Abstract
Description
本発明は、従来のホットメルト接着剤よりも高い熱応力および低い温度でより高い接着値を有する高性能ホットメルト接着剤組成物を提供する。別の態様では、本発明は、従来のホットメルト接着剤よりも少ない量の高性能ホットメルト接着剤で同様の接着強度を有する物品を提供する。
(A)(i)約105〜約150℃の融点および(ii)約−80〜約−50℃のガラス転移温度を有する約20重量%〜約50重量%のポリマー;
(B)約20〜約40重量%のワックス;
(C)約30〜約70重量%の粘着付与剤;および
(D)約0.01〜約3重量%の酸化防止剤を含む高性能ホットメルト接着剤組成物に関する。
(A)(i)約105〜約150℃の融点および(ii)約−80〜約−50℃のガラス転移温度を有する約20重量%〜約50重量%のポリマー;
(B)約20〜約40重量%のワックス;
(C)約30〜約70重量%の粘着付与剤;および
(D)約0.01〜約3重量%の酸化防止剤を含む高性能ホットメルト接着剤組成物である。
(A)(i)(a)約105〜約140°の融点および(b)約−80〜約−50℃のガラス転移温度を有する約20重量%〜約50重量%のポリマー;(ii)約30〜約20重量%のワックス;(iii)約30〜約70重量%の粘着付与剤;および(iv)約0.01〜約3重量%の酸化防止剤を含む高性能接着剤組成物を形成し、
(B)約275°F〜約400°Fで接着剤を基板に塗布し、
(C)第2の基材を塗布された接着剤上に適用する工程を含む物品の製造方法に関する。
本発明は、高性能ホットメルト接着剤を提供する。
表1に、種々のポリマーとそのDSC溶融温度Tmおよびガラス転移(Tg)値を示す。
Claims (18)
- A.(i)約105〜約150℃の融点および(ii)約−80〜約−50℃のガラス転移温度を有する約20重量%〜約50重量%のポリマー;
B.約20〜約40重量%のワックス;および
C.約30〜約70重量%の粘着付与剤;および
D.約0.01〜約3重量%の酸化防止剤を含む高性能ホットメルト接着剤組成物であって、
ホットメルト接着剤は可塑剤を実質的に含まず、
ホットメルト接着剤は約105℃未満のDSC融点を有する他のポリマーを実質的に含まない高性能ホットメルト接着剤組成物。 - ポリマーが(i)約110〜約140℃の融点および(ii)約−70〜約−55℃のガラス転移温度を有する、請求項1に記載の高性能ホットメルト接着剤組成物。
- ポリマーが、(i)約106℃を超える融点を有する、請求項1に記載の高性能ホットメルト接着剤組成物。
- ポリマーが、190℃で2.16kgのASTM D 1238で測定された約1〜約30g/10分のメルトインデックスを有する、請求項1に記載の高性能ホットメルト接着剤組成物。
- 接着剤の粘度が、ブルックフィールド粘度計No.27スピンドルで測定して350°Fで2500〜約10,000cPsである、請求項1に記載の高性能ホットメルト接着剤組成物。
- ポリマーがオレフィンブロックコポリマーである、請求項1に記載の高性能ホットメルト接着剤組成物。
- オレフィンブロックコポリマーが、エチレン−プロピレン、エチレン−ブテン、エチレン−ペンテン、エチレン−ヘキセン、エチレン−ヘプテンおよびエチレン−オクテンである、請求項5に記載の高性能ホットメルト接着剤組成物。
- 接着剤が、充填剤、添加剤、顔料、染料、ポリマー添加剤、消泡剤、防腐剤、増粘剤、レオロジー調整剤、保湿剤、成核剤、粘着防止剤、加工助剤、紫外線安定剤、中和剤、潤滑剤、界面活性剤、接着促進剤をさらに含む、請求項7に記載の高性能ホットメルト接着剤組成物。
- 2つの基材と高性能ホットメルト接着剤組成物とを含む物品であって、高性能ホットメルト接着剤組成物が、
A.(i)約110〜約140℃のDSC融点および(ii)約−70〜約−55℃のガラス転移温度を有する約20重量%〜約50重量%のポリマー;
B.約20〜約40重量%のワックス;および
C.約30〜約70重量%の粘着付与剤;および
D.約0.01〜約3重量%の酸化防止剤を含み、
ホットメルト接着剤は可塑剤を実質的に含まず、
ホットメルト接着剤は約105℃未満のDSC融点を有する他のポリマーを実質的に含まず、
高性能ホットメルト接着剤は、140°Fを超える熱応力値を有し、−20°F、0.075g/inのビーズ重量で80%を超える接着引裂値を有する物品。 - 2つの基材のそれぞれが、未使用およびリサイクルクラフト紙、高密度および低密度クラフト、チップボード、コーティングされたクラフトおよびチップボード、プラスチックフィルム、木材、金属箔、剥離紙、綿、不織布、複合フィルムからなる群から独立して選択される、請求項9に記載の物品。
- 基材が、未使用およびリサイクルクラフト紙、高密度および低密度クラフト、ならびにコーティングされたクラフト紙から選択される、請求項10に記載の物品。
- ポリマーが、190℃、2.16kgでASTM D 1238に従って測定して、約1〜約30g/10分のメルトインデックスを有する、請求項9に記載の物品。
- 接着剤の粘度が、ブルックフィールド粘度計、スピンドルNo.27で測定して350°Fで2500〜約10000cPsであり、loPP熱応力法に従って140°Fを超える熱応力値を有する、請求項9に記載の物品。
- ポリマーが、エチレン−プロピレン、エチレン−ブテン、エチレン−ペンテン、エチレン−ヘキセン、エチレン−ヘプテンおよびエチレン−オクテンからなる群から選択されるオレフィンブロックコポリマーである、請求項9に記載の物品。
- ポリマーが、エチレン−プロピレンまたはエチレン−オクテンである、請求項14に記載の物品。
- 接着剤が、充填剤、添加剤、顔料、染料、ポリマー添加剤、消泡剤、防腐剤、増粘剤、レオロジー調整剤、保湿剤、成核剤、粘着防止剤、加工助剤、UV安定剤、中和剤、潤滑剤、界面活性剤、接着促進剤をさらに含む、請求項9に記載の物品。

基材は紙、板紙、プラスチックフィルム、金属箔、剥離紙、綿、または不織布であり、
接着剤の粘度は、ASTMに従って測定して、350°Fで約2500〜約10000cPsである方法。
