10×10cmの黒色画用紙1.30g上にヘキシルパラベン(4−ヒドロキシ安息香酸ヘキシル)が0.026質量%となるようにアセトンで濃度を調整した各供試検体を1ml滴下処理し、10分間風乾した後、黒色画用紙を2.5cm角に切断し、試験区とした。
なお供試検体と同様に、アセトンのみを処理した区をブランクとした。

[実施例2]
三角フラスコに水86gを加え、そこへ寒天4gを100℃に加熱・撹拌しながら添加した。加熱を停止し、さらにヘキシルパラベン(4−ヒドロキシ安息香酸ヘキシル)10gを撹拌しながら加えた。撹拌を停止し、氷で冷却した0.5Lのバットに流した後、そのまま1時間冷却し、ヘキシルパラベン10質量%含有寒天を得た。
Slug evasion test [Example 2]
86 g of water was added to an Erlenmeyer flask, and 4 g of agar was added thereto with heating to 100 ° C. with stirring. ドラフト内に蛇腹状に折ったアルミホイルを敷き、アルミホイルの上に直径55mmの定性ろ紙(ADVANTEC)を置いた。予め1.8%w/vに調整したヘキシルパラベン(4−ヒドロキシ安息香酸ヘキシル)アセトン溶液0.4mLを、ろ紙の片面全体に万遍なく滴下した(処理量10%w/w)。そのままドラフト内にて3時間、風乾した(ヘキシルパラベン処理ろ紙)。ブランク用として、同様の方法でアセトンのみを滴下し乾燥させたろ紙(ブランクろ紙)を用意した。
Termite Repellent Test [Example 3]
