Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a paper towel used for wiping such as hand wiping, cleaning and the like. In particular, it is stored in a dispenser having a take-out port at the bottom, and when the lowermost sheet is taken out from the take-out port, it is folded and laminated so that a part of the next sheet is exposed from the take-out port. It is related with the paper towel suitable for using.
When taking this form of use, paper towels are folded and stacked to be used as a paper towel bundle so that when the lowermost sheet is taken out, a part of the next sheet is exposed from the outlet.
This paper towel bundle takes the same folded laminated form as the pop-up tissue paper bundle as shown in Patent Documents 3 and 4 below.
However, the paper towel used for the dispenser with the take-out position on the bottom side has physical properties suitable for wiping applications, and it is not dropped from the dispenser's take-out port when the number of sheets decreases. The paper itself is required to have various specific physical properties that are not required for pop-up tissue paper.
On the other hand, in the manufacture of the tissue paper bundle, PCMC (Paper Converting Machine) based on the technique described in US Pat. No. 4,052,2048 (Japanese Patent Publication No. 55-1215: Prior Art Document 1).・ Company's continuous sheet folding equipment interfolder is widely used in the industry. This interfolder is also called a PCMC system facility or a multi-stand interfolder, and can produce a tissue paper bundle at an extremely high speed. (Hereinafter, also referred to as PCMC equipment in the specification.)
Traditionally, this PCMC system equipment is not suitable for thick paper towels and kitchen paper, and when this type of thick sheet is folded and commercialized, use a rotary system folder that is difficult to rotate. In view of this, the present applicant has completed the invention disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2006-240750, and enables folding and stacking of paper towels and kitchen paper even in PCMC system equipment, and high speed of paper bundles. Manufacturing was possible.
However, in PCMC system equipment, paper bundles are generally stacked so that the lateral direction of the paper is the drawing direction, or when paper bundles manufactured in PCMC system equipment are stored in a dispenser. It has been discovered that accidents such as tearing at the time of withdrawal, failure to hold in the dispenser until the end, dropping from the lower outlet, and pulling out the last several sheets in a bundle are likely to occur. In particular, it was also found that accidents such as tearing are likely to occur if the material is soft.
Therefore, a main object of the present invention is to provide a paper towel that is not easily torn despite being soft and that is held in the dispenser to the end and can be pulled out smoothly.

As described above, according to the present invention, there is provided a paper towel that is not easily torn despite being soft and is held in the dispenser to the end and can be pulled out smoothly.
Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below.
The paper towel of the present invention is a paper towel that is folded and laminated into a bundle in the same form as a so-called pop-up type so that when one sheet is pulled out, a part of the next sheet is pulled out. In addition, in this invention and the specification, what was made into one set by the number of multiple plies other than 1 ply is also expressed as one sheet. A ply number of 1 is distinguished as 1 ply.
This bundle can be suitably manufactured by a PCMC system facility described later.
In general, in the PCMC system equipment, the pulling direction is a direction along the horizontal direction of the paper. This embodiment also preferably takes this direction. Note that the vertical and horizontal stitches of the paper are determined by the flow direction of the fibers. Usually, the flow direction at the time of paper making is the vertical stitch and the direction perpendicular thereto is the horizontal stitch. According to the general concept of the industry, the horizontal and vertical eyes of the paper in the present invention have a direction along the fiber flow direction as a vertical eye and a direction perpendicular to the direction as a horizontal eye.
Although the number of plies of the paper towel of the present invention is not particularly limited, it is about 1 to 3 plies, preferably 2 plies if it is a paper towel. In addition, 200 bundles and a total of 400 sheets are preferable. A ply bonding machine can be used to make a plurality of plies.
The paper towel of the present invention has a characteristic dry tensile strength of 500 to 1000 cN / 25 mm, preferably 650 to 900 cN / 25 mm in the direction at the time of taking out (drawing direction). If it is less than 500 cN / 25 mm, tearing occurs when the dispenser is pulled out. If it exceeds 1000 cN / 25 mm, the paper becomes hard and the wiping property is inferior.
The dry tensile strength is measured at a speed of 100 mm / min by setting a test piece prepared with a width of 25 mm and a length of 150 mm on a load cell tensile tester, setting the grip interval to 100 mm.
Furthermore, the paper towel of this invention has the sheet elongation rate in the range of 4-6% in addition to the said dry tensile strength. If the sheet elongation is less than 4%, tearing occurs when the sheet is pulled out from the dispenser. If it exceeds 6%, it is difficult for the next sheet to follow and the next sheet is difficult to come out. The sheet elongation is measured in the same manner as the measurement of the dry tensile strength, and the elongation is calculated from the length immediately before the break.
On the other hand, paper towels may be pulled out with wet hands, especially after washing hands, so the wet tensile strength in the pulling direction with one sheet is preferably 100 to 300 cN / 25 mm, more preferably 200 to It is good that it is 300 cN / 25 mm. If it is less than 100 cN / 25 mm, tearing occurs when it is pulled out from the dispenser. If it exceeds 300 cN / 25 mm, the paper becomes hard and the wiping property is inferior.
The wet tensile strength is measured by setting a test piece prepared with a width of 25 mm and a length of 150 mm on a load cell tensile tester, setting the grip interval to 100 mm, and using a flat brush dampened with water. The part is wetted so that the width is 10 mm or more, and then measured at a speed of 100 mm / min.
Further, the paper towel of the present invention may have a softness of 5.5 to 14.0, preferably 7.5 to 11.0 in addition to the wet tension strength. If it is less than 5.5, the sheet becomes too soft and the sheet tends to be rounded and difficult to wipe, and if it exceeds 14.0, the sheet becomes hard and does not fit in the hand and is difficult to wipe. The softness is measured by measuring a test piece made 100 mm x 100 mm in both the vertical and horizontal directions with the handle ohm clearance set to 5 mm and calculating the formula √ ((vertical average value) x (horizontal average) Value)).
On the other hand, the paper towel of this embodiment has the wet tensile strength and softness values described above, and the average deviation MMD of the coefficient of friction per ply is 0.9 to 2.3, preferably 1.4 to 2.0. It is. If it is less than 0.9, the surface becomes smooth and the wiping property is poor. If it exceeds 2.3, it feels uncomfortable when wiping.
For the measurement of MMD, for example, “Friction Tester KESSE” manufactured by Kato Tech Co., Ltd. can be used. In the measurement, as shown in FIG. 1, a friction element having a contact surface formed by arranging 20 0.5φ mm piano wires is used, and the measurement conditions are 2 g at a pressure load of 25 g and a speed of 0.1 cm / sec. It is a condition to move. Numerical values are calculated by fitting to the formula: (value in the vertical direction) + (value in the horizontal direction).
On the other hand, the basis weight suitable as the paper towel of the present invention is 15 to 23 g / m 2 per ply. More suitable is 17 to 19 g / m 2 . When the basis weight is less than 15 g / m 2 , tearing tends to occur at the time of wiping, and when it exceeds 23 g / m 2 , it becomes hard and does not fit in the hand and tends to be difficult to wipe. The measuring method of this basic weight is based on JISP8124.
Further, the paper thickness suitable for the paper towel of the present invention is 130 to 240 μm per sheet, and particularly suitable is the range of 160 to 200. This is thicker than tissue paper or the like. This paper thickness measurement is performed using an Ozaki dial thickness gauge “PEACOCK G type” under the conditions of JIS P 8111. Specifically, confirm that there is no dust, dust, etc. between the plunger and the measuring table, lower the plunger on the measuring table, move the dial thickness gauge memory to adjust the zero point, then Then, raise the plunger and place the sample (tissue paper) on the test table, slowly lower the plunger and read the gauge at that time. At this time, only the plunger is placed. In addition, a measurement is performed by 1 sheet and it is set as the average value of 10 times.
On the other hand, it is desirable that the crepe rate suitable for the paper towel of the present invention is 10 to 28%. When the crepe rate is less than 10%, the surface becomes slippery and the wiping property is inferior, and when it exceeds 28%, the touch feels bad when wiping. The crepe rate is calculated by the formula (((peripheral speed of the dryer during papermaking) − (peripheral speed of the reel)) / (peripheral speed of the dryer during papermaking) × 100).
