Description

The present invention relates to a wire harness bundling tape, and more particularly to a tape for winding and bundling around an outer peripheral surface of a bundle of a plurality of electric wire groups to prevent the electric wires from being scattered and to protect the electric wires.

A number of electric wires with connectors connected to terminals are routed on a vehicle such as an automobile, and a bundle of these electric wires is called a wire harness.
As shown in FIG. 5 (B), the wire group constituting the wire harness can be easily bent along the routing route during routing, and the adhesive tape T is attached to the outer peripheral surface of the bundled wire group W. Are wound and bound to form a wire harness 100. The tape body Ta of the adhesive tape T is generally made of a vinyl chloride tape, and the adhesive Tb is applied to the entire surface of the tape.
When the wiring harness 100 is placed in a flooded area, half-wrapping is performed to wrap the adhesive tape T in half the width so as to prevent water from entering the wire group, as shown in FIG. The Further, in the case where the wire harness is routed on the indoor side where there is no need for countermeasures against flooding, the spiral pitch of the adhesive tape T is increased as shown in FIG. Rough winding is performed to expose W. Further, there is a winding method in which the edges in the width direction of the adhesive tape are just joined and wound.

From the viewpoint of protecting the electric wire group, it is preferable that the adhesive tape T is wound around the tape shown in FIG. 5C so that the electric wire is not exposed to the outside.
However, when the adhesive tape T is spirally wound around the outer periphery of the electric wire group W in this way, the rigidity of the wire harness 100 is determined by the adhesive force of the adhesive Tb to the electric wire group and the tensile stress of the adhesive tape T. Increases and the wire harness is less likely to bend. Therefore, when routing the wire harness 100 to the vehicle, it becomes difficult to smoothly bend the wire harness along the routing route, and the clip for locking the vehicle body attached to the wire harness is used as a locking hole on the vehicle body side. If it becomes difficult to insert or interferes with other parts located along the routing route, and there are burrs or edges on other members, there is a risk of damage to the wires.

In order to prevent damage to the wire group of the wire harness due to interference with the burrs and edges of the other members described above, the present applicant has disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2008-120415 (Patent Document 1), the applicant of FIG. As shown to (B), the tape for wire harness binding which provided many convex parts in the outer peripheral surface of the tape is provided.
As shown in FIG. 6 (B), the tape is a laminated body with a tape 102 in which convex portions 102a are provided at a required pitch in the length direction and width direction on the outer surface of a flat double-sided adhesive tape 101.

When the tape of Patent Document 1 is used, the thickness of the tape increases due to the bulge of the convex portion 102a of the tape 102, and the burrs and edges of the external interference material come into contact with the convex portion 102a, thereby protecting the wire group. It is possible to eliminate the need for an exterior such as a corrugated tube.

Since the double-sided adhesive tape 101 is in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire group W and the adhesive is applied to the entire surface of the binding tape of Patent Document 1 as before, the adhesive force and the tension of the tape are as described above. The problem that the rigidity of the wire harness increases due to the stress and does not bend smoothly along the routing route has not been solved. Moreover, since the binding tape of Patent Document 1 has a two-layer structure of a double-sided adhesive tape 101 and a tape provided with a convex portion, there is a problem that the cost increases.

The present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and it is possible to reduce the increase in rigidity of the wire harness due to winding of the binding tape, and to easily bend the wire harness along the routing route. It is an issue.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problem, the present invention is a wire harness binding tape that is wound around and bundled around an electric wire group,
One side of the resin-made tape body is used as an adhesive application surface, and a ridge is provided on the both sides of the tape body in the width direction. A wire harness binding tape, characterized in that it is provided in a central region excluding an edge and is continuous in a length direction, and the ridge portion is spirally projected along the length direction when wound around the wire group. providing.

As described above, the wire harness binding tape of the present invention comprises only one tape body having one surface as an adhesive application surface, and the tape body has a protruding portion protruding to the opposite side of the adhesive application surface. Provided so that the inner surface side of the protruding portion is not adhered to the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire group, so that the adhesive force can be reduced, and accordingly, the rigidity of the wire harness is lowered and the wire harness is bent. It can be made easier. And a protruding part protrudes continuously on the outer peripheral surface of a wire harness, and a protruding part appears continuously in the circumferential direction in the state which wound the tape around the electric wire group helically. Therefore, the external interference material can easily hit the protrusion, and the protection function of the electric wire group can be enhanced as compared with the flat tape. Furthermore, although the patent document 1 has a two-layer structure in Patent Document 1, since the present invention is a single layer, the manufacturing cost of the tape can be kept low.

Further, since the protrusions are continuously provided along the length direction of the tape, the tape can be formed by continuous extrusion molding and can be easily manufactured.
Furthermore, when the protrusions are provided on the edge of the tape body in the width direction, the tape is difficult to overlap and the tape body does not adhere to the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire group, and the tape main body is peeled off from the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire group. In order to facilitate, a protrusion is provided in the central region excluding the edge in the width direction.

Therefore, if the protruding portion is a position excluding the edge in the width direction of the tape main body, the central portion in the width direction is one place, the central portion is one side closer to the one side by the width of the protruding portion, or You may provide in any of two places of the both sides which pinch | interpose a center part.

When the number of protrusions is increased, the protection function against the external interference material can be enhanced, but the adhesive force with the electric wire group is excessively lowered, and the binding function by the tape is lowered. Therefore, the number of ridges and the width of each ridge are set to be within an appropriate range depending on the correlation between the tape bundling function and the protection function.

The tape body is continuously coated with an adhesive application roller or the like on the adhesive application surface of the tape body. At this time, no adhesive is applied to the inner surface of the protruding ridges on the adhesive application surface. Therefore, even if the tape body is pulled in the flat direction by the pulling force and the inner surface of the protrusion contacts the electric wire group, the portion is not adhered to the outer peripheral surface of the electric wire group. Reduction can be maintained.

The protruding portion is a single portion that is shifted to the one side by the width of the protruding portion from the center position in the width direction, and when the tape is wrapped, the tape is wound around the base of the protruding portion of the tape that has been wound up. It is preferable to wind along the front end in the width direction.
The wire harness routed in the waterproof region is half-wrapped with a tape around its outer peripheral surface to seal the electric wire group to prevent water from entering. However, the operation of accurately winding and winding half the width of the tape requires skill.
In that respect, with the above configuration, even an unskilled person can accurately perform half-wrap winding simply by attaching the edge in the width direction of the tape to be wound later to the root of the protruding portion of the tape that has been previously wound.

The wire harness binding tape of the present invention is most preferably used as a tape that is wound and bundled around a group of electric wires arranged in an automobile, but is not limited to electric wires, and also when binding a plurality of wires. Can be used.

As described above, in the wire harness binding tape of the present invention, a protrusion is provided in the central region in the width direction so as to protrude on the side opposite to the adhesive application surface, and the protrusion is formed in the length direction. Since it is made into the continuous shape, the whole surface of a tape does not adhere to an electric wire group, but adhesive force can be reduced. And the tensile stress which arises in a wire harness by a protrusion part can be parted, and a tensile stress can also be reduced. As a result, the increase in rigidity due to tape winding of the wire harness can be reduced, and the wire harness can be bent smoothly along the routing route, improving the routing workability and easily in a position where interference with external interference materials is difficult Can be routed to.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
1 and 2 show a wire harness binding tape (hereinafter abbreviated as tape 1) according to the first embodiment.

The tape 1 has a pressure-sensitive adhesive application surface 2 a on which the pressure-sensitive adhesive 3 is applied on one side of the resin tape main body 2. The tape body 2 is made of vinyl chloride in the present embodiment, but is not limited to vinyl chloride, and may be a tape made of a resin molded product having flexibility and tensile strength, and a halogen-free resin tape is also suitable. Used.

The tape body 2 is provided with a ridge portion 4 in which a pressure-sensitive adhesive application surface 2a is depressed and bulged in a mountain shape on the opposite surface 2b in a central region excluding both side edges 2c and 2d in the width direction. In the present embodiment, two protrusions 4A and 4B are provided at intervals in the width direction. The protrusion 4 is provided continuously in the length direction of the tape body 2. The protrusions 4 are formed on the tape body 2 in the process of extruding the tape body 2.

As shown in the enlarged cross-sectional view of FIG. 1B, the adhesive 3 is not applied to the protrusions 4 on the adhesive application surface 2a of the tape body 2. For example, the pressure-sensitive adhesive 3 is applied to the pressure-sensitive adhesive application surface 2a of the extruded tape body 2 by using an application roller, and thus the protrusion 4 that is depressed on the pressure-sensitive adhesive application surface 2a side. The adhesive 3 is not applied to the inner surface (adhesive application side surface).
A part of the pressure-sensitive adhesive melted when the pressure-sensitive adhesive 3 is applied may be attached to the inner surface of the protrusion 4.

When the width D1 of the tape body 2 is 19 mm, the width D2 of each of the protrusions 4A and 4B is about 3 to 4 mm, and the application surface of the adhesive 3 is 2/3 to 1/3 of the entire width of the tape body 2 in the width direction. It is as small as two. The protrusion height H of the protrusions 4A and 4B is about 2 mm to 3 mm.
The width D2 and the height H of the protrusion 4 are not limited to the above, and for example, the width D2 of the protrusion is set corresponding to the width D1 of the tape body 2.

The tape 1 is coiled as shown in FIG. 1 (A), and as shown in FIG. 2 (A), on the outer periphery of the electric wire group W in which a number of electric wires 6 constituting the wire harness 5 are bundled. It is pulled out from the coil and wound spirally.

When the tape 1 is spirally wound around the numerous electric wires 6, as shown in FIG. 2B, the end surface 2c in the width direction of the tape 1 to be wound later on the end edge portion 2d in the width direction of the tape 1 that has been previously wound. Can be wound without exposing the wire group W to the outer surface.
In this state, two ridges 4A and 4B appear in the circumferential direction on the outer circumferential surface of the tape 1 that goes around the outer circumference of the electric wire group W, and the ridges 4 are densely present in the circumferential direction so that the wire harness 5 can be bundled.

As described above, the wire harness 5 in which the electric wire group W is bound with the tape 1 has a small adhesive surface of the tape 1 and a portion that is not adhered to the central portion of the portion that is wound once. The adhesive force to the electric wire group W can be reduced. And since the adhesive 3 is apply | coated to the both-ends edges 2c and 2d of the width direction of the tape 1, the tape 1 can be firmly fixed to the electric wire group W in the width direction.
By reducing the adhesive force to the wire group W as described above, the rigidity of the wire harness 5 does not increase, and the wire harness 5 can be easily bent as shown in FIG. As a result, when the wiring harness 5 is routed in an automobile, if there is a bend in the routing route, if a force in the bending direction is applied to the wire harness 5, the routing route can be accurately followed. It is possible to prevent interference with equipment. In addition, since the protrusions 4 protrude closely in the circumferential direction on the outer peripheral surface of the tape 1, it is easy to come into contact with the protrusions 4 even if peripheral devices interfere with each other, thereby protecting the wire group W of the wire harness 5. Can also be planned.

3 and 4 show the tape 10 of the second embodiment.
The difference from the tape 1 of the first embodiment is that there is one protrusion 4, and the protrusion 4 is only the width D2 of the protrusion 4 from the center point P in the width direction of the tape body 2 in the figure. It is located at the left side.
Other configurations are the same as those in the first embodiment.

As shown in FIG. 4, the tape 10 is an optimal tape when wound around a wire group of the wire harness 5 arranged in the waterproof region by half wrap.
That is, when the width direction edge 2c of the tape 10-2 to be wound later is added to the base of the protruding portion 4 protruding from the tape 10-1 which has been wound earlier, the tape 10-2 is moved in the width direction of the tape 10-1. Can be accurately stacked in half. That is, the protrusion 4 can be used as a mark for half-wrap winding. Thereby, even if it is an unskilled person, the tape 10 can be wound around the electric wire group W by the accurate half wrap winding with the constant pitch.
Moreover, when the tape 10 is half-wrapped, the rigidity of the wire harness 5 is increased due to the winding of the tape 10 and is difficult to bend. However, the tape 10 has the protrusion 4 that does not adhere to the electric wire group W at the center in the width direction. For this reason, the adhesive force can be reduced, and the tensile stress of the wire harness can be divided by the protrusions 4 so that the wire harness can be easily bent.
