Abstract
【解決手段】 リチウムを吸蔵・放出可能なスピネル構造を有するリチウムマンガン複合酸化物を正極活物質とし、リチウムイオンを吸蔵又は放出可能な負極と、リチウムイオン及びマンガン溶出抑制剤を含む非水電解液とからなる非水電解液電池において、前記マンガン溶出抑制剤を、次式(1)及び(2);(R1 O)3 P=N−SO3 R1 (1) (R2 O)3 P=N−SO2 −N=P(OR2 )3 (2)(式中、R1 及びR2 は、同一又は異なって、1価の有機基を示す。)から選ばれたホスファゼン誘導体の少なくとも1種以上とする。

(式中、R2 は、同一又は異なって、1価の有機基を示す。)から選ばれたホスファゼン誘導体の少なくとも1種以上であることを特徴とする非水電解液電池を提供するものである。
本発明の非水電解液電池で使用される非水電解液は、マンガン溶出抑制剤である前記一般式(1)及び前記一般式(2)から選ばれるホスファゼン誘導体の少なくとも1種以上と、リチウム塩を含有する溶液であり、好ましくは、当該ホスファゼン誘導体と非プロトン性有機溶媒を混合した混合溶媒にリチウム塩を溶解した溶液である。

Lix Mn2-y Mey O4-Z (7)
(式中、MeはMn以外の原子番号11以上の金属元素又は遷移金属元素であり、xは0<x<2.0、yは0≦y<0.6、zは0≦z<2.0の値をとる。)で示されるリチウムマンガン複合酸化物が好ましく用いられる。本発明の非水電解液電池の正極は、正極集電体上に上記正極活物質、導電剤及び結着剤等からなる正極合剤を集電体上に塗布、乾燥することにより作成される。
参考例1(ホスファゼン誘導体Aの調製)
攪拌機を付けた四つ口フラスコに五塩化燐639.5g(3.06モル)、スルファミン酸97.1g(1.54モル)及びクロロベンゼン1Lを仕込み、窒素雰囲気中で4時間、100〜105℃で反応させた。反応終了後、常法により、乾燥、蒸留精製して、トリクロロホスファゾスルホニルクロライド265.7g(収率68.8%)を得た。次いで、攪拌機を付けた四つ口フラスコに上記で得たトリクロロホスファゾスルホニルクロライド97.3g(0.39モル)とTHF700mLを仕込み、エチレングリコールモノメチルエーテルのアルコラート溶液(1.62モル)を、窒素雰囲気中で、−40〜−35℃で一昼夜攪拌下に反応させた。反応終了後、酢酸で中和した。次いで、水洗後クロロホルムで抽出して得られた有機層を脱水、濃縮して、次式;
(CH3OCH2CH2O)3P=N-SO2-OCH2CH2OCH3
で示されるホスファゼン誘導体Aを129.2g(収率81.3%)得た。

攪拌機を付けた四つ口フラスコに五塩化燐66g(0.317)モル、スルファミド15g(0.156モル)を仕込み、窒素雰囲気中で1時間、120℃で反応させた。反応終了後、過剰の五塩化燐を昇華で除去し、ビス(トリクロロホスファゾ)スルホン57g(収率100%)を得た。次いで、攪拌機を付けた四つ口フラスコに上記で得たビス(トリクロロホスファゾ)スルホン4 6g(0.126モル)とTHFを仕込み、THF0.4Lにエチレングルコールモノメチルエーテルのアルコラート溶液(0.86モル)を溶液させたTHF溶液を、窒素雰囲気下で滴下し、−20〜−15℃で一昼夜攪拌下に反応させた。反応終了後、濾過、乾燥して次式;

で示されるホスファゼン誘導体Bを45g(収率59%)得た。

LiMn2 O4 0.5gを120℃で3日間真空乾燥した。次いで、露点−90〜−100℃のアルゴン雰囲気下、容器に該LiMn2 O4 を入れ、エチレンカーボネートとジメチルカーボネートを体積比で1:1に混合した溶液にLiPF6 を1mol/Lの濃度で溶解させた溶液と、該溶液に対して、前記で調製したホスファゼン誘導体を10v/v%の濃度となるように添加し密閉した。次いで、密閉したままの状態で60℃で24時間放置し、溶液を濾過した。次いで、ろ液1.0gにエタノール10gを加え、更に超純水で50mlにメスアップしたものをICP法によりMn濃度を測定した。その結果を表1に示した。なお、ホスファゼン試料を無添加のものを実験例3とした。
(リチウムイオン二次電池の作成)
LiMn2 O4 70重量%、黒鉛粉末20重量%、ポリフッ化ビニリデン10重量%混合して正極合剤とし、これをN−メチル−2−ピロリジノンに分散させて混練ペーストを調製した。該混練ペーストをアルミ箔に塗布した後、乾燥、プレスして直径15mmの円盤に打ち抜いて正極板を得た。この正極板を用いて、セパレーター、負極、集電板、取り付け金具、外部端子、電解液等の各部材を用いてリチウム二次電池を作製した。負極としては金属リチウム箔、電解液としてはエチレンカーボネートとジエチルカーボネートの1:1混合液1リットルにLiPF6 1モルを溶解し、更に、前記実験例で調製したホスファゼン誘導体A及びBを表2の割合で添加したものを用いた。なお、ホスファゼン誘導体を電解液に含まない非水電解液二次電池を作成して比較例1とした。上記で作成した電池について、25℃及び50℃で作動させ、容量維持率及び電解液中のマンガンイオン濃度を測定した。
正極に対して0.2mA/cm2で4.3V まで充電した後、3.5V まで放電させる充放電を1サイクル行い、放電容量を測定した。次いで、50℃にて上記放電容量の測定における充放電を20サイクル行い、下記式により容量維持率を算出した。
容量維持率(%)=(20サイクル目の放電容量)×100/(1サイクル目の放電容量)
50℃にて充放電を20サイクル行なった後、電池を分解し、非水電解液中のマンガンイオン量を実験例1〜3と同様に測定した。
Claims (3)
- リチウムを吸蔵・放出可能なスピネル構造を有するリチウムマンガン複合酸化物を正極活物質とし、リチウムイオンを吸蔵又は放出可能な負極と、リチウムイオン及びマンガン溶出抑制剤を含む非水電解液とからなる非水電解液電池において、前記マンガン溶出抑制剤が、下記一般式(1);

(式中、R1 は、同一又は異なって、1価の有機基を示す。)
及び下記一般式(2);
(R2 O)3 P=N−SO2 −N=P(OR2 )3 (2)
(式中、R2 は、同一又は異なって、1価の有機基を示す。)から選ばれたホスファゼン誘導体の少なくとも1種以上であることを特徴とする非水電解液電池。 - 前記一般式(1)又は前記一般式(2)で表されるホスファゼン誘導体の式中R1 、R2 の1価の有機基は、炭素数1〜10の直鎖状又は分岐状のアルキル基、ハロゲン原子で置換された炭素数1〜10の直鎖状又は分岐状のアルキル基又はハロゲン原子で置換されていてもよい次式CH3-(OCH2 CH2 )n - (式中、nは1〜5の整数)で示される基である請求項1記載の非水電解液電池。
- 前記マンガン溶出抑制剤であるホスファゼン誘導体の含有量が、非水電解液中、体積分率で0.01〜10v/v%の範囲である請求項1又は2記載の非水電解液電池。
