図1は、本発明に係る車輪用軸受装置の第1の実施形態を示す縦断面図、図2は、図1の車輪用軸受を示す要部拡大図、図3は、図2のシール部を示す要部拡大図、図4は、図2のキャップ部を示す要部拡大図、図5(a)〜(c)は、本発明に係る外方部材の製造方法を示す説明図、図6(a)〜(c)は、本発明に係る内方部材の製造方法を示す説明図、図7は、図1の車輪用軸受装置の製造方法を示す説明図、図8は、図1のハブ輪の硬化層範囲を示す説明図、図9は、図8のハブ輪の変形例を示す説明図である。なお、以下の説明では、車両に組み付けた状態で車両の外側寄りとなる側をアウター側(図1の左側)、中央寄り側をインナー側(図1の右側)という。
図5(a)に示すように、外方部材5の車体取付フランジ5bをはじめ、環状溝5a等の外周面、および嵌合面10と鍔部10aおよび止め輪溝14等の内周面がそれぞれ旋削加工によって形成される。そして、嵌合面10に外輪6’が圧入されると共に、止め輪溝14に止め輪15が装着され、外輪6’が止め輪15と鍔部10aによって位置決め固定される。
図16(a)に示すように、外方部材40の車体取付フランジ40aをはじめ、環状溝5a等の外周面、および嵌合面10と鍔部10aおよび止め輪溝14等の内周面がそれぞれ旋削加工によって形成される。そして、嵌合面10に外輪6’が圧入されると共に、止め輪溝14に止め輪15が装着され、外輪6’が止め輪15と鍔部10aによって位置決め固定される。また、外輪6’は、複列の外側転走面6a’、6a’をはじめ外径面6bと幅面6cが研削取代を残した状態で旋削加工されると共に、熱処理(ズブ焼入れ)された後に、複列の外側転走面6a’、6a’を除く外周面6bと幅面6cが研削加工されている。

Claims (12)
- 一端部に車輪を取り付けるための車輪取付フランジを一体に有し、外周にこの車輪取付フランジから肩部を介して軸方向に延びる小径段部が形成されたハブ輪と、このハブ輪に圧入され、ナックルに対して前記ハブ輪を回転自在に支承する車輪用軸受を備えた車輪用軸受装置の製造方法において、
前記車輪用軸受が、外周に前記ナックルに取り付けられるための車体取付フランジを一体に有し、内周に円筒状の嵌合面が形成された外方部材と、この外方部材の嵌合面に圧入固定され、内周に複列の外側転走面が形成された外輪と、この外輪に内挿され、外周に前記複列の外側転走面に対向する内側転走面が形成された一対の内輪と、これら内外輪の両転走面間に保持器を介して転動自在に収容された複列の転動体とを備え、前記外輪が前記外方部材に圧入固定された後に前記複列の外側転走面が研削加工されることを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置の製造方法。 - 前記外方部材の嵌合面が旋削加工のままとされている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置の製造方法。
- 前記外方部材が板材から塑性加工によって形成されている請求項1または2に記載の車輪用軸受装置の製造方法。
- 前記一対の内輪のうちアウター側の内輪が前記ハブ輪に圧入された後に前記内側転走面が研削加工される請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置の製造方法。
- 前記外輪の幅寸法が前記一対の内輪のセット幅よりも小さく設定されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置の製造方法。
- 前記外輪の端面が前記内輪の外径面に掛からないように設定されている請求項5に記載の車輪用軸受装置の製造方法。
- 前記ハブ輪の外周に高周波焼入れによって表面硬さを50〜64HRCの範囲に硬化層が形成され、この硬化層が前記肩部およびこの肩部と前記小径段部の隅部のみに設定されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置の製造方法。
- 前記外方部材のアウター側の端部にシールが装着され、前記外方部材と内輪との間に形成される環状空間の開口部が密封されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置の製造方法。
- 前記外方部材のアウター側の端面が前記車輪取付フランジのインナー側の側面に軸方向すきまを介して対向し、ラビリンスシールが形成されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置の製造方法。
- 前記外方部材のインナー側の端部にキャップが装着され、このキャップが耐食性を有する非磁性体のオーステナイト系ステンレス鋼板からプレス加工によって断面コの字状に形成されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置の製造方法。
- 一端部に車輪を取り付けるための車輪取付フランジを一体に有し、外周にこの車輪取付フランジから肩部を介して軸方向に延びる小径段部が形成されたハブ輪と、このハブ輪に圧入され、ナックルに対して前記ハブ輪を回転自在に支承する車輪用軸受を備えた車輪用軸受装置において、
前記車輪用軸受が、外周に前記ナックルに取り付けられるための車体取付フランジを一体に有し、内周に円筒状の嵌合面が形成された外方部材と、この外方部材の嵌合面に圧入固定され、内周に複列の外側転走面が形成された外輪と、この外輪に内挿され、外周に前記複列の外側転走面に対向する内側転走面が形成された一対の内輪と、これら内外輪の両転走面間に保持器を介して転動自在に収容された複列の転動体とを備え、前記外輪が前記外方部材に圧入固定された後に前記複列の外側転走面が研削加工されていることを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置。 - 一端部に車輪を取り付けるための車輪取付フランジを一体に有し、外周にこの車輪取付フランジから肩部を介して軸方向に延びる小径段部が形成されたハブ輪と、このハブ輪に圧入され、ナックルに対して前記ハブ輪を回転自在に支承する車輪用軸受を備え、
前記車輪用軸受が、外周に前記ナックルに取り付けられるための車体取付フランジを一体に有し、内周に円筒状の嵌合面が形成された外方部材と、この外方部材の嵌合面に圧入固定され、内周に複列の外側転走面が形成された外輪と、この外輪に内挿され、外周に前記複列の外側転走面に対向する内側転走面が形成された一対の内輪と、これら内外輪の両転走面間に保持器を介して転動自在に収容された複列の転動体とを備えた車輪用軸受装置において、
前記外方部材が前記外輪よりも清浄度の低い材料からなることを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置。
