Abstract
Description
様々なセラミックスラリーを準備又は購入し、前もってグリットブラスト加工し、及び音波洗浄したイリジウムの腐食に付与した。各スラリーを二段階に塗って付与した。各段階で回転する及び残りを塗る前に、周囲条件下で十分に乾燥した。二つの完全な層は各サンプル腐食に付与されたが、粘性のような各混合物の性質により、最終的な厚さを決定した。
実験の一部として、イリジウムの小さな腐食を切り取り洗浄した。秤量後、各腐食をアルミナるつぼ内にセラミック粉末床に置いた。次に、そのるつぼを同じセラミック粉末で満たし、その腐食を完全に埋め込んだ。一つの事例として、実施例1の最も優れたスラリーをその腐食を覆うために使用した。そのるつぼ及びその中身を小さなマッフル炉に置き、温度を1600℃まで上昇させ、168時間、保持した。
三つのイリジウムの腐食を同じロール状のイリジウムシートから切り出した。それぞれ「スラリー3」で表面を被覆し、乾燥させ、腐食の二つを二次被覆され、それらの一つを三次被覆した。次に、その腐食を、実施例1で行った通り、336時間、1200℃、空気中で加熱した。その結果を図3に示した。多層被覆が保護を著しく改善していることは明らかである。実際に、三つの被覆に関して、単層被覆より桁違いに改善されている。被覆金属の温度サイクルはより厚い酸素の剥離を示すが、表面の顕微鏡検査は酸化物の残存層が維持されていることを示し、その残存層がある程度の保護を与え続ける。
初期試験は「スラリー3」の単層コーティングを使用してタンタル及びモリブデンの腐食を被覆し、48時間、1400℃、空気中に、被覆した腐食を曝して行った。タンタルの腐食は壊滅的な酸化を示し、体積が増加し酸素層の剥離を引き起こした。しかし、モリブデンの腐食は、被覆の際の、ひびとほぼ一致するいくつかの小さな領域において、非常に良好な保護が見られた。被覆の特徴と下地金属の最適化が行われなければならない。しかしながら、この試験は、例えば設置目的に関して、モリブデンの有用な短期保護の可能性を示し、或いは又は本発明が白金被覆物と共に用いられることを示している。
Claims (10)
- 保護された金属であって、
白金族金属、モリブデン、レニウム、ニオブ、タングステン及びそれら金属のいずれの合金から成る群から選択された金属基材を有してなり、
酸素―含有雰囲気に曝された表面上に、少なくとも200ミクロンの厚さ、特に500〜1000ミクロンの厚さ、の連続的複合被膜を備えてなり、
前記被膜が金属酸化物マトリクス中の金属酸化物粒子を含んでなる、保護された金属。 - 前記金属基材が、イリジウム又はその合金である、請求項1に記載された、保護された金属。
- 前記金属基材が白金又はその合金である、請求項1に記載された、保護された金属。
- 前記金属基材がモリブデン、レニウム、ニオブ、タングステン又はその合金である、請求項1に記載された、保護された金属。
- 前記金属酸化物マトリクスが、ケイ酸塩から得られたものである、請求項1〜4の何れか一項に記載された、保護された金属。
- 前記金属酸化物粒子が全組成100%に対して、
45重量%〜90重量%のAl2O3と、
10重量%〜45重量%のSiO2と、
1%未満のFe2O3と、
その他の金属酸化物とを含んでなる、請求項1〜5の何れか一項に記載された、保護された金属。 - 前記被膜が、二層以上の被覆により形成されてなる、請求項1〜6の何れか一項に記載あれた、保護された金属。
- 昇温での酸素―含有雰囲気中の酸化から、金属基材の表面を保護する方法であって、
前記金属基材が、白金族金属、モリブデン、レニウム、ニオビ、タングステン及びそれら金属の何れかの合金からなる群から選択されてなり、
前記金属基材表面に、金属酸化物マトリクス又は金属酸化物マトリクス前駆体と共に金属酸化物粒子の被膜を付与してなる、方法。 - 前記が、二以上の被覆の用途を備えてなる、請求項8に記載された、方法。
- ガラス製造装置において、請求項1〜6の何れか一項に記載された、保護された金属の使用。
