【解決手段】リグノセルロースを含むバイオマスと有機溶媒と水とを含む混合物を液化処理に供する工程と、液化処理と同時に若しくは液化処理後に、該有機溶媒を含む液化燃料油と水溶性有機物質を含有する水相との混合物を脱水触媒と加圧下において接触させ、脱水処理に供する工程、又は該有機溶媒を含む液化燃料油と水溶性有機物質を含有する水相との混合物を水素と水素化触媒の存在下及び加圧下において接触させ、水素化処理に供する工程と、脱水処理又は水素化処理後の混合物から非水溶性液化燃料油を分離する工程とを含む、炭化水素を含む非水溶性液化燃料油の製造方法。

Description
本発明は、リグノセルロースを含むバイオマスと有機溶媒と水とを含む混合物を液化処理に供する工程と、液化処理と同時に若しくは液化処理後に、該有機溶媒を含む液化燃料油と水溶性有機物質を含有する水相との混合物を脱水触媒と加圧下において接触させ、脱水処理に供する工程、又は該有機溶媒を含む液化燃料油と水溶性有機物質を含有する水相との混合物を水素と水素化触媒の存在下及び加圧下において接触させ、水素化処理に供する工程と、脱水処理又は水素化処理後の混合物から非水溶性液化燃料油を分離する工程とを含む、炭化水素を含む非水溶性液化燃料油の製造方法(以下、「本発明に係る方法」という)である。本発明に係る方法によれば、脱水処理又は水素化処理を行うことで、液化処理後に得られる液化燃料油中の含酸素化合物が炭化水素へ転換され、また水相に含まれる水溶性有機物質が炭化水素へ転換されることで、非水溶性液化燃料油の収率を向上させることができる。また、本発明に係る方法によれば、非水溶性液化燃料油と分離される水相中の有機物質の含有量を低減することができ、当該水相を液化処理における水として再利用することができる。
図1は、本発明に係る方法に用いることができる装置を示す図である。図1に示すように、当該装置は、液化処理工程により液化燃料油を得るために、液化処理に使用する溶媒の貯蔵タンク1、溶媒移送ポンプ4、溶媒加熱器5、バイオマス液化反応器6、気液分離タンク10、液化燃料混合物(油相及び水相)貯槽17並びにそれらを接続する弁及びラインから構成される。
以下、実施例を用いて本発明をより詳細に説明するが、本発明の技術的範囲はこれら実施例に限定されるものではない。
一方、水相において、1.7重量%が有機化合物であり、98.3重量%が水であった。
バイオマス液化反応器の下流側に液化燃料油脱水反応器を設けず、バイオマスの液化処理のみを実施例1に示す同様の条件にて実施した。
一方、水相において、3.3重量%が有機化合物であり、96.7重量%が水であった。
一方、水相において、1.1重量%が有機化合物であり、98.9重量%が水であった。
一方、水相において、1.0重量%が有機化合物であり、99.0重量%が水であった。

Claims (8)
- リグノセルロースを含むバイオマスと有機溶媒と水とを含む混合物を液化処理に供する工程と、
液化処理と同時に若しくは液化処理後に、該有機溶媒を含む液化燃料油と水溶性有機物質を含有する水相との混合物を脱水触媒と加圧下において接触させ、脱水処理に供する工程、又は該有機溶媒を含む液化燃料油と水溶性有機物質を含有する水相との混合物を水素と水素化触媒の存在下及び加圧下において接触させ、水素化処理に供する工程と、
脱水処理又は水素化処理後の混合物から非水溶性液化燃料油を分離する工程と、
を含む、炭化水素を含む非水溶性液化燃料油の製造方法。 - 前記液化処理を250℃〜370℃の温度下において行うことを特徴とする、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記脱水処理又は水素化処理を250℃〜400℃の温度下において行うことを特徴とする、請求項1又は2記載の方法。
- 前記脱水処理又は水素化処理を1MPaG〜20MPaGの圧力下において行うことを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記脱水処理又は水素化処理後に分離した水溶性有機物質を含有する水相を前記水の一部又は全量として再利用することを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記脱水処理又は水素化処理後の混合物から分離した前記有機溶媒を液化処理における有機溶媒の一部又は全量として再利用することを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記有機溶媒が炭素数6〜12の芳香族炭化水素であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記芳香族炭化水素がキシレンであることを特徴とする、請求項7記載の方法。
