接合部(5)に使う接合部本体(9)は、蝶番(11)で開閉できるもので、接合部本体突片(12)にボルト挿入孔(13)が空いているものとする。
スコップ(1)に接合部本体(9)を取り付け、環体A(7)を蝶ボルト(14)・ナット(15)・ワッシャー(16)で固定する。
空洞部(19)のある短柄(20)に環体B(8)を貫通軸(21)で固定し、その逆に把手(22)を着ける。
環体A(7)の隙間A(17)に、環体B(8)の隙間B(18)を通し結合させる。
利き手でスコップ(1)の握り部(6)を持ち、逆の手で補助把手部(4)の把手(22)を握持する。
なるべく掬い部(3)の近くに接合部(5)を取り付けすることにより、接合部(5)を支点とし、掬い部(3)を作用点・握り部(6)を力点として、梃子の原理を用いて、掬い部(3)で掬った土・泥・雪などを遠くへ放り上げる一連の動作が楽になる事が実証出来た。
環体A・Bの間に環体を増減することにより、作業者の好みや重さに応じて補助把手部(4)の長さを調節することができ、疲労する度合いは極めて小さい結果が得られた。
接合部(5)と補助把手部(4)の接合(10)に、環体A・Bを用いることにより、自由自在に補助把手部(4)を動かすことが可能になる。
蝶ボルト(14)を使用することにより、工具を使用せず楽に取付ができる。
