Abstract
Description
本願は、米国特許法第119条(e)に基づき、2006年9月18日出願の米国仮特許出願第60/845,298号に対して優先権を主張する。前記特許文献の全容は、参照により本願に援用される。
実施形態において、第1生体内分解性部材および第2生体内分解性部材は連続して腐食する。所望により、1つ以上の部材は、少なくとも一部分において、装置本体によって生体環境から隔離され得る。例えば、1つ以上の部材は、装置本体の凹部内に保持され得る。
医療装置は、装置本体および第1部材がそれぞれ金属材料を含み、それらの金属が共に、約+0.25Vを超える、例えば+0.75Vまたは+1.25Vの、標準電池電位を有するガルバニ対を形成するようなものであり得る。
本願において言及するすべての刊行物、特許出願、特許、および他の参考文献は、参照によって余すところなく本願に援用される。
例えば、図5を参照すると、多孔質金属成分は、例えば、約0.01ミクロン〜20ミクロンの直径を有する金属粒子を焼結して、流体が流れ得る小さな(例えば約0.05〜約0.5ミクロンの)相互に接続した空隙63と、大きな(例えば約1ミクロン〜約10ミクロンの)相互に接続した空隙65とを有する多孔質材料62を形成することによって、製造することができる。多孔質材料の微細構造は、例えば、用いられる粒径および材料の制御によって、および焼結過程の間に加えられる圧力および温度の制御によって、制御することができる。多孔質材料内の空隙は、例えば、多孔質材料に挿入されている治療薬の貯蔵所として用いられ得る。
他の管腔としては、胆管管腔、肝管腔、膵管腔、尿道管腔および尿管管腔が挙げられる。
本発明の多数の実施形態について説明してきた。さらに他の実施形態も可能である。
例えば、金属が最外側部材である実施形態が記載されているが、いくつかの実施形態では、生体内分解性ポリマー材料が最外側部材である。これは、管腔に治療薬を直ちに送達し、その後に放出を行わず、再び送達することが望ましい場合に、有益となり得る。

Claims (20)
- 第1生体内分解性部材および第2生体内分解性部材を保持する装置本体を有する医療装置であって、前記第1部材または前記第2部材のうちの一方は生体内分解性金属材料またはセラミックを含み、他方は生体内分解性ポリマー材料を含む、医療装置。
- 前記第1生体内分解性部材および前記第2生体内分解性部材は連続して腐食する、請求項1に記載の医療装置。
- 前記第2部材は、前記第1部材の腐食の間、生体環境から実質的に隔離されている、請求項2に記載の医療装置。
- 前記第2部材は、少なくとも一部分において、前記装置本体によって生体環境から隔離されている、請求項2に記載の医療装置。
- 前記第1部材、前記第2部材またはそれらの組み合わせは、前記装置本体の凹部内に保持されている、請求項2に記載の医療装置。
- 前記第1部材は生体内分解性金属であり、かつ前記第2部材は生体内分解性ポリマーであり、前記第1部材は前記第2部材の前に腐食する、請求項2に記載の医療装置。
- 該医療装置は内部人口器官の形態にある、請求項1に記載の医療装置。
- 前記装置本体は耐食性材料から形成されている、請求項1に記載の医療装置。
- 前記耐食性材料は、ポリシクロオクテン(PCO)、スチレン‐ブタジエンゴム、ポリ酢酸ビニル、ポリフッ化ビニリジン(PVDF)、ポリメチルメタクリレート(PMMA)、ポリウレタン、ポリエチレン、ポリ塩化ビニル(PVC)、およびそれらのブレンドのうちから選択されたポリマー材料である、請求項8に記載の医療装置。
- 前記耐食性材料は、ステンレス鋼、ニチノール、ニオブ、ジルコニウム、白金−ステンレス鋼合金、イリジウム−ステンレス鋼合金、チタン−ステンレス鋼合金、モリブデン、レニウム、およびモリブデン−レニウム合金のうちから選択される金属材料である、請求項8に記載の医療装置。
- 前記第1部材、前記第2部材、またはそれらの組み合わせの内部か、上か、または内部および上の双方に配置された治療薬をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の医療装置。
- 前記治療薬はパクリタキセルまたはその誘導体を含む、請求項11に記載の医療装置。
- 該医療装置は、前記装置本体が内部人口器官本体である内部人口器官の形態にあり、前記第1部材および前記第2部材は、前記内部人口器官本体内に形成された凹部内に保持されている、請求項1に記載の医療装置。
- 前記第1部材は金属材料を含み、前記第2部材は生体内分解性ポリマー材料内に分散された治療薬を含む、請求項13に記載の医療装置。

前記第1部材は、該第1部材が管腔壁と接触するように構成された内部人口器官の外面の一部を形成するように、前記内部人口器官本体によって保持されている、請求項13に記載の医療装置。 - 前記第2部材は前記第1部材に接触しており、かつ前記第1部材の内側に配置されている、請求項15に記載の医療装置。
- 前記第2生体内分解性部材と接触し、かつ前記第2生体内分解性部材の内側に配置された、生体内分解性金属材料またはセラミックを含む第3生体内分解性部材と、該第3生体内分解性部材と接触し、かつ該第3生体内分解性部材の内側に配置された、生体内分解性ポリマー材料を含む第4生体内分解性部材とをさらに備える、請求項16に記載の医療装置。
- 前記装置本体および前記第1部材はそれぞれ金属材料を含み、それらの金属材料は対をなし、その対の標準電池電位は少なくとも+0.25Vである、請求項1に記載の医療装置。
- 前記対の標準電池電位は少なくとも+0.75Vである、請求項17に記載の医療装置。
- 請求項1に記載の医療装置を製造する方法であって、
内部に形成された凹部および開口のうちの少なくとも一方を有する装置本体を提供する工程と、
第1生体内分解性部材および第2生体内分解性部材を提供する工程であって、前記第1部材または前記第2部材の一方は生体内分解性金属材料またはセラミックを含み、他方は生体内分解性ポリマー材料を含む、前記第1部材および前記第2部材を提供する工程と、
前記第1部材および第2部材を、前記開口内、凹部内またはそれらの組み合わせに配置する工程とを備える方法。
