽減することができる。
By adhering inorganic particles to the surface of the aerosol-forming material, it is possible to prevent adhesion and adhesion between particles of the aerosol-forming material even when the material is stored in a high-temperature environment.
Furthermore, by attaching inorganic particles to the surface of the aerosol-forming material, contamination of the heating element of the electronic cigarette body can be reduced.
以下、本発明の実施の形態を説明する。
本発明に用いられる、エアロゾル形成材としては、例えば以下のように製造されたものが用いられる。また、エアロゾル形成材を形成する材料としては、エアロゾルフォーマを担持する担持体、エアロゾルフォーマ及び必要に応じ使用する風味添加剤が挙げられる。
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described.
The aerosol forming material used in the present invention may be, for example, one manufactured as follows: Furthermore, materials forming the aerosol forming material include a support that supports the aerosol former, the aerosol former, and a flavor additive that is used as needed.
エアロゾルフォーマを担持する担持体としては、タバコ植物或いは非タバコ植物の様々な使用部位(例えば、根、茎、葉、花、実、皮、種子、樹木の幹又は樹木の枝など)が用いられ、好ましくは、乾燥粉砕されるなどの形態で用いられる。 As a carrier for carrying the aerosol former, various parts of tobacco plants or non-tobacco plants (e.g., roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, skin, seeds, tree trunks, tree branches, etc.) are used, preferably in a dried and crushed form.
In addition to the plant parts mentioned above, the carriers that carry the aerosol formers include gums such as guar gum, xanthan gum, gum arabic, and locust bean gum, cellulose binders such as hydroxypropyl cellulose, carboxymethyl cellulose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, methyl cellulose, and ethyl cellulose, polysaccharides such as starch, organic acids such as alginic acid, sodium alginate, agar, and conjugate base salts of organic acids such as pectin, and combinations thereof.
As the aerosol former, glycerin, propylene glycol, sorbitol, triethylene glycol, lactic acid, diacetin (glycerin diacetate), triacetin (glycerin triacetate), triethylene glycol diacetate, triethyl citrate, isopropyl myristate, methyl stearate, dimethyl dodecanedione, dimethyl tetradecanedione, etc. can be used, with glycerin and propylene glycol being particularly preferred. These are used in an amount of 1% by mass or more and 80% by mass or less relative to the aerosol forming material, and it is particularly preferred that they be used in an amount of 10% by mass or more and 40% by mass or less.
上記エアロゾルフォーマ担持体及びエアロゾルフォーマのほかに必要に応じ風味を追加する風味添加剤も好ましく用いられる。風味添加剤としては、はっか、ココア、コーヒー、紅茶のエキス等が挙げられる。さらに、上記材料を用いて、エアロゾル形成材を製造する場合には上記のほかに、水、エチルアルコール、増粘剤等好ましい製造を実施するための種々の添加剤を加えてもよい。 In addition to the above-mentioned aerosol former carrier and aerosol former, flavor additives that add flavor as necessary are also preferably used. Examples of flavor additives include mint, cocoa, coffee, and black tea extracts. Furthermore, when using the above-mentioned materials to manufacture an aerosol-forming material, various additives such as water, ethyl alcohol, and thickeners may be added in addition to the above to carry out a preferred manufacture.
例えば、充填物をシートとして作成する場合には、例えば、特表2010-520764にあるように、上記に様なタバコ材料を含むシートを作成し、作成したシートにエアロゾルフォーマを添加したり、特表2017-529848号公報にあるように、エアロゾルフォーマとセルロース繊維とタバコ粉末を組合せてスラリーとしたのちにシートとする方法が挙げられる。 For example, when preparing the filling material as a sheet, as described in JP-T-2010-520764, a sheet containing the above-mentioned tobacco material is prepared and an aerosol former is added to the prepared sheet, or as described in JP-T-2017-529848, an aerosol former is combined with cellulose fiber and tobacco powder to form a slurry, which is then formed into a sheet.
また、充填物を棒状又は短冊状として作成する場合には、上記のようなエアロゾルフォーマを担持する担持体の材料と、エアロゾルフォーマなどと水を混合し、適度に水分を含んだシートとして、所望の棒状、短冊状に成形或いはカッティングする。 When making the filler into a rod or strip shape, the material for the carrier that holds the aerosol former as described above is mixed with the aerosol former and water, and the resulting sheet is appropriately moistened and then molded or cut into the desired rod or strip shape.
本発明において無機粒子が好ましく用いられる理由としては、本発明におけるエアロゾル形成基材が加熱される際に、前記加熱により無機物が分解しにくいことを念頭においたものである。 The reason why inorganic particles are preferably used in the present invention is that when the aerosol-forming substrate in the present invention is heated, the inorganic substances are less likely to decompose due to the heating.
無機粒子が充填物の表面に存在すると、エアロゾルフォーマを含む充填物同士が直接に接触しないようになる。このような状況を作り出すことにより、本発明の電子タバコカートリッジの輸送中或いは保管中にさらされる振動或いは高温状態において、エアロゾルフォーマが前記エアロゾル形成材の表面に滲み出して、存在量が増加した場合においても、エアロゾル形成材同士の付着を防止することができる。 When inorganic particles are present on the surface of the filler, the fillers containing the aerosol former do not come into direct contact with each other. By creating such a situation, adhesion between the aerosol forming materials can be prevented even if the aerosol former seeps onto the surface of the aerosol forming material and the amount of the aerosol former increases due to vibration or high temperature conditions to which the electronic cigarette cartridge of the present invention is exposed during transportation or storage.
このような効果を得るためには、前記無機粒子が、1μm以上1000μm以下程度の直径を有していることが好ましい。さらに、5μm以上であると充填物間のスペーサとしてさらに好ましく機能するので好ましい。更に、10μm以上であると更に好ましい。また、50μm以下であると十分なスペーサ効果を有するとともに、充填物を十分に充填することができるので好ましい。 To achieve such an effect, it is preferable that the inorganic particles have a diameter of about 1 μm or more and 1000 μm or less. Furthermore, if the diameter is 5 μm or more, it is preferable because it functions more effectively as a spacer between the fillers. Furthermore, if the diameter is 10 μm or more, it is even more preferable. Furthermore, if the diameter is 50 μm or less, it is preferable because it has a sufficient spacer effect and can be sufficiently filled with the fillers.
In the present invention, the diameter of an inorganic particle refers to the diameter of a circle obtained by taking an image of the inorganic particle on the surface of a filler using an optical microscope or, if necessary, an electron microscope. In other words, the diameter of the particle is the diameter of a circle equal to the area of the projected image of the inorganic particle.
The presence of inorganic particles on the surface of the aerosol-forming material is, for example, based on the results of observing about 10 sheets of the aerosol-forming material surface at a magnification of about 500 and a field of view of 100 μm×100 μm after decomposing the aerosol-forming base material. The magnification may be increased as necessary. It is also preferable to confirm the presence of inorganic particles using a scanning electron microscope equipped with XMA (X-ray microanalysis) in order to confirm that the particles are inorganic.
また、本発明において、無機粉体の粒子径の測定は、例えば、レーザー回折・散乱式 粒子径分布測定装置が用いられる。試料としての粉体は好ましくは湿式にて測定される。例えば、マイクロトラックベル社製、マイクロトラックMT3300IIIなどが用いられる。なお、本発明において平均粒子径という場合は、0.02μm~2000μmまでの範囲について、体積基準の分布を累積し、50%となった径をいう。 In the present invention, the particle size of inorganic powders is measured using, for example, a laser diffraction/scattering type particle size distribution measuring device. Powder samples are preferably measured wet. For example, Microtrack MT3300III manufactured by Microtrack Bell is used. In the present invention, the average particle size refers to the diameter at which the volume-based distribution is accumulated to 50% in the range of 0.02 μm to 2000 μm.
One example of a method for attaching inorganic particles to the surface of an aerosol-forming material is to add inorganic powder to the aerosol-forming material and mix it. The inorganic powder added to the aerosol-forming material preferably has an average particle size of 1 μm or more, more preferably 5 μm or more, and preferably 10 μm or more, since this enhances the effect of the present invention. In addition, an average particle size of 100 μm or less makes it easier to maintain the adhesion state to the surface of the aerosol-forming material, and a particle size of 40 μm or less is preferable, since it has a sufficient spacer effect and can be sufficiently filled with the filler.
また、上記無機粉体の添加量は、充填物100質量部に対して、0.001質量部以上10質量部以下であることが好ましい。更に好ましくは、0.01質量部以上であると、十分なスペーサ効果を得ることができる。更に好ましい範囲は、0.05質量部以上である。また、5質量部以下であると、スペーサ効果が得られるとともに充填物を十分に充填することができるので好ましい。更に好ましい範囲は、2質量部以下である。 The amount of the inorganic powder added is preferably 0.001 parts by mass or more and 10 parts by mass or less per 100 parts by mass of the filler. More preferably, it is 0.01 parts by mass or more, which allows a sufficient spacer effect to be obtained. A more preferred range is 0.05 parts by mass or more. It is also preferable that it is 5 parts by mass or less, since it allows the spacer effect to be obtained and the filler to be sufficiently filled. A more preferred range is 2 parts by mass or less.
尚、本発明において、無機粒子を表面に存在させたエアロゾル形成材を用いてエアロゾル形成基材を形成すると、驚くべきことに使用後の加熱要素に付着する汚れが減少する効果の有することが分かった。 Furthermore, in the present invention, it has been found that forming an aerosol-forming substrate using an aerosol-forming material having inorganic particles present on the surface has the surprising effect of reducing dirt adhering to the heating element after use.
In particular, the average particle size of the inorganic powder to be added is 1 μm or more and 40 μm or less for good effect, and 5 μm or more for even more effective in reducing adhesions. The amount of inorganic powder to be added is 0.01 parts by mass or more and 5 parts by mass or less for good effect, and 0.1 parts by mass or more for even more effective in reducing adhesions. The mechanism of this action is assumed to be that the inorganic particles exert a polishing effect on the surface when the heating element is attached and detached, scavenge dirt, or reduce dirt due to the small probability of direct contact between the heating element surface and the aerosol forming material during heating due to the spacer effect of the inorganic particles.
Examples of inorganic substances that can be used as the inorganic particles of the present invention include metal chlorides such as sodium chloride and potassium chloride, metal oxides such as magnesium oxide, calcium oxide, titanium oxide, iron oxide, and alumina, metal carbonates such as magnesium carbonate and calcium carbonate, metal sulfates such as magnesium sulfate and calcium sulfate, metal phosphates such as calcium phosphate, and titanates such as potassium titanate and magnesium titanate, which can be used alone or in combination. The above are examples of inorganic substances that can be used in the present invention, but the inorganic particles of the present invention are not limited to the above inorganic substances and also include salts with other metals. Furthermore, silicon oxides such as zeolite, colloidal silica, and fumed silica can also be used. In particular, magnesium carbonate, calcium carbonate, silicon oxide, and alumina can be preferably used.
また、前記無機物を包含するような天然物を利用することもできる。珪藻土、バーミキュライトなどが挙げられる。 It is also possible to use natural materials that contain the above-mentioned inorganic substances. Examples include diatomaceous earth and vermiculite.
また、本発明におけるエアロゾル形成基材においては、適度に充填物を充填する必要がある。充填量が少なすぎると、加熱によってのエアロゾル発生が十分ではなく、ユーザーが喫煙を行った際に吸い心地が不十分なものとなる。逆に充填量が多すぎると充填物の詰まり具合が大となるため、ユーザーの喫煙が難しくなったり、加熱要素の挿入する際の抵抗が大となり、電子タバコカートリッジが破損したりする。 In addition, the aerosol-forming substrate of the present invention needs to be appropriately filled with the filler. If the filling amount is too small, the aerosol generated by heating is insufficient, and the user will experience an unsatisfactory smoking experience. Conversely, if the filling amount is too large, the filler will become too clogged, making it difficult for the user to smoke or increasing the resistance when inserting the heating element, resulting in damage to the electronic cigarette cartridge.
In the present invention, the preferred form of the shape of the filling is as follows. As an example of a preferred form, FIG. 3 shows a rod-shaped or strip-shaped filling arranged in the wrapping member (151) along the longitudinal direction of the aerosol-forming substrate. As another preferred form, FIG. 6 shows a view of the aerosol-forming substrate (110) from one end side, in which the aerosol-forming substrate (110) is in the form of a sheet and has a filling (112) folded in the wrapping member (151) along the longitudinal direction of the electronic cigarette cartridge. As another preferred form, FIG. 7 shows a view of the aerosol-forming substrate (110) from one end side, in which the aerosol-forming substrate (110) is in the form of a sheet and has a filling (113) wound in the wrapping member (151) along the longitudinal direction of the electronic cigarette cartridge in the form of a roll.
充填物の充填量の適切な範囲は、エアロゾル形成基材の断面において、シート状のエアロゾル形成材の占める面積率を算出する方法で評価することができる。この場合、エアロゾル形成基材の一端から見た状態が断面と同等である場合はこれを採用することができる。 The appropriate range of the amount of filling material can be evaluated by a method of calculating the area ratio of the sheet-like aerosol-forming material to the cross section of the aerosol-forming substrate. In this case, if the state of the aerosol-forming substrate as viewed from one end is the same as the cross section, this can be used.
For example, it can be determined by using a digital microscope to evaluate the filled material and the voids without filled material, and can be measured as follows. A digital microscope (Keyence: VHX-2000) was used, and the image was projected onto a display at a magnification of 100x. The range of image analysis was the area in which only the filled material and the voids without filled material appeared. In this case, the observed sample had a diameter of 7.0 mm, and the dimensions were 3.5 mm wide and 2.6 mm high. Within the above range, image analysis was performed using the attached software, with the "extraction mode" set to "brightness" in the "automatic measurement mode." For measurement, "standard" was selected, the "extraction parameter" was set to "bright," and the "threshold" was selected so that the observed filled material and voids were separated. The filling rate was determined as the ratio of the filled material to the entire measurement area.
このように充填率は、60%以上90%以下が好ましい。更に好ましくは、65%以上であり、更に好ましくは70%以上である。このような充填率を高くしようとするときに充填物同士が付着するようになることが多く、本発明が有用となる。 As such, the filling rate is preferably 60% or more and 90% or less. More preferably, it is 65% or more, and even more preferably, it is 70% or more. When trying to increase such a filling rate, the fillers often end up adhering to each other, which is why the present invention is useful.
上記のように調整された充填物は以下のように電子タバコカートリッジとして、電子タバコ本体に用いられる。 The filler prepared as described above is used in the electronic cigarette body as an electronic cigarette cartridge as follows:
図1には、電子タバコカートリッジの使用の形態を例示している。電子タバコカートリッジ(100)は、ユーザーの使用時に電子タバコ本体(200)に装着される。電子タバコ本体(200)には、電子タバコカートリッジ(100)を差し込むための差し込み部(210)が設けられている。 Figure 1 illustrates an example of how an electronic cigarette cartridge is used. When a user uses the electronic cigarette cartridge (100), the electronic cigarette cartridge (100) is attached to the electronic cigarette body (200). The electronic cigarette body (200) is provided with an insertion portion (210) for inserting the electronic cigarette cartridge (100).
差し込み部(210)内の底の中央部には、加熱要素(211)が設けられており、加熱要素(211)は、先端が尖っているピン状またはブレード状の部材を有し、エアロゾル形成基材(110)内に挿入され、エアロゾル形成基材(110)を加熱する。より具体的には、加熱要素(211)は、電子タバコカートリッジ(100)が電子タバコ本体(200)の差し込み部(210)に刺し込まれる際に、エアロゾル形成基材(110)の中央部に挿入される。 A heating element (211) is provided in the center of the bottom of the insertion portion (210). The heating element (211) has a pin-shaped or blade-shaped member with a sharp tip, and is inserted into the aerosol-forming substrate (110) to heat the aerosol-forming substrate (110). More specifically, the heating element (211) is inserted into the center of the aerosol-forming substrate (110) when the electronic cigarette cartridge (100) is inserted into the insertion portion (210) of the electronic cigarette body (200).
The heating element (211) generates heat directly or indirectly by power supplied from a battery (not shown) installed in the electronic cigarette body (200). The heat from the heating element (211) warms the aerosol-forming substrate (110), generating an aerosol containing aromatic components. The generated aerosol is then transferred to the mouthpiece (140) via the support element (300) and the aerosol transfer member (130) described below, and the aromatic components reach the user's mouth when the user inhales from the mouthpiece (140). Hereinafter, for the purpose of explaining the present invention, the aerosol-forming substrate (110) side of the electronic cigarette cartridge is referred to as the upstream side (10), and the mouthpiece side is referred to as the downstream side (20). The upstream side (10) may also be referred to as one end side, and the downstream side (20) may also be referred to as the other end side.
なお、図1には、加熱要素(211)がピン状又はブレード状の部材を1本有する場合について図示されているが、別の形態の例としては、加熱要素(211)がピン状又はブレード状の部材を複数有しているものが例示できる。 Note that FIG. 1 illustrates a case where the heating element (211) has one pin-shaped or blade-shaped member, but an example of another form is a heating element (211) having multiple pin-shaped or blade-shaped members.
図2には、電子タバコカートリッジ(100)の構造の一例を示す。加熱要素(211)の挿入される側から、すなわち、上流側(10)から下流側(20)に向かって、エアロゾル形成基材(110)、支持要素(300)、移送部材(130)、マウスピースの構成(140)をとるもので説明する。 Figure 2 shows an example of the structure of an electronic cigarette cartridge (100). From the side where the heating element (211) is inserted, that is, from the upstream side (10) to the downstream side (20), the structure is described as taking the aerosol-forming substrate (110), the support element (300), the transfer member (130), and the mouthpiece (140).
支持要素(300)は、エアロゾル形成基材(110)を支持する。支持要素(300)は、エアロゾル形成基材(110)に隣接して配置され、前記支持要素(300)の側部(160)は電子タバコカートリッジ(100)の周縁に位置する包装部材(150)と接する。側部(160)は、たとえば接着剤により包装部材(150)の内面に固定されている。 The support element (300) supports the aerosol-forming substrate (110). The support element (300) is disposed adjacent to the aerosol-forming substrate (110), and the side portion (160) of the support element (300) contacts the packaging member (150) located at the periphery of the electronic cigarette cartridge (100). The side portion (160) is fixed to the inner surface of the packaging member (150), for example, by adhesive.
また、支持要素(300)は、好適には、たとえばシリコーンを使用して形成されうるが、シリコーンに限定されず、耐熱性に優れた他の材料を使用してもよい。 Furthermore, the support element (300) may be preferably formed using, for example, silicone, but is not limited to silicone and other materials having excellent heat resistance may be used.
As shown in FIG. 3, the filler (111) manufactured as the aerosol-forming substrate (110) is preferably shaped, for example, in a rod or strip shape, and is packed so as to align the filler (111) along the longitudinal direction of its shape when filling. Here, an example is shown in which the filler is filled into a cylindrically shaped wrapping member (151). The wrapping member (151) may be a paper such as tobacco paper shaped into a cylindrical shape. The packaging member (150) may also serve as the wrapping member (151). This stabilizes the airflow, making it easier for the user to inhale the aromatic components from the aerosol-forming substrate (110).
4 shows the aerosol-forming substrate (110), transfer member (130), mouthpiece (140) and a support element (300) as exemplified below being arranged adjacent to each other in the order of aerosol-forming substrate (110), support element (300), transfer member (130), mouthpiece (140), and wrapped with a wrapping element (150) such as tobacco paper to form a wound rod. At this time, a small amount of adhesive is applied to the side (160) of the support element to form an electronic cigarette cartridge (100).
Next, examples of use of the electronic cigarette cartridge of the present invention will be described in detail.
図1、図2、図3及び図4は、電子タバコカートリッジの使用の態様と外観の例である。 Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4 are examples of the usage and appearance of an electronic cigarette cartridge.
電子タバコカートリッジ(100)は、図2に示すように、たとえば棒状または円筒形状の外観をしている。 The electronic cigarette cartridge (100) has an external appearance of, for example, a rod or cylinder shape, as shown in FIG. 2.
電子タバコカートリッジ(100)の内部は、たとえば図2に示すように、一端にエアロゾル形成基材(110)が設けられ、他端のマウスピース(140)に向けて、支持要素(300)、移送部材(130)が、この順序で配置されている。そして、これらを包装部材(150)によって包装されている。 As shown in FIG. 2, the inside of the electronic cigarette cartridge (100) has an aerosol-forming substrate (110) at one end, and a support element (300) and a transfer member (130) arranged in this order toward the mouthpiece (140) at the other end. These are then packaged in a packaging member (150).
エアロゾル形成基材(110)は、電子タバコカートリッジ用充填物である。エアロゾル形成基材(110)は、加熱により充填物の元になった植物が有する芳香成分を含むエアロゾルを発生する。 The aerosol-forming substrate (110) is a filler for an electronic cigarette cartridge. When heated, the aerosol-forming substrate (110) generates an aerosol containing aromatic components from the plant that is the source of the filler.
When the filler as the aerosol-forming substrate (110) is, for example, in the shape of a piece, a strip, or a rod, in which the long side is about 2 to 20 times the short side, as shown in FIG. 3, the filler (111) is packed so that the longitudinal direction of the shape is aligned with the longitudinal direction of the cartridge when filling. This improves the air flow and makes it easier to inhale. Note that FIG. 3 is a view from the end of the electronic cigarette cartridge on the side where the aerosol-forming substrate (110) is located, and is partially see-through so that the filler (111) inside the cartridge can be seen. However, in both cases, it is preferable that the maximum length is about 1 to 20 mm. This is because if the maximum length is too large, it may be too large when filling the cartridge, making it difficult to handle. Of course, other than this, for example, if the filler is flat and has a nearly uniform shape, it can be rolled up and packed, making it easy to handle.
その他のエアロゾル形成基材としては、シートの形状として、しわ付け、ひだ付け、ギャザー付け或いは折りたたむことにより形成されたものを使用するのも好ましい形態である。 Other preferred forms of aerosol-forming substrates include sheets formed by crinkling, pleating, gathering or folding.
繊維状の充填物は、棒状のもの同様に、繊維の長さ方向をカートリッジの長手方向に沿うように詰めることで、吸引された空気の流れをよくする。 As with rod-shaped fillers, the fibrous filler improves the flow of sucked-in air by packing the fibers so that their length runs along the length of the cartridge.
多孔質状の充填物は、カートリッジに詰めたときに多孔質であるので吸引されたときの空気の流れをよくするので、好ましい形態の一つである。多孔質状にするためには、たとえば、複数の針で乾燥したシートを何度か突き刺すなどすることで形成できるが、その他の方法であってもよい。 A porous filler is one of the preferred forms, because when it is packed into the cartridge, it is porous, which improves the flow of air when inhaled. To make it porous, for example, it can be formed by piercing the dried sheet several times with multiple needles, but other methods are also possible.
片状、正方形や長方形、または菱形などの平板状としたり、粉体、顆粒、ペレットの充填物は、カートリッジ開口部に落とし込むようにして容易に詰めることができる。また、カートリッジへ詰める量(充填量)を細かく調整しやすく、詰める量によって吸引されたときの空気の流れを調整しやすいので、好ましい。前記カートリッジ開口部に蓋をするなど脱落防止の対応をとることで更に好ましく使用できるようになる。 The cartridge can be flat, flaky, square, rectangular, or diamond shaped, and the powder, granule, or pellet filler can be easily dropped into the cartridge opening. This is also preferable because it is easy to finely adjust the amount filled into the cartridge (filling amount), and the air flow when inhaled can be easily adjusted depending on the amount filled. It can be used even more preferably by taking measures to prevent the cartridge opening from falling out, such as by putting a lid on it.
ブロック状の充填物は、熱伝導性がよく芳香成分を引き出しやすい。好ましい形態の一つである。また、ブロックの大きさを大きくして保存しやすいようにしてもよい。その場合、充填時にはブロックから小さなブロックや、棒状、粒状などの形状に再成形することができる。 Block-shaped fillings have good thermal conductivity and are easy to extract aromatic components. This is one of the preferred forms. The size of the blocks can also be increased to make them easier to store. In that case, when filling, the blocks can be reshaped into smaller blocks, rods, granules, or other shapes.
上記に例示した様々な形状の充填物の表面に無機粒子を存在させることで本発明の効果を得ることができる。 The effects of the present invention can be achieved by having inorganic particles on the surface of the various shapes of fillers exemplified above.
ペースト状の充填物は、カートリッジ内に絞り出して充填することができる。このため、たとえば、展開した状態の包装部材(150)にペーストを塗布して、包装部材(150)ごと巻き上げることでカートリッジを形成することが可能となる。 The paste-like filling material can be squeezed out and filled into the cartridge. For this reason, for example, it is possible to apply paste to the packaging member (150) in an unfolded state and then roll up the packaging member (150) to form a cartridge.
支持要素(300)は、エアロゾル形成基材(110)を支持する。支持要素(300)は、エアロゾル形成基材(110)に隣接して配置され、中心部または側部に気流の通し穴や切り欠きなどを有して、エアロゾル形成基材(110)から発生したエアロゾルをマウスピース方向へ流すことができる。 The support element (300) supports the aerosol-forming substrate (110). The support element (300) is arranged adjacent to the aerosol-forming substrate (110) and has an airflow hole or cutout in the center or on the side, allowing the aerosol generated from the aerosol-forming substrate (110) to flow toward the mouthpiece.
マウスピース(140)は、移送部材(130)に隣接し、電子タバコカートリッジ(100)の他端部に配置される。マウスピース(140)は、微粒子を取り除くフィルターとして、たとえばセルロースアセテートフィルターを含んでいてもよい。マウスピース(140)のフィルターを通過した香気成分は、ユーザーによって吸引される。 The mouthpiece (140) is disposed adjacent to the transport member (130) at the other end of the electronic cigarette cartridge (100). The mouthpiece (140) may include a filter, such as a cellulose acetate filter, to remove fine particles. The aroma components that pass through the filter of the mouthpiece (140) are inhaled by the user.
Comparing the presence or absence of the transfer member (130), the absence of the transfer member (130) provides better ventilation and makes it easier to inhale the generated aromatic components. On the other hand, it is also preferable to add a function to cool the generated aerosol by inserting the transfer member (130). Instead of adding the transfer member (130), it is also preferable to extend the mouthpiece so that it is adjacent to or in contact with the support element (300). This is because the filter used in the mouthpiece can also serve as a cooling function, and the number of parts can be reduced. As the transfer member (130), a hollow tubular member or a crimped polymer sheet wound in the longitudinal direction of the electronic cigarette cartridge can be used.
図5(1)は、エアロゾル形成基材(110)と支持要素(300)が接触する構成を示しており、安定的にエアロゾル形成基材(110)を支持することができるので好ましい形態である。また、構成が単純であるから製造上の利点も大きい。 Figure 5 (1) shows a configuration in which the aerosol-forming substrate (110) and the support element (300) are in contact with each other, and this is a preferred form because it can stably support the aerosol-forming substrate (110). In addition, the simple configuration offers great manufacturing advantages.
図5(2)は、エアロゾル形成基材(110)と支持要素(300)の間に隔壁部材(160)を設け、隔壁部材(160)を介して接するような構成とするものである。隔壁部材(160)は、例えば、通気性の良い、フィルター、紙などが挙げられ加熱要素(211)が挿入された際には破壊するようなものが好ましい。このような隔壁部材を設けると輸送時等の物流での影響でエアロゾル形成基材(110)が電子タバコカートリッジで移動してしまうことを避けることに効果がある。 In FIG. 5 (2), a partition member (160) is provided between the aerosol-forming substrate (110) and the support element (300), and they are in contact with each other via the partition member (160). The partition member (160) is preferably made of, for example, a filter or paper that has good breathability, and is preferably one that breaks when the heating element (211) is inserted. Providing such a partition member is effective in preventing the aerosol-forming substrate (110) from moving in the electronic cigarette cartridge due to the influence of logistics such as during transportation.
In FIG. 5 (3), a configuration in which a lid (170) is placed on the side of the aerosol-forming substrate (110) where the heating element (211) is inserted is also preferred. This is effective in preventing the aroma of the aerosol-forming substrate (110) from dissipating. Furthermore, it is effective in preventing the aerosol-forming substrate (110) from falling out of the electronic cigarette cartridge due to the influence of logistics such as during transportation. Examples of materials for the lid (170) include filters, paper, sponge, etc. In addition, when a heating element is inserted, it is also preferred to make one or more slits in the lid (170) or to provide a circular or polygonal guide hole at the location where the heating element is inserted.
特に、エアロゾル形成基材(110)として、粉体、顆粒、フレーク、ペレット等の粒状のものを用いた場合は、隔壁部材(160)或いは蓋(170)を設けることが好ましい。更に、その双方を設けることが更に好ましい。 In particular, when a particulate material such as powder, granules, flakes, or pellets is used as the aerosol-forming substrate (110), it is preferable to provide a partition member (160) or a lid (170). Furthermore, it is even more preferable to provide both.

The following evaluations were performed on the electronic cigarette cartridge obtained as described above. The electronic cigarette body used will be outlined below. The heating element (211) is 4.5 mm wide, 12 mm long to the tip, and 0.4 mm thick. The inner diameter of the insertion part (210) is 7 mm, which is almost equal to the outer diameter of the electronic cigarette cartridge. The heating element (211) is heated by power supplied from a battery (not shown) installed in the electronic cigarette body (200), and reaches approximately 350°C. Then, the built-in control system completes the consumption of one electronic cigarette cartridge after 14 puffs. Note that when the electronic cigarette cartridge of this embodiment is inserted, the electronic cigarette cartridge portion that appears from the downstream side of the electronic cigarette body to the outside is approximately 20 mm.
Evaluation 1: The electronic cigarette cartridge was prepared and packed in a paper box with a long side of 70 mm, a short side of 14 mm, and a height of 45 mm, with the aerosol-forming substrate facing the bottom. The box containing the electronic cigarette cartridge thus prepared was placed in a plastic bag and left in an environment of 40° C. for two weeks. After that, it was taken out and left in a normal temperature and humidity environment for one day, and the following evaluation was performed. The filling was removed from the aerosol-forming substrate, and it was confirmed whether they had solidified.
Rank A: Those that fall apart when removed with tweezers Rank B: Those that can be pressed apart with tweezers Rank C: Those that remain in clumps even when pressed with tweezers Rank C items are likely to become difficult to insert into the electronic cigarette body after long-term storage, etc.
評価2:各実施例及び比較例において、電子タバコカートリッジを作成する際においての作成の容易さ、困難さを比較したものである。各実施例中等に、特にコメントがない場合問題はないことを意味する。 Evaluation 2: This compares the ease and difficulty of creating electronic cigarette cartridges in each example and comparative example. If there are no particular comments in each example, this means that there are no problems.
評価3:各実施例の電子タバコカートリッジを、図1に示すように使用をした際の加熱要素に付着した汚れを評価したものである。評価は以下のように行った。比較例1の電子タバコカートリッジを用いて、1本につき14回吸引を行う。計10本、20本、30本、40本、50本の吸引を終了した際の加熱要素に付着した汚れを、エタノールを含侵させたガーゼを用いてふき取った。汚れの程度は、吸引本数が増えるにつれて大となる。 Evaluation 3: The electronic cigarette cartridges of each Example were evaluated for dirt adhering to the heating element when used as shown in Figure 1. The evaluation was performed as follows. Using the electronic cigarette cartridge of Comparative Example 1, 14 puffs were taken per cigarette. After a total of 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 puffs had been taken, dirt adhering to the heating element was wiped off with gauze soaked in ethanol. The degree of dirt increased as the number of puffs increased.
これに対し、本実施例にて作成した電子タバコカートリッジを50本吸引した際の汚れを採取し、汚れの程度を比較し、比較例1についての何本分に相当するかのより評価した。 In contrast, dirt was collected when 50 electronic cigarette cartridges made in this example were used, and the degree of dirt was compared and evaluated based on how many cigarettes in Comparative Example 1 it corresponded to.

以上説明した実施形態によれば以下の効果を奏する。
本本発明において、エアロゾル形成材の表面に無機粒子を存在させることにより、様々な輸送或いは保存環境を経由した電子タバコカートリッジであっても、問題なく使用が可能のものとすることができる。
The above-described embodiment provides the following advantages.
In the present invention, by having inorganic particles present on the surface of the aerosol-forming material, it is possible to make the electronic cigarette cartridge usable without any problems even if it has been subjected to various transport or storage environments.
また、本発明の更なる効果として、使用による加熱要素の汚れを減じることができ、クリーニングの頻度や電子タバコ本体の寿命をも伸ばすことができる。 Another advantage of the present invention is that it reduces contamination of the heating element caused by use, which can extend the frequency of cleaning and the lifespan of the electronic cigarette body.
However, since the aerosol-forming base material formed in a sheet shape uses glycerin and the like, it may stick to itself and harden during transportation or storage in a warehouse or store. When it hardens, it becomes difficult for the heating blade to penetrate it. This may result in damage to the electronic cigarette cartridge and damage to the heating blade. Therefore, the object of the present invention is to prevent the aerosol-forming base material from sticking to itself and hardening during transportation or storage in a warehouse or store, and to prevent damage to the electronic cigarette cartridge or the heating blade of the electronic cigarette body.
以上本発明を適用した実施形態を説明したが、本発明はこれら実施形態に限定されるものではない。本発明は特許請求の範囲に記載された構成に基づき様々な改変が可能であり、それらについても本発明の範疇である。 Although the embodiments to which the present invention is applied have been described above, the present invention is not limited to these embodiments. The present invention can be modified in various ways based on the configuration described in the claims, and these modifications are also within the scope of the present invention.
