Claims (16)
- 表示パネルであって、
薄膜トランジスタ基板と、光配向層と、を含み、
薄膜トランジスタ基板は、複数の画素セルを有し、各前記画素セルが複数のサブ画素を有し、
光配向層は、複数の前記画素セル上に位置し、各前記サブ画素に対応する少なくとも2つの異なる方向の配向を有し、
光線が各前記サブ画素を通過するときに、前記表示パネルに暗縞パターンが現れ、前記暗縞パターンは、第1の主暗縞と、第1の副暗縞と、を含み、
前記第1の主暗縞は、前記光配向層における異なる方向の配向の間の境界部に位置し、第1方向に延伸し、前記第1の主暗縞の中央部に第1の主暗縞の幅を有し、
前記第1の副暗縞は、前記第1の主暗縞に接続され、第2方向に延伸し、前記第1の副暗縞の中央部に第1の副暗縞の幅を有し、
前記第1方向と第2方向が異なり、前記第1の主暗縞の幅が前記第1の副暗縞の幅よりも大きいことを特徴とする表示パネル。 - 前記第1の主暗縞の幅と前記第1の副暗縞の幅との比が1.4〜2であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示パネル。
- 各前記画素セルにおける異なる色の複数の前記サブ画素の複数の前記主暗縞の幅が互いに異なることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示パネル。
- 前記第1の副暗縞は、所在する前記サブ画素の境界に平行に隣接して形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示パネル。
- 各前記暗縞パターンは逆卍状であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示パネル。
- 前記暗縞パターンは、第2の主暗縞と第2の副暗縞とをさらに含み、
前記第2の主暗縞は、前記光配向層における異なる方向の配向の間の境界部に位置し、その一端が前記サブ画素の中心点で前記第1の主暗縞に接続され、前記第1方向と逆の方向に延伸し、前記第2の主暗縞の中央部に第2の主暗縞の幅を有し、
前記第2の副暗縞は、前記第2の主暗縞の他端に接続され、前記第2方向と逆の方向に延伸し、前記第2の副暗縞の中央部に第2の副暗縞の幅を有し、
前記第2の主暗縞の幅が前記第2の副暗縞の幅よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示パネル。 - 前記暗縞パターンは、第3の主暗縞と第3の副暗縞とをさらに含み、
前記第3の主暗縞は、前記光配向層における異なる方向の配向の間の境界部に位置し、その一端が前記サブ画素の中心点で前記第1の主暗縞と前記第2の主暗縞とに接続され、前記第2方向に延伸し、前記第3の主暗縞の中央部に第3の主暗縞の幅を有し、
前記第3の副暗縞は、前記第3の主暗縞の他端に接続され、前記第1方向と逆の方向に延伸し、前記第3の副暗縞の中央部に第3の副暗縞の幅を有し、
前記第3の主暗縞の幅が前記第3の副暗縞の幅よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の表示パネル。 - 前記暗縞パターンは、第4の主暗縞と第4の副暗縞とをさらに含み、
前記第4の主暗縞は、前記光配向層における異なる方向の配向の間の境界部に位置し、その一端が前記サブ画素の中心点で前記第1の主暗縞と前記第2の主暗縞と前記第3の主暗縞とに接続され、前記第2方向と逆の方向に延伸し、前記第4の主暗縞の中央部に第4の主暗縞の幅を有し、
前記第4の副暗縞は、前記第4の主暗縞の他端に接続され、前記第1方向に延伸し、前記第4の副暗縞の中央部に第4の副暗縞の幅を有し、
前記第4の主暗縞の幅が前記第4の副暗縞の幅よりも大きいことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の表示パネル。 - 表示パネルの製造方法であって、
複数の画素セルを有し、各前記画素セルが複数のサブ画素を有する薄膜トランジスタ基板を提供する工程と、
各前記サブ画素に対応する少なくとも2つの異なる方向の配向を有する光配向層を前記画素セル上に形成する工程と、を含み、
光線が各前記サブ画素を通過するときに、前記表示パネルに暗縞パターンが現れ、前記暗縞パターンは、第1の主暗縞と、第1の副暗縞と、を含み、
前記第1の主暗縞は、前記光配向層における異なる方向の配向の間の境界部に位置し、第1方向に延伸し、前記第1の主暗縞の中央部に第1の主暗縞の幅を有し、
前記第1の副暗縞は、前記第1の主暗縞に接続され、第2方向に延伸し、前記第1の副暗縞の中央部に第1の副暗縞の幅を有し、
前記第1方向と第2方向が異なり、前記第1の主暗縞の幅が前記第1の副暗縞の幅よりも大きいことを特徴とする表示パネルの製造方法。 - 前記光配向層を前記画素セル上に形成する工程は、
前記画素セル上に配向層を形成する工程と、
前記サブ画素の第1領域を第1配向マスクで覆った状態で光照射処理を行うことによって、一部が一の方向の配向を有する前記光配向層を形成する工程と、
前記サブ画素の第2領域を第2配向マスクで覆った状態で光照射処理を行うことによって、他の一部が他の方向の配向を有する前記光配向層を形成する工程と、をさらに含み、
前記第1領域と前記第2領域との間に間隔があることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の表示パネルの製造方法。 - 前記間隔が0〜10μmであることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の表示パネルの製造方法。
- 前記間隔が5〜10μmであることを特徴とする請求項11に記載の表示パネルの製造方法。
- 前記第1配向マスクの配向方向と前記第2配向マスクの配向方向が互いに逆であることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の表示パネルの製造方法。
- 各前記画素セルは、赤サブ画素と、緑サブ画素と、青サブ画素とを含み、
前記赤サブ画素、前記緑サブ画素及び前記青サブ画素のそれぞれにより生じる複数の前記暗縞パターンを調整するように、前記第1領域と前記第2領域との間の間隔を調整することによって、前記表示パネルにより生成される白色光の色度座標上の位置を調整する工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項10に記載の表示パネルの製造方法。 - 前記第1の主暗縞の幅と前記第1の副暗縞の幅との比が1.4〜2であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の表示パネルの製造方法。
- 各前記暗縞パターンは逆卍状であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の表示パネルの製造方法。
