本明細書において使用される場合、ポリマー系ビグアナイドは2以上のビグアナイド基を含む化合物である。ポリマー系ビグアナイドにおいては、ビグアナイド基は、例えば、架橋基を介して互いに結合されうる。化合物「ビグアナイド」は2つの水素でキャップされたビグアナイド基である。
ポリマー中でのアクリルアミドの重合単位の好ましい最小量はポリマーの重量を基準にして5重量%、より好ましくは15重量%、より好ましくは50重量%以上、より好ましくは60重量%以上、より好ましくは70重量%以上、より好ましくは80重量%以上である。

「すぐ使用できる配合物」が以下のように製造された。水溶液の形態のポリマー(約30%固形分)が混合容器に入れられた。脱イオン水が添加され攪拌された。NaOH水溶液(1重量%)でpHが約8に調節された。添加剤(もしあれば)が添加され攪拌された。殺生物剤(水溶液の形態)が添加され攪拌された。各材料の量は以下の実施例において示される濃度を生じさせるように選択された。
すぐ使用できる配合物が実施例2におけるように製造された。100マイクロリットルの配合物を25.4mm(1インチ)×50.8mm(2インチ)のスライドガラスに移すことにより膜が製造された。この表面にわたってこの液体が広げられ、周囲温度(20℃〜25℃)および周囲湿度(10%〜50%RH)の条件下で乾燥させられた。乾燥後、それぞれの膜は膜の透明性および曇りについて目視で評価された。膜の粘着性またはべとつき(greasiness)は手袋を嵌めた指で触れることにより評価された。所望の殺生物剤含有膜は乾燥時に透明で、粘着性およびべたつく残留物がない。
以下のサンプルにおいては、殺生物剤はB1であり、ポリマーの重量%は2.0%であった。この方法は摩耗を伴っていない。すぐ使用できる配合物が実施例2におけるように製造された。
すぐ使用できる配合物が実施例2におけるように製造され、EPAプロトコルにおけるように膜が製造された。
試験条件:バリエーションI、22.8℃、71%RH試験中(スライドは50%RHで乾燥)、殺生物剤濃度は3000ppmであった。

注5:微生物は多すぎてカウントできなかった。
以下の配合物が製造された。各配合物は配合物の重量を基準にして0.3重量%のB1を含んでいた。示された材料に加えて、各配合物の残部は水であった。配合物6−1Cは比較例である。各配合物の長方形の層は硬質平面上にドローダウンされた。この層を造った直後に、この層は長方形であり、それぞれは平均幅(W0)を有していた。各層は5分後に観察された。この層が長方形であった場合には、その幅(W5)はパーセンテージ(100×W5/W0)として報告される。
濃縮物は配合物6−3におけるのと互いに同じ比率でB1、P4およびS3を用いて製造された。濃縮物中の水の量は配合物6−3におけるよりも少なく、濃縮物中の水以外の各成分の濃度は配合物6−3における成分の濃度よりも15倍高かった。密閉バイアル中の濃縮物および配合物6−3が屋内周囲温度(約20℃)で貯蔵された。全てのサンプルは開始時に透明であり、2週間後に依然として透明であった。
第四級アンモニウム殺生物剤化合物が、本発明に好適な本明細書に上述される濃度でアニオン性界面活性剤と混合された。結果は曇った溶液であって、容器の底に物質の堆積があった。6−3および6−4のような配合物は、ポリマーが除かれた場合には、このような曇ったおよび/または堆積を示すであろうと考えられる。
Claims (10)
- (a)1種以上の殺微生物剤
(b)アクリルアミドを重合単位として含み、非アニオン性である1種以上の可溶性ポリマー、並びに
(c)溶媒
を含み、前記ポリマーが前記溶媒に溶解しているコーティング組成物。 - 前記殺生物剤が1種以上の第四級アンモニウム殺生物剤、1種以上のフェノール系殺生物剤、1種以上のビグアナイド殺生物剤、およびこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される1種以上の殺生物剤を含む、請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記組成物が1種以上の湿潤剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記組成物が1種以上のアニオン性界面活性剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記殺生物剤が1種以上の第四級アンモニウム殺生物剤を含む請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記殺生物剤が1種以上の第四級アンモニウム殺生物剤を含み、かつ前記組成物が1種以上のアニオン性界面活性剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 前記第四級アンモニウム殺生物剤:前記アニオン性界面活性剤の重量比が5:1〜30:1である、請求項7に記載のコーティング組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の組成物の層を適用し、かつ前記層を乾燥させるかまたは前記層が乾燥するのを可能にすることを含む、基体をコーティングする方法。
- 請求項9に記載の方法により製造されたコーティングされた基体。
